19/06/2025: Delicious pasta and focaccia. It's on the main street, but still recommended. Good white wine.

18/06/2025: Many restaurants in Trieste have a strange habit (from a non-Italian perspective) of working short hours in the morning, taking a long break during the day, and working evenings. In other words, at approximately 3 PM you don't have many options and you go to whichever restaurant is open. That is the main reason we chose this restaurant. The pizza we ate was okay, but nothing to write home about (the crust was almost tasteless, and the toppings weren't made from the best ingredients, especially the mozzarella cheese). The service was okay but nothing fancy, and the overall experience was: "it was okay, but..."

20/12/2025: A traditional trattoria serving seafood dishes. It's a special place for me, with excellent food and attentive service. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

26/10/2025: Excellent food, friendly and welcoming people. The place isn't very big, so reservations are recommended.

01/02/2026: The owner only serves clients who order more expensive seafood dishes. If you stop by for pizza, you are treated more like a bum. We wanted pizza, then we were told that they were not baking that day. Okay, we understood and ordered another. The grilled calamari was cold. The waiter had a cold attitude. When we paid, we noticed that the pizzas were baked, because the pizza chef was preparing them in front of us. It was clear that the waiter was uncomfortable when he noticed that we saw this. In short, the pizza parlor is not worth visiting. Every guest deserves the same treatment

19/12/2025: We had lunch here because all the other pizzerias were closed. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the pizza was quite good. Those who ordered pizza, despite paying €2.50 per person for the cover charge, didn't even get a piece of bread or a packet of breadsticks to munch on while they waited. Unfortunately, at a certain point, a strong sewer smell filled the area where we were having lunch. Luckily, we were already at the cafe and left immediately.

15/03/2026: A nice little cosy restaurant. Fantastic service, couldn’t fault the staff. However, both mine and my partner’s fish dishes were under seasoned and not very flavourful. A good place if you like milder mellower flavours.

As always it's amazing to see how involved and dedicated Gabriele is with what he does (presumably) best: excellent wine, genuine, authentic just grounded to the soil. 11/12/2025: My in-laws' wedding anniversary dinner. They reserved a beautiful room just for our family (about ten people). The room and table were beautifully decorated for the occasion. The dinner was very sumptuous, with a selection of seven very appetizing and haute cuisine finger food appetizers, followed by two first courses, a sorbet, a second course, and a side dish. To finish, a gourmet single-portion dessert (white chocolate Bavarian cream with hazelnut cream, mango mousse, and passion fruit). Everything was delicious and not at all heavy. Excellent service at the counter and at the table.

24/02/2026: Among all the dishes, a fantastic prosciutto crudo stands out. In a skillfully renovated room where you can breathe in the history of the ancient village, a relaxing and enjoyable evening is guaranteed, with excellent wine and the best of Friulian tradition.

12/02/2026: This restaurant is located in San Daniele (at the entrance to town) and just a short walk from the historic center. The restaurant features characteristic stone vaults reminiscent of medieval taverns. We sampled traditional Friulian dishes (the photos only show the quantity), all of which were of the highest quality, with prosciutto taking center stage. The wine cellar is excellent, with a wide selection of local wines. Good value. Service is good. Recommended for those in the area who want to explore the beauty of Friuli.

16/03/2026: During the Olio Capitale fair, we stayed at a hotel near this Trattoria. We were returning home tired from the event, so one evening we decided to find somewhere close to eat and go to bed. A few steps later, we found Trattoria Primavera: from the outside, it seemed like the perfect place to eat well and spend a fair amount. And so it was! Inside, there's a counter with classic appetizers, made the way they used to be: • Breaded eggplant • Meatloaf • Fried zucchini The whole thing was perfect for an aperitif before sitting down to dinner. At the table, we were surprised: we ordered a tagliata and a fillet with parmesan cream, mushrooms, and porcini mushrooms. They turned out to be excellent dishes, and above all, plentiful! As a side dish, we ordered a second portion of pan-fried sauerkraut: homemade with sausage!! Amazing! Cabernet Franc on tap: worth a try. After refueling, we made friends with the regulars, and being in Trieste, when you start to get along with people, it's an unforgettable experience. The amount of homemade grappa we drank, sourced from the nearby region, hasn't been officially revealed yet... but the evening was both engaging and unforgettable. Well done!!

08/03/2026: Family seafood dinner on a Friday. Everything was excellent, but the trio of fish tartare was a true culinary gem! Friendly and impeccable service. Well done!

18/01/2026: Sunday trip to the Ariis Aquarium. We were in the area and was looking for a place for lunch. After reading the reviews, I discovered this little place that piqued my interest. We booked, and it was an excellent choice. It's a beautiful, large place, with excellent, very fast service and delicious food. Great prices, a great find.

03/01/2026: Good variety of dishes, both meat and fish. Friendly and helpful service. Portions are adequate but not generous, and the prices are average and not cheap. Clean bathrooms and ample parking. Some misunderstandings with orders; it's best to clarify when choosing your dishes.

20/01/2026: The most immediately noticeable feature of this quaint Trieste seafood restaurant is undoubtedly the unique atmosphere, evident in the interiors, which I presume have remained unchanged over the last 40-50 years, dominated by a stunning refrigerator. The dishes are opulent and the food is excellent, but when I was there, perhaps they overdid the scampi, so generous in size that they were reminiscent of frozen products. The creamed cod served with croutons and the fried calamari were excellent. The service is always attentive and attentive. The price is reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food. Parking in the area is not easy.

04/01/2026: Nice place, good gubana but the price is too high in my opinion (8 euros for a 250g gubana; despite all the relevant distinctions, as it is not in a pastry shop but in a supermarket, a competitor's gubana costs 7 euros but is a good 850g.)
