17/11/2025: Visited for an aperitif with friends. The atmosphere was very noisy and crowded. I remembered it being a buffet, but instead I'd rather have a snack, which wasn't too generous.

13/11/2025: An evening with cocktails and appetizers. Excellent cocktails, generous and very tasty appetizers. The only flaw was the overcooked fries. Recommended for couples and groups of friends. A welcoming and refined place. I will definitely be back.

02/09/2025: A very rustic place, but the fact that it's surrounded by nature makes it unique and fantastic. We had a polenta appetizer with bacon and melted cheese, truly excellent, and a first course each (tortellini with butter and sage, tagliatelle with meat sauce, and tagliatelle with mushrooms). We also had water and coffee. The price was very fair, and the waiter was truly helpful and polite. We had a bad weather day, so there were very few people, which allowed us to get excellent service. I would gladly return, especially to fully experience the landscape.

17/08/2025: The place is nice. Unqualified staff. Unspeakable food. Tray-packaged cured meats, shoddy and poorly preserved. Cold first courses, especially the tagliatelle. Potatoes as hard as rocks. Liquid sorbet, and the joke was that the waitress said it was lemon cream when she had actually sold it to us as sorbet. For the total of €28 per person, I'd say it was a rip-off for the quality. And we also drove 100km... very disappointed!!!!! We'll never go back!!!!

26/07/2025: On our way back from vacation, we stopped in unfamiliar with the place and without a reservation, and they welcomed us kindly. The four of us ate heartily and without spending a fortune; the food was good and the portions generous. We had a great time.

20/06/2025: We went for lunch, but apparently… if you are not a regular customer, you are not taken into consideration. We all order the same dish, so there was not much margin for justified waiting or margin for confusion.. and yet! The dish arrives for one of us, after more than 10 minutes three more dishes arrive, and after another 5 the last dish. We practically ate staggered, furthermore there is no attention to the customer: they do not bring the plate for the fish fragments (spaghetti with clams), nor ask if everything is okay or if they need something… the service is not very welcoming and kind. The place is ventilated by some floor fans, but if you are not nearby, the environment is quite hot. Medium-high prices, especially if it has to leave something to be desired like this.

08/12/2025: When we arrived at our table, the veranda was scorchingly hot, and the smell of plastic from the vertical tarps was unbearable. The waiter was poorly trained and described the dishes differently than they actually were. The quality of the food was poor and run-of-the-mill; the dishes arrived cold on the surface, as if they hadn't been freshly made, and the stuffed pasta was overcooked. It was truly disappointing to find a place like this in a town with so many culinary excellences that treats "local" products this way. The owner is very arrogant and rude to her employees. You don't work in the restaurant business just to make money.

07/12/2025: First time four years ago, amazing experience. A month ago I returned and was a bit disoriented. I'd eaten "normal" food; perhaps it was too crowded. Today I found myself passing through Carpi again and stopped, but this time, instead, I found a place abandoned to itself, seemingly running on inertia. Probably too much work has made them forget that beyond the quality of the food, which is no longer the same, you also need a decent, clean place with smiling, knowledgeable, attentive staff who aren't tired or serious from overwork. And there are plenty of cobwebs to look at on the dusty chandeliers in the strange cellar-like room in the center of the restaurant. Truly disappointed by this experience. Too bad.

25/10/2025: The ham... I wonder if it's normal to have something like that on pizza.

12/06/2025: Ottimo pranzo, ci siamo stati per un pranzo aziendale. Cibo ottimo e località perfetta per chi ama la montagna. Ci tornerei assolutamente anche per conto mio. A solo un’ora da Modena praticamente, lo consiglio molto!

20/08/2025: Dinner with friends. Gnocco, Crescentino, cured meats, lard, jams, sweet and sour onions, bean stew and grilled vegetables, and then sweet coffee and liqueur...all delicious. At the end of the day, considering we also had an aperitif there, we spent 20 euros each...all while the kids played ping pong, table tennis, foosball, basketball, volleyball, and soccer...all without spending a single euro. For years, a favorite spot on our Sestola vacations. P.S.: Aperitif and dinner were served after playing tennis (you can shower there) on the reservable court at a fantastic price...12 euros per hour. The owner and staff were also very courteous and helpful (they let me use the court for 20 minutes longer and even gave me new balls for free). We arrived at 4:00 PM and left at midnight... 1 hour and 20 minutes of tennis, an aperitif, and dinner for four cost us 92 euros... something that would set you back around 140-150 euros for a day like that anywhere else... Highly recommended.

19/08/2025: Practically a dream come true... Tigelle and gnocchi galore, delicious, velvety, and soft as a cloud. Homemade cured meats, potatoes, and vegetables, all delicious. What more can I say? A MUST.

20/07/2025: I'd say it's a historic place, for me. I remember when it opened. We need places like this, where courtesy and familiarity are the foundation.

15/11/2025: The atmosphere was truly unwelcoming, the food was poor (the tortellini were terrible, as were the cured meats and tigelle), and the prices were absolutely out of line. We had two pasta dishes, gnocco and tigelle, two bottles of wine for eight people, and coffee, for €40 each. We'll never go back.
