24/04/2026: Bad experience. Perhaps it's the fame that's obscuring the principle that it's the customer who chooses (and returns, if...). Lunch 1:30 PM. Quote: "There's no room, probably in half an hour. Take a look around and if you don't find anything, come back..." I left and didn't come back. Naturally.

30/05/2026: I had lunch at this location at midday with the menu priced at 20 euros. The food was good, but the fish was frozen.

20/02/2026: Always a guarantee of quality and service. The menu is rooted in Piacenza's traditions, but you can also indulge in dishes that are a little different, yet still offer excellent balance and flavor. The traditional anolini in brodo are the best! Excellent wine list, both local and regional. The dessert is a surprise: Pears with salted caramel and rosemary, almond financiera, and vanilla ice cream.

15/01/2026: The Caffè Grande in Rivergaro is always a guarantee. The menu is very well-curated and the offerings are always top-notch, both traditional and slightly more diverse. The wine list is excellent. The interior is also very well-maintained and perfectly reflects the restaurant's identity. The quality/price ratio is excellent.

07/06/2026: Yesterday we had the most delicious lunch here, I had spinach tortellini with butter and sage, my husband due to allergies had meat and roast potatoes. We both had a beer and a red wine. We had hoped to go again but unfortunately our train time was altered and we have run out of time 😢

The dishes are carefully prepared, using fresh ingredients, and presented with imagination and attention to detail. You can sense the effort involved in offering something different. An added bonus is Gustavo, the owner: always smiling, helpful, and attentive to his customers, he creates a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home. A place where you eat well and always want to return. Highly recommended!

19/12/2025: We visited Castell'Arquato a couple of weeks ago...a very picturesque place, definitely worth a visit. We stumbled upon this gelateria by chance, and...boom...the best gelato I've ever tasted...the truly traditional and unique location certainly sets the mood for a positive experience...but the gelato is truly exceptional for the intensity of the aromas and flavors it conveys to the palate, while also maintaining a good consistency. Excellent

28/04/2026: Very nice setting right in front of the Borgo di Vigoleno. I really enjoyed finding the little cactus pot on the table🌵. The interior is very spacious, the tables are well spaced from each other. We thank all the very kind staff, we ate very well. We tried a typical cold cut called "la Giovanna" which was truly excellent. I believe it is a typical Piacenza cold cut (cooked pancetta) that I have never had before... You can eat both inside and outside the restaurant. For a day out, based on my experience, I highly recommend it with a reservation 😅😜

25/04/2026: Our second stop on the weekend, and the bar has definitely been raised. While the exterior retains the charm of a village trattoria, the interior surprises with its understated elegance and spectacular views of the valley at sunset. The staff is extremely friendly, and the house wine exceeded our expectations. The cuisine won us over with excellent gnocco fritto (fried dumplings) accompanied by quality cured meats, including a superb spalla cotta (cooked shoulder); the pisarei (a type of pasta) were also excellent. The only small complaint was that the tiramisu was perhaps served a little too cold. We say this with kindness, as Venetians, who believe tiramisu must be close to perfection, but it's a small detail that doesn't ruin an absolutely positive experience. Highly recommended for both couples and groups. Thank you!

18/04/2026: A restaurant with a stunning view of the hills and vineyards. Some dishes are excellent, others less so, but the service is friendly and attentive. Good value. They also cater to those with food allergies!

27/04/2026: We were 3 friends... 2 from Savona, we found the staff very kind and knowledgeable... excellent food... fried gnocchi that were so good they flew away with fantastic mixed cold cuts... Piacenza tortelli (sweets) very good... dessert very well presented and tasty... water and wine, grappa and coffee... for a total of 30 euros per person it was worth it... highly recommended... we will be back!

02/05/2026: A truly enchanting place. We arrived with a group of friends at sunset. The Po River had a wonderful color. We really enjoyed it. A truly lovely place, the service was attentive, and the waiters were super helpful and satisfied every wish. Excellent food and drinks. Highly recommended.

01/05/2026: An elegant 4-star inn where you can also stay. I ate at the outdoor restaurant with a spectacular view of the Po River. The cuisine is also excellent, with the chef offering both classic and revisited Piacenza dishes (a true pleasure for the palate). The service is attentive, and the wine list is consistently top-notch.
