03/03/2026: This place was known for a €120 smartbox that included three courses and a bottle of wine. I ordered a €30 bottle of prosecco instead of the white wine and was told I'd pay the difference, but I paid for the bottle in full, so the other bottle was lost. The final bill included two bread baskets worth €2.50 each, brought to me before the appetizer, paired with a local olive oil. I hadn't ordered it, thinking it was free, but I ended up paying for it. I'm not a big fan of bread. Moving on to the food, both appetizers were good, the raw sea bass and the friselle with scampi. For the first course, a scorpion fish mix, which could have used a pinch of extra salt, and the second courses were also very good. For dessert, I wasn't particularly pleased with the chocolate cake, which didn't have a warm center and was served in a small pan, making it awkward to eat. The place was very beautiful, and the staff was friendly and helpful. At the end of lunch, between the Smartbox and the price difference (including the infamous bottle and bread baskets), I ended up spending €175, which I thought was too much for what I ate (with €10 for a cruel cake with no chocolate center, which I thought was excessive). What can I say? Go, but maybe without getting a Smartbox.

03/03/2026: It's always nice to return to eat at DA Locanda Ruggeri, a go-to place when we're in Terracina. Everything is unique and excellent, from the food to the hospitality. We'll be back soon!!! A must try!

07/12/2025: Let me start by saying that I absolutely hate not having my pizza on my plate (or on MY cutting board, if it's pizza by the slice), and this really threw me off. It's acceptable at best for a family pizza party. The prices are high, a fact emphasized by the lack of commercial beers. It's fine to offer a selection of excellent craft beers for connoisseurs or those curious to try them, but there are also those who would settle for a Peroni or a Moretti to accompany their pizza... a Nastro Azzurro if they really want to go all out! This strange omission significantly increases the already high prices.

19/07/2025: Quando varchi l'ingresso della pizzeria di Ciro Astarita ti senti a casa. Per il calore con cui Ciro ti accoglie e per l'atmosfera che si respira nel locale. Un impasto ben lievitato, un ottimo equilibrio tra gli ingredienti, il profumo del basilico. L'arte della pizza si affina con l'esperienza e il sacrificio e Astarita la esprime con un'eccellente interpretazione.

We began with a selection of fried foods that to call excellent is an understatement: croquettes, supplì, zucchini flowers, and battered cod with pepper cream that will remain etched in your memory for its lightness, balance, and flavor. The pizza, soft and well-topped, recalls the Campania tradition without being overly thick, a carefully crafted dough that showcases every ingredient. The craft beer list is surprising, featuring quality Italian labels, and the wine selection, though smaller, is well-curated. Making the evening even more enjoyable was the company of Maurizio, the pizza chef and the soul of the place: passionate, welcoming, and always ready to share the story of his craft. His attention to the quality of the ingredients and the digestibility of the dough is evident in every dish. La Giudea isn't just a pizzeria: it's a journey through authentic flavors and local history, led by someone who truly loves what they do. Highly recommended.

25/02/2026: We returned to this restaurant for the second time. We were truly satisfied with both the food and the very kind, attentive, and professional staff. They were all young. We ate very well and paid a fair price. The quality was excellent. The first courses were excellent, the meat, and the artichokes. The focaccia with pancetta was a delight. Next time I'll try the pizza because the dough is excellent and it didn't hurt me (I'm intolerant to yeast). I recommend the tiramisu. Even though it was Sunday and the place was packed, the wait was short. I recommend it. I can't wait to go back 💜

31/01/2026: Capocavallo is the result of decades of work. You can tell because the structure is architecturally a collection of spaces constructed with different materials. A kind of fun Tetris game. But above all, there's the courtesy and helpfulness of the owners, who make you feel "at home." The fettuccine dish was the only thing I ate, but more than the dish itself, I liked the elegant simplicity of the table setting. I'll definitely be back.
