20/05/2025: The place itself is very cute. Terrible food and very bad pushy service. They serve artichokes (in oil) purportedly fresh from the farm It's from a can. The waiter was only interested in pushing food. He pushed the mozzarella (which was the only good thing) which was supposed to come with vegetables. I asked for the red peppers he was promoting, they didn't appear. When he brought the horrendous pasta with porcini i asked and he said it's finished. He offered Brockley which never came and he vanished, the certified liar. Avoid!!!

18/05/2025: We had booked at 1.30pm but we had an accident and arrived almost at 3pm. They were very kind, they let us eat without any rush (which given the time was not a small thing). We had two first courses and two second courses with porcini mushrooms. The pasta with artichokes was really excellent, not to mention the sliced ​​steak... perfectly cooked and very tender. We skipped the desserts only because we were full, but the look of the ones we saw passing by was inviting. Oh I forgot, while waiting for the first courses to arrive, they OFFERED us their panzanella... it's really worth it! Go and try it! Highly recommended

15/05/2025: We had been wanting to try this place for a while and we took advantage of it on Mother's Day. We had the Rosa cake, the presentation was 5 stars but the taste deserves much more. Very high quality and the flavor combinations are perfect! Best cake I've ever eaten. The kindness of the staff is the icing on the cake. 10/05/2025: The arrogance of those who don't need to work, I ask for a table for 2 adults and a child and they tell me everything is full, in an ever polite manner I propose for the following Sunday and in a haughty way they tell me that that Sunday is already completely full too.. "can I then book for the following Sunday, given the request?" I get the answer.. "But no, ma'am, I can't go and look for a free Sunday, I'm working here, call us back." Simply AMAZING!

10/05/2025: We went to this restaurant just outside Allumiere on the recommendation of an acquaintance, total satisfaction, excellent dishes, generous portions and attentive and kind staff, with a very honest cost. A sad note is the parking which requires a certain amount of luck. Still worth a try. I'm planning to go back.

07/05/2025: Mi pareja había visitado este restaurante especializado de pescado y marisco una vez antes hace 12 años, así que reservamos la cena para nuestra primera noche en Roma juntos el viernes pasado, ya que estábamos muy cerca. El menú era fantástico. La comida era deliciosa - ostras, erizos de mar, pulpo, por nombrar algunos de sus platos. El libro de vinos era ligeramente abrumador con más de 70 páginas, pero elegimos un Chablis encantador para disfrutar con nuestra comida. Nuestros camareros eran educados, pero notablemente falta de calor, lo que era obvio ya que la mayoría de los otros comensales eran claramente habituales. El restaurante cierra definitivamente este próximo sábado, ya que el chef se jubila, por lo que cuando regresemos a Roma, nos interesará ver qué restaurante reemplaza a La Rosetta en este sitio privilegiado, a la vuelta de la esquina del Panteón.

20/05/2025: if it were possible I would put it below zero. The parking is microscopic, the staff service is poor, the bathrooms a disgrace, the food mediocre, the cost very high. Unfortunate decision last Saturday, we go to dinner in this place, there must have been 2 thousand people (good for the property) the kitchen probably with the capacity to hold 50 people at the tables, we waited a short time to take the order, but practically 2 hours to have dinner, with the result that the very famous arrosticini of the king (but king of what??) were practically raw, the appetizer, two cheap crostini the bill ....... I abstain from the derogatory adjective. The toilets something unspeakable. NEVER AGAIN IN MY LIFE

26/05/2025: In visita a Calcata siamo stati a pranzo in questo ristorante con le famiglie e ci siamo trovati magicamente. Il locale molto ben curato si trova proprio all’inizio del borgo antico e offre sistemazioni sia all’interno che all’esterno. Noi siamo stati fatti accomodare in una saletta interna molto bella e riservata. Il menù è vario e ricco di piatti interessanti, ogni portata è stata ottima. Molto buona anche la scelta dei vini, la proprietaria è di una gentilezza e cortesia uniche. Tornerei a Calcata solo per questo ristorante. Consigliatissimo

We booked the day before to be sure of finding a place and it is advisable to do so because, if you want to eat inside, the restaurant has two small but very intimate rooms. Normal waiting times and pleasant staff. Good quality food and fair prices. However, if you really want to make an observation, I would suggest increasing the portions which are at the minimum limit.

A partly innovative menu but with a traditional look, proposed with care and high professionalism. We will definitely return: the excuse is to visit Calcata, the truth is to return to Caraponzolo.
