Un piacere pranzare qui…piatti cucinati sapientemente, personale sorridente che ti fa sentire a casa. Prezzi assolutamente in linea con il mercato. Locali del genere sono patrimonio dell’unesco

12/03/2025: Wonderful experience. Today my husband and I together with our dog went to this tavern for lunch. Excellent welcome, delicious food and very nice staff. Typical, warm and familiar place. It will definitely be a fixed stop for us. Anyone who wants to eat typical Friulian cuisine well must absolutely come here. Super!!!

03/04/2025: I stayed here with a colleague of mine and we generally had a good time. The staff was always friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good and well-stocked. The only flaw are the rooms which definitely need maintenance. For example, my room had part of the wall with the plaster raised, I believe due to humidity, and the toilet seat with a broken attachment.

17/03/2025: I had the opportunity to stay several times for work and I really enjoyed it. Cozy rooms, good breakfast and excellent hospitality. I'm almost sorry not to go anymore but if I ever return to Udine, it will definitely be my point of reference

27/03/2025: Fish restaurant off the beaten track, on the left side of the Maggiore hospital and not far from Viale xx Settembre. The service is friendly and offers traditional Trieste seafood dishes. The seafood risotto, the pasta with clams and the mixed frying are definitely recommended, but not only that. Excellent quality/price ratio.

25/03/2025: A chi vuol vivere una bella esperienza culinaria, come quella da noi provata, tocca addentrarsi nella città vecchia dalla Riva del Mandracchio e salire in forte pendenza fino al Colle di S. Giusto. Una passeggiata impegnativa, se fatta a piedi, ma che vale ogni suo sforzo per la qualità dei piatti che vengono proposti con garbo in questa osteria storica, apprezzata anche da James Joyce più di un secolo fa. A testimoniare dell’età di questo locale sono gli arredi, le fotografie e gli articoli di giornale alle pareti, una moltitudine di oggetti ad affollare le mensole, inframezzati da ceppi sui quali sono incise le date importanti per la città di Trieste. Squisito il Flan di asparagi e crema di Montasio, perfettamente accompagnato da miele e da confettura di pere il piatto di formaggi del Carso, realizzata a regola d’arte la Spalletta di maialino in crosta con senape di Digione e cren. Un perfetto finale si è rivelata la Crema Chantilly a farcire una delicatissima millefoglie. Apprezzabile la carta dei vini. Cordialità e professionalità della proprietaria. Buono il rapporto qualità-prezzo. Da consigliare certamente

08/02/2025: Outstanding. Special restaurant, situated in a picturesque small village, tranquil, with lovely views of the valley and the mountains. The food is spectacular, tastefully home-made. We had a lardo, tagliata and pasticcio. Well worth the short drive from the valley. Friendly hosts. Grazie mille!

22/03/2025: Cena tra amici, serata davvero molto molto piacevole! Abbiamo mangiato bene, piatti di casa, tradizionali e davvero gustosi. Servizio cortese e molto ospitale, proprietario simpatico e alla mano. Locale con una cantina molto molto ben fornita, abbiamo bevuto bottiglie importanti e ad un prezzo davvero super! Lo consiglio , io tornerò di sicuro! Grande regis!

09/03/2025: We were positively involved in both the rustic and welcoming environment and the service offered by the owner, his wife "the cook" and the girls in charge of the service. What about the food? Absolutely top-notch typical Friulian cuisine with a lot of choice cooked with skill and in the old way, no frills and silly appetizers, here at Stella they are serious, wines? Excellent!!!
