06/01/2026: It felt like I was back in the '90s, and I only meant it as a compliment. A pizzeria-trattoria like no other: a simple yet warm and welcoming place, with well-cooked traditional dishes and generous portions. Reasonable prices. My wife, I, and two children ordered: a few cold cuts as an appetizer, a Margherita, a gramigna with sausage, a tagliatelle with meat sauce, a mixed grill, a portion of fries, a Coke, and a bottle of water. Total: €51.50. Special mention also goes to the waiters, all very kind, attentive, and fast. I will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

03/01/2026: What can I say... I used to go there about 15 years ago, in the old place... it was a pleasant "rediscovery": the service, quality and goodness (fish...) have remained the same, well done!

17/01/2026: The children's area has a decidedly informal atmosphere, with outdoor plastic tables. We had their pizza with special dough and a tortellino with Parmesan cream. They served a gin and tonic that they made with the wrong tonic, along with beer and water. The little girl was offered ice cream (thank you!) The place is well-heated, and the service is "informal," but not very attentive. We paid €80.80. When we were leaving, we had to intercept a waiter because no one paid attention to us, even though they were there, and we were wearing jackets! I appreciated the QR code and Satispay payment, but I remember that you still need to get a receipt even if you pay with Satispay. We'll probably return, but I found the bill a bit expensive. The food was very good.

15/01/2026: Large, tidy, clean double room. Friendly, fast staff. Excellent pizzas, well-topped and tasty! Waiting times...a bit long this time...40 minutes. Prices are reasonable for the pizza. But for drinks and water, you have to ask the waiter. There's no menu, so you don't know the price. For the rest, a wide selection of excellent wines on the wine list. Clean bathrooms. Side access to the stairs for disabled guests. Parking on the road surface or on the side of the road.

11/11/2025: A truly excellent meat safe. A family-friendly place. The only flaw is the music being way too loud, forcing diners to shout at each other to be heard, resulting in even more "noise." Really too "noisy."

28/01/2026: We arrived at the restaurant believing we could enter without a reservation, as we'd been told. We waited 15 minutes without anyone coming to take our order. The staff was also rude and unhelpful. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience; I wouldn't recommend it. Update: After leaving this review, the owner's response exceeded all bounds of professionalism and common sense. Instead of addressing the real issue—the wait and poor service—we were met with personal insults, unfounded accusations, and a complete lack of respect for those who leave honest feedback. We never asked for any special treatment: we just wanted normal, polite, and respectful service, as every customer should receive. The response we received clearly demonstrates that the restaurant's management not only ignores criticism, but reacts aggressively and offensively. It's clear that this establishment's priority isn't customer satisfaction or the quality of the experience, but rather the arbitrary and aggressive defense of the owner's image, even at the cost of attacking those who leave truthful reviews. This experience and the response it received speak for themselves: anyone who reads can see the level of professionalism and the attitude toward customers that falls short of minimum expectations of respect and courtesy. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this establishment to those seeking a welcoming, professional, and respectful environment.

16/12/2025: A lunch to remember being a year older. Beautiful, tasty dishes, rich in nuances thanks to clearly top-quality ingredients. Excellent raw ham, even without oil and salt. Veal brains are off-menu, followed by focaccia with mascarpone and crispy Mora Romagnola sausage, and a wonderful Rossini-style fillet. Eat slowly, savoring every bite. A dark chocolate mousse with orange zest makes you soar. And a complimentary three-chocolate dessert for a sweet-toothed customer celebrating her birthday. Service is beyond excellent: extremely kind, welcoming, and smiling staff who can only make you feel at ease. Prices are high, but who cares...thanks! 🙏

03/09/2025: It's my FAVORITE restaurant, my favorite place, where time stands still and the rest of the world stays outside, a refined and sophisticated place. As soon as you walk in the door, you're enchanted by the display case and the assortment of cheeses and cured meats. The restaurant has been selected nationally to organize high-level events. Stefano is wonderful, kind, helpful, highly knowledgeable, the perfect host 🤩 It's a family-run business and you can taste it in the flavor of their dishes.

23/08/2025: The Simposio dei Sensi, a place that won me over. Refined, welcoming, with particular attention to the choice of raw materials. Upon entering, you're enchanted by the two refrigerated counters, one stocked with a carefully selected cheese selection and the other with a unique selection of cured meats. There's no menu; the waiter will tell you about it because it changes so often. WHAT I ATE: I chose the tortelli filled with Stilton, a French blue cheese, served on a bed of pumpkin cream with raspberry drops. A very balanced and delicious dish. Next, a shin of patanegra (a type of ham) on a bed of mashed potatoes—it was simply delicious. The manager, on his own initiative, brought us a small tasting of Roccaverano robiola and Grigentana goat cheese with lavender honey—a true delicacy. For dessert, a crème brulee—perfect. ● WHAT I DRINK: On the owner's recommendation, I drank a 2021 Pletter Lagrein from Cesconi, a wine that paired perfectly with the dishes. Excellent choice. ● VENUE: The place is very welcoming with a very relaxing atmosphere. Not at all noisy. ● STAFF: The service was impeccable, the waiter very attentive and made us feel at ease. ● PRICE: The price of €95 per couple was reasonable considering the quality of the dishes and the service. ● TIP: If you're looking for a place with high-quality traditional cuisine, where the ingredients are carefully selected, Simposio dei Sensi is an excellent choice. Try it! The place is only open on Friday and Saturday evenings, so book in advance.

19/01/2026: I was there on January 17, 2026, for my birthday. I'll start by saying that I'm vegan, and I had no problem eating divinely. I had a Ligurian pasta dish (very generous), beautifully seasoned and incredibly flavorful. The staff was incredibly sweet ❤️ I can't wait for it to reopen, I miss you already. See you soon, Giusy.

09/11/2025: A table for 20 people, a birthday celebration required a lot of patience with us... but between the location, the waiters, and the chefs, I can only say that we ate delicious, carefully prepared food, everything was truly delicious, and the staff was wonderfully welcoming. The atmosphere was familiar, rustic, and yet thoughtful, showcasing the history of the place! Truly exceptional! Thank you, it was a wonderful evening!

11/01/2026: It's a small restaurant where you have to book in advance, otherwise you won't be able to find a table. The food is excellent, with tasty, traditional dishes, generous portions, and very kind and helpful staff. I recommend this place to anyone who loves traditional local cuisine. I always come to visit them every time I come to Modena.
