23/08/2025: My husband and I had dinner last night, and giving it 5 stars is an understatement! We tasted every single ingredient in every dish, and the overall flavor was exceptional! Without exaggerating, I think it will become a Michelin-starred restaurant. We even had seconds of the desserts, they were so good! Congratulations, and we'll definitely see you soon! 😊

18/08/2025: Delicious traditional dishes, simple yet exceptional, including homemade tagliatelle with game. The main courses are also excellent.

04/10/2025: I ordered a white pizza with buffalo mozzarella and cherry tomatoes. Immediately after ordering, we were told that the kitchen and pizzeria never communicate, so the dishes would arrive at different times, and in fact they did. I wasn't disappointed. It was presented well, but it was burnt black in the center. I had asked for basil with the order, but there wasn't one. When I reminded them, I was told a story about their usual unpleasant disorganization when shopping (thanks, but I don't think it's a good presentation or comment). I also asked if they had chopped chili peppers, and they brought me a jar of chili powder without a spoon. I didn't want to use it because, in addition to the powder, I had to put my fingers in it. I was halfway through the pizza, and there were even two different waiters who asked each person what dessert they wanted while I was eating. Once the pizza was finished, my dish remained on the table for a long time, compared to the speed with which the other two took it while I was eating. A waitress then told me, after asking about these things, that unfortunately there are inexperienced people there and that it's more of a trattoria. It's okay if it's a trattoria, the prices are reasonable, dreamers, because 1 beer, 1 water, 2 pizzas, and 1 dessert with covers came to 60 euros. Something I noticed while they were bringing the beers was the unbalanced and uneven positioning of the glasses, so we had to help the girl put them on the table. I advised her to distribute the weight, placing it toward her and not outwards, otherwise it's unmanageable. It's a shame to gloss over these basic service aspects because the duck gnocchi and the other pizza were good and well-presented anyway. Perhaps it's my experience and professional bias as a maître d'.

26/09/2025: Discovered this place by chance with friends. Beautiful place, really cute location, friendly and always smiling staff. We ordered pizza, it was served very quickly and it was delicious. We'll definitely be back ☺️

17/09/2025: I've been going there regularly on vacation with my parents since 1991. Giovanni and Lorenzo still worked there. I rarely come to Lignano these days, but O'Saraceno is a must-try every time I visit! Excellent food, friendly staff. For me, it's still the best restaurant in Lignano Sabbiadoro!

15/09/2025: A guest since 1983. For me, there's no alternative in Lignano. One of the last family-owned restaurants with the finest cuisine. Homemade pasta specialties, unbeatable pizza (you can even watch it being made!)

21/09/2025: It should have been a lovely evening for two, but the service was uncaring, careless, and the wait was unreasonable, so we decided not to have a main course. The dips on the shrimp were tasteless, and the tuna tartar consisted of tuna cubes measuring 1x1 cm or larger. And then charging €9 per person for the cover charge (for the tablecloth, napkins, cutlery, six pieces of bread, and water that wasn't served—I asked what the hefty €9 was for) rounds off a classic misery.

08/08/2025: I haven't been eating here since a month ago, when my husband and I had dinner. The prices were sky-high, the service was poor, the quantities were moderate to low, and the quality was average, not excellent. I expected more than I had two years ago. And to be fair, since I'm sensitive to digestion, I slept terribly, probably due to preservatives that weren't listed on the menu.

06/09/2025: We found this place by chance on our first day in Udine and fell in love! The food is excellent, the ingredients are top-quality, and the interplay of flavors from one dish to another is magical. The staff is incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable! You must try the crostini, the cod millefeuille, the Cjarcions... The cured meats... In short, if you stop by this place, you won't regret it... I'm sure of it!

18/08/2025: The atmosphere is pleasant and very familiar. The menu offers three or four choices per course, but it changes frequently. The dishes are delicious and carefully prepared. We've been back several times.

20/09/2025: High prices, rude service, I didn't have a good experience at all! They forget the additions you order and if you mention it they'll reply annoyed. The food isn't even that great, on the contrary 🤮 .. goodbye, I don't recommend it at all.

18/06/2025: Many restaurants in Trieste have a strange habit (from a non-Italian perspective) of working short hours in the morning, taking a long break during the day, and working evenings. In other words, at approximately 3 PM you don't have many options and you go to whichever restaurant is open. That is the main reason we chose this restaurant. The pizza we ate was okay, but nothing to write home about (the crust was almost tasteless, and the toppings weren't made from the best ingredients, especially the mozzarella cheese). The service was okay but nothing fancy, and the overall experience was: "it was okay, but..."

27/05/2025: Piacevole scoperta per un pranzo di mezzogiorno in una bella Trattoria Friulana. A prezzo fisso abbiamo degustata il Prosciutto di San Daniele e le Fettuccine sempre al San Daniele, piatti abbondanti e succulenti. Ampio parcheggio a lato della provinciale. Personale attento, cordiale e veloce.

08/08/2025: Great restaurant. Large menu, from fish to meat to pizza. My favorite pizza is the Bud Spencer. Thin crust and plenty of toppings. Moderate prices. Service is fast and friendly, with a basic knowledge of German. Nothing has changed in 2022. Still great. 08/2023 Food continues to be of good quality. Everything else is OK. 08/2024 Quality is still good. 08/2025 They go out of their way to please their guests. Excellent service.

02/08/2025: Bad luck for the waitress, and a little for us too. I'll start by saying I chose the restaurant thanks to Raisin, a natural wine app that recommends it. I asked for a natural wine, and she told me the supplier hadn't delivered, suggesting organic... oh well, I must have gotten the wrong restaurant. Having seen some photos and being at Radikon, I tried to ask for Ribolla Gialla, and the waitress said yes, yes, the 33cl. Oh my goodness, I hope she understands and brings me the right wine. Radikon arrives at cellar temperature, 2008! A gem. We asked for a menu without fish, and she told me we were at the wrong restaurant. I told her I'd called and it would have been done somehow. In fact, we ordered a really good prosciutto crudo accompanied by giardiniera on a bed of tuna. Tuna? Yes, exactly, there must have been a mistake, my daughter is allergic. I asked the waitress for confirmation, and she told me it was mayonnaise, not tuna. She gave me a look that betrayed her disappointment. Okay, my daughter insists and tells me it was tuna, so I try it, and it's tuna! I get up, take it to the kitchen, and report the mistake. My daughter is allergic, she'll go to the hospital if she eats fish. A little later, a new giardiniera arrives on a bed of mayonnaise. They apologize, but I point out that it's not a matter of apologies, this is going to the hospital. Okay, I'll drink a glass of Radikon and forget about it. Back to natural wines, my neighbors at the table are the Radikon family and Paraschos, two excellent ones. Let's get to the bill: cash or card? Cash. Okay, the waitress reports the incident to the owner and asks him to prepare the bill, deducting something for the tuna issue. The owner tells her to sort it out (it's fair enough, you made a mess, deal with it), and she prepares the bill, without deducting anything! Who knows! Okay, I open my wallet and he tells me cash isn't acceptable because he had put a card payment, but I had asked for cash payment. Well, okay, we pay by card. In all this, I think back to my request for natural wines and see a fridge full of all sorts of goodies, my favorites. And thinking back to the waitress's response about organic wines, I realize that the staff needs training or they shouldn't be allowed to speak. I'm giving it two stars for friendliness. All that said, I ate well and will try to return, hoping for service on par with the cuisine. Marco
