27/02/2026: Wandering around Palmanova, we found this charming little restaurant. The food was excellent, the cod Vicenza-style was fantastic, the tartare was excellent, and of course, the prosciutto crudo. The wines were EXCELLENT. The lady was very helpful in offering recommendations and, understanding our tastes, made us feel at home.

25/04/2026: We came for dinner on a Sunday. The service was extremely slow, even for the raw appetizers, and the staff, when the long wait was pointed out, was very rude. The food was average.

14/04/2026: Excellent dinner. We ordered a frico with lard to share, and then I ordered the rib-eye steak with potatoes. Everything was excellent and reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere inside.

The evening was perfect in every way: the elegant and welcoming atmosphere, the attentive and consistently friendly service, contributing to a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. The dishes were excellent, prepared with quality ingredients and presented with great care. Every course was appreciated by everyone at the table, making this festive occasion even more special. Kudos also to the organization and the attention given to the group, which made the birthday a truly successful event. I thank all the staff for their professionalism and helpfulness. It was a pleasure to spend such a pleasant evening enjoying good food and excellent service. I highly recommend this restaurant and will gladly return. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

28/05/2026: It's awful. The drinks are practically lukewarm, there's no ice, the girl at the entrance is incredibly rude, the food leaves much to be desired, there's no originality, and the opening hours are impossible if you want to go later.

20/04/2026: On Saturday evening, we had a truly fantastic evening in a comfortable, family-friendly atmosphere! The owners are both professional and very friendly! The fish ljublianka is highly recommended, and the tiramisu is a true delight... If you're in Trieste, you absolutely must stop by.

The restaurant is always meticulously prepared, focusing on the quality of the ingredients (the first courses are excellent, especially the saffron gnocchi!) and the variety of the culinary offerings. The pizza is a must-try, featuring a highly digestible dough that I always pair with the ever-present and excellent bottled red beer, Zahre di Sauris! I choose it and frequent it often because it represents a solid point of reference and never disappoints expectations. I may be biased, but my analysis is objective nonetheless, reflecting authenticity and Carnic intellectual honesty. It always favors those who have the vocation of always offering the best of themselves in what they do and how they present it. Cleanliness and order in the dining room complete the package for a full and satisfying assessment of the overall perceived and experienced service. Anna and her family are very warm and hospitable. 🙏🩵 The food is authentic, delicious, and appreciated at any time. 🍽️ Right next to the refuge, a trail begins, a walk after which you can decide what to do. Everyone will find something to suit their needs: families with small children, grandparents, and hikers looking for a more challenging climb. Truly an excellent starting point for easy, panoramic hikes to Monte Cuar. ☀️ We will be back ⛰️🩵⛰️.
