I'd also add that the staff was extremely knowledgeable, even when faced with difficulties. I'm referring to an unexpected hailstorm, and they calmly accommodated everyone in the small restaurant. 06/10/2025: This small restaurant in Servola, a medieval village near Trieste, occupies a house built in the days of horse-drawn carriages, mules, and carriages. Today, cars barely fit, while buses glide past the walls, never losing their momentum. A first-time visitor is left feeling a bit incredulous, as if they've just stepped through a time portal: narrow, curving streets, stone houses, and "mules" savoring delicacies that nourish the soul more than the body. The tables look like they've stepped out of the golden age of Italian cinema, the kind you'd expect from a comedy starring Alberto Sordi. An orderly line on the outdoor terrace, and a cozy indoor dining room that smells of authentic everyday life, albeit with an American name. Here, service is quick and the food is quick, but not in a rush. No draft beer: only bottles, juices, and cold drinks from the dining room's refrigerator. There are a few main courses, such as chicken breast or steak, but the heart of the menu is spaghetti (or its short cousin), served still steaming hot and without too many frills. Every now and then you'll find a solitary customer or patient, indulging in a psychiatric session of gastronomic self-care at a reasonable price, but more often it's couples and groups of friends who fill the tables, transforming a lunch break or dinner into a small shared ritual. Servola has many views that tell the story of the city, but this place tells another story: that of simple, fast, and authentic food. Here, you don't dine; you participate. Enjoy your meal.

16/08/2025: We had dinner with friends in the heart of Cormons. Excellent food, excellent service, and the wait staff were extremely friendly. They even offered us a welcome platter, and all the dishes were impeccable, with great attention to presentation. A food and wine experience not to be missed if you're in the area.

09/09/2025: A welcoming, comfortable, and very pleasant accommodation. The property features spacious, tastefully furnished rooms. The cleanliness of the property is impeccable, and the furnishings are meticulously crafted. In sella has its own restaurant serving traditional Carnic cuisine. Delicious dishes and desserts are excellently prepared. La sella chianzutan is an ideal place to spend a mountain holiday seeking relaxation. We were impressed by the warmth and professionalism of the owners, so we will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

10/09/2025: It's definitely a good restaurant for dinner, but not for lunch! And it should be posted online that for lunch, there's only a workers' menu with smaller portions and simple dishes. We wanted a traditional meal, and we ended up with fusilli with meat sauce.

17/09/2025: The accommodation was nice, but the dinner was minimalist. If you're really hungry, like we were after a long day of motorcycling, you'd be better off eating out.

05/09/2025: After a week in Friuli, this is the best place I've tried. The prices are very fair and the quality is there. Recommended place!!!

22/08/2025: We've been there several times and have never been disappointed. Great, friendly service that somehow manages everything on its own. Best risotto in the area. We'll be back for that. Update: Prices have increased by €2 across the board. Not a cheap pranzo, but a bit more expensive.
