The four of us had gnocchi (homemade) with asparagus; a truly delicate dish, very pleasant; Exceptional tartare; Fillets cooked to perfection with various mixed side dishes that married everything. 20/05/2025: Ospiti di un caro amico, che frequenta questo speciale posticino, siamo rimasti soddisfatti da ogni punto di vista: qualità prezzo e gentilezza dello staff. Assolutamente consigliato. Carne di prima categoria. In quattro abbiamo preso gnocchi (fatti in casa) agli asparagi; piatto davvero delicato, molto piacevole; Tartare eccezionale; Filetti cotti alla perfezione con contorni vari misti che sposavano il tutto. Un plauso a presto davvero

20/05/2025: We found ourselves in this magnificent location for work (wedding) very beautiful, we ate very well, attentive and thoughtful staff even with us suppliers, which is not a given, trust me. And it's a wonderful place, you will understand it only by crossing the entrance gate as happened to us.

16/05/2025: Not bad, as always. The appetizers were very good. The sozzona was excellent. Today, too, not bad. In addition to the appetizers, the dessert was also very good. Back with the family. Everything was very good, even the semifreddi. Back with colleagues today. The risotto with asparagus was good, the stew was a little less so. The tiramisu was excellent.

01/05/2025: In via Torino, nella zona intorno a piazza Venezia pullulante di locali, è facile non sapere dove andare, e come evitare i bidoni. Venivo alle Botti da quando ero studente - parliamo dunque di trent’anni fa - e anche se la gestione è ovviamente cambiata da quella volta, è sempre un luogo che offre una garanzia. Il locale è un po’ fané, ma per i triestini questo è solitamente un motivo in più per venirci, anche solo per un’esperienza da tipico buffet triestino, con vari tipi di cicchetti, come polpette (fritte, non in umido) a più gusti, melanzane e zucchine fritte, e magari un buon panino col prosciutto cotto in crosta condito con senape e kren (rafano)! Ma è anche un ristorante, e qui racconto la mia ultima esperienza. Dopo l’immancabile polpetta, mi sono deliziato con una tartare servita su salsa di parmigiano, millefoglie di melanzane e burrata, e paccheri con salsa leggermente piccante al peperone. Finale con immancabile fetta di Sacher fatta in casa. Conto sugli 80 euro con vino.

18/02/2025: Siamo così affezionati al La’ di Moret (camere sobrie, colazione fantastica, quando siamo a Udine vi pernottiamo, ottimo ristorante interno) che l’altra sera abbiamo cenato, per l’appunto, Al Fogolar con la consueta soddisfazione. Ceviche di tonno (ottimo il pane artigianale col goloso burro montato) ed un filetto di cervo con riduzione di salmi da capogiro. Mia moglie ha optato per la quaglia farcita all’anguilla ed un filetto di rombo al beurre blanc, gustosi al palato ed equilibrati (sapori importanti da tenere bene insieme). Sempre apprezzabile la carta breve che propongono, di stagione e del territorio. Carta dei vini con ricarichi ragionevoli. Alla prossima!
