20/05/2025: A restaurant with modern architecture, a little out of place compared to the medieval village of Vigoleno it overlooks, but being on the opposite side of the provincial road, it's not a scandal. The restaurant is a large veranda, with large windows overlooking the castle, and therefore offers a pleasant view to customers. The menu is not very extensive and offers dishes from the culinary traditions of Parma and Piacenza. We chose the green and pink tortelli, both excellent and well presented. As a second course we chose the cold cuts platter with torta fritta (fried dumpling) and giardiniera, both excellent. All washed down with Gutturnio and, at the end of the meal, with a small glass of Bargnolino, the typical local liqueur prepared with the berries of the blackthorn. Prices are normal. Friendly staff and quick service complete a beautiful gastronomic experience.

10/06/2025: We tasted the ice cream of this small ice cream shop located on the slope of the beautiful ancient village of Castell'Arquato, really good, you can feel the genuineness of the products used, expertly mixed. Absolutely to try!

08/06/2025: We discovered the gelateria by chance during a quick stopover in Castell'Arquato and were delighted. Very friendly service and some of the best ice cream I've ever had.

11/05/2025: Osteria near Grazzano Visconti in Podenzano in the hamlet of Altoe', welcoming and helpful staff. The appetizers are excellent and should absolutely be taken, in the best Piacenza tradition accompanied by fried pie and an excellent giardiniera which I liked and therefore I highly recommend it. The braised Anolini, sautéed vegetables and artichokes and potatoes are excellent. The flavors are homemade. All accompanied by a fresh and sparkling white wine. A place where you can return very positive experience.

05/05/2025: Il frigo vetrina, posto all'ingresso dell'antico edificio di pietra recentemente ristrutturato, con all'interno grossi pesci appesi a frollare, ci introducono in un mondo fatto di passione, sperimentazione, tecnica e ricerca. L'ambiente è elegante e l'accoglienza cordiale. Il menu è quasi incomprensibile per la quantità di ingredienti insoliti utilizzati per preparare le pietanze. Il crudo di corba rossa è tenero e armonioso ed il risotto alla milanese di mare un poco anonimo. Sorprendente l'animella di vitello alla brace con tamarindo. La carta dei vini è discreta e con ricarichi corretti. Gradita la piccola pasticceria offerta in chiusura. Alla fine della serata resta la sensazione di avere speso bene i 70 euro del conto.

10/04/2025: Sempre una bella conferma! Conoscevamo già questi ragazzi dal Ca' Longa e ci eravamo ripromessi di venire a provare il menù della Ca' di Sass, che rimane rustica ma scenografica. I piatti parlano da sé. Personale di sala molto competente e mai invadente. Piacevolissima serata.

11/06/2025: Beautiful location overlooking the valley, always a light breeze to escape the heat of the city. Unfortunately these two reasons are not enough to go back another time. The giardiniera seemed more like vegetables in oil. The fried gnocco is a reinterpretation of the inn. The tagliata was more like a roast beef and the fillet was full of nerves. Compliments for the potatoes, really good.

17/03/2025: Scorrendo le immagini sul sito web del ricco menù e della rifornita cantina si ha subito la sensazione della cura nel dettaglio pienamente confermata da una visita. Siamo stati a pranzo con una coppia di amici siciliani che hanno apprezzato la qualità e la cura delle portate. Ancora una volta Annamaria ed Angelo hanno contribuito a farci passare qualche ora piacevole in un ristorante raffinato dove la qualità è di casa.

09/06/2025: Provato salume e un primo. Salume di buona qualità così come il pane, peccato per una coppa del tutto all’inizio che risultava giocoforza stopposa, porzione piuttosto scarsa in rapporto al prezzo. Pisarei assolutamente non di preparazione recente sia all’esame visivo che olfattivo, che degustativo, nascosti in un sugo eccessivamente brodoso e con troppi fagioli che, contrariamente ad essere freschi come dichiarato, erano indubbiamente di lattina commerciale. Appena commestibili, peccato cadere così sul piatto più rappresentativo della tradizione piacentina. Locale accogliente e pulito, servizio nella norma, suggerisco di porre attenzione a che cosa viene servito, rapporto qualità-prezzo migliorabile.

08/06/2025: Typical Piacenza restaurant where you can eat traditional dishes. The food is very good and the portions are generous, the idea of ​​using the typical bowls to taste their wines is beautiful. The environment is very well-kept and pleasantly quiet. The only flaw of the evening was related to the "rigidity" I think of the owner who, when asked to have a well-done steak, communicating that the person could not eat only seared meat, responded very explicitly that then the diner could not eat! Now I understand (and fortunately we found a different dish) that tradition must be respected and that you must "accept" what is offered by the restaurant, but I think it is very rude to respond in a harsh and peremptory way to a customer, making him feel uncomfortable. The nice thing is that the rest of the staff was super nice and helpful, making us spend a wonderful evening. I recommend you go there because the food and the location are worth it, try if possible to avoid getting a table on the floor below so as not to have to deal with people who are not in line with the spirit of the place!

08/05/2025: Locale molto carino, sembra di essere ritornati nei palazzi nobili di una volta. Personale simpatico e disponibile. Per quanto riguarda il cibo siamo un pò nella norma di un locale turistico.

03/05/2025: Ottima esperienza! Dopo aver provato il ristorante la prima sera del nostro week end tra i castelli piacentini, abbiamo subito prenotato per il giorno successivo. Grandissima attenzione alla celiachia, con piatti senza glutine tipici e segnalati sul menu. Ottimi vini, conto corretto. E, infine, grande merito al servizio, ragazzi giovani, preparati e davvero cordiali. Molto consigliato!
