A gloomy but special Sunday, a lunch with my dear parents, in one of my favorite restaurants. La Semper Vida in Bassiano. We leave the Pontine Plain to climb the splendid hills on the slopes of the Lepini Mountains. The beautiful wooded nature that reigns supreme rises majestically, you can breathe in the mossy air, which elevates the small village of Bassiano which has remained frozen in time, thanks to the meticulous care of its inhabitants. It is in this little earthly paradise that our restaurant lives. We are welcomed by a warm, welcoming structure, completely made of scented oak wood, and large windows surrounded by greenery. Here Andrea and his Father Franco delight their customers with an Ancient Cuisine, which brings back with its extraordinary flavors a re-evaluation of today forgotten meats, such as the delicious sausages and Donkey mortadella, fresh pasta with an egg scent that inebriates the senses, young sheep stew, tasty with wild forest herbs, tartare of fine meats, plus a selection of hams with a unique, engaging, true flavour. Here you can breathe the memory of flavours, where the history of a land is handed down from generation to generation to keep the soul of a territory alive. A project that tells of an important reality. Careful selection of wines belonging to local vines that grow on the slopes of the Lepini Mountains. All this correlated with a great Love and Respect for the Animals who live happily with Franco and Andrea. Here we forget our chaotic world and immerse ourselves in a green and fragrant Nirvana.

Lovely place at the pendice of Mt. Semprevisa, in the province of Latina. Nice atmosphere, lovely home-cooked dished, with an interesting research of the products served. Great wine selection... the staff was lovely with a good knowledge on her field.

Bassiano's top!
My boyfriend and I had a great time. The food has a very high quality, you eat local things and you feel pampered by the waitress. Chef Andrea is someone who knows what he does and feels. We chose a mix of appetizers with different tastings, the hams both cooked and raw were all wonderful not to mention the boiled meat, phenomenal. They also managed to make me a gluten-free first course with mushrooms and wild boar, of unique goodness, we continued with lamb on top of a savory zabaglione sauce, again it was a real pleasure for our taste buds, then we added the porchetta with the mayonnaise accompanied by pan-fried seasonal pumpkin and finally desserts. A sublime culinary experience, excellent service, the room was sweet, friendly and super professional. The climate inside the restaurant is calm and relaxing, you can see that it has a select clientele, we also made friends with a gentleman who would have turned 80 the next day, it was a pleasant experience from start to finish. Furthermore, you are immersed in the greenery of nature, what more could you wish for?
We will definitely be back what you pay is worth everything.❤️

Siamo stati ieri sera,
Cibo ottimo servizio altrettanto, consiglio di andare.
