08/02/2026: A wonderful experience, a refined appetizer with top-quality Italian and Spanish cured meats accompanied by special cheeses, fried gnocco, and piada. There was also a basket of various homemade breads.
We tried two superb first courses. I was hesitant about the use of balsamic vinegar, but I have to say it perfectly complemented the flavors of the mortadella and ricotta-filled slices.
To finish, sangria and homemade desserts were included in the cover charge. We'll definitely be back!

03/03/2026: We had dinner on a Saturday evening in February. The Gorgonzola risotto with balsamic vinegar was superb, and the appetizers included fried gnocco accompanied by delicious cured meats. The artichokes served with a delicious sauce were excellent. A bottle of Ribolla was also included. The price was in line with the quality of the food and dishes served. Recommended for lovers of good food.
15/02/2026: Dinner with friends on Saturday evening. The restaurant serves quality ingredients and offers quick, friendly service. We'll definitely be back.

25/02/2026: A restaurant with a beautiful view of the Piacenza hills, well worth the drive up the hill. The decor is classic and welcoming, reflecting the local atmosphere. We dined with colleagues, and the waiters and owner were very friendly. The traditional cuisine was excellent. The homemade pasta was delicious and truly artisanal. The focus was on seasonality and local products. That evening, since mushroom season was in full swing, we were treated to a fresh porcini mushroom salad and fried porcini mushrooms...spectacular.
Overall, an excellent restaurant for those who want to experience local flavors and Piacenza traditions.

19/12/2025: We visited Castell'Arquato a couple of weeks ago...a very picturesque place, definitely worth a visit.
We stumbled upon this gelateria by chance, and...boom...the best gelato I've ever tasted...the truly traditional and unique location certainly sets the mood for a positive experience...but the gelato is truly exceptional for the intensity of the aromas and flavors it conveys to the palate, while also maintaining a good consistency.

31/12/2025: I went there for dinner in the evening. The food wasn't bad, but the portions were small for the price (I had grilled red mullet with a side dish, paying more than €20 for each dish, but the red mullet was tiny and there were practically no sides).
Furthermore, the place wasn't adequately heated, and I felt cold.

21/02/2026: I went to this restaurant for Valentine's Day and I have to say we couldn't have made a better choice. They offered a six-course menu, with a special mention for accommodating one of the guests at the table by allowing a small variation on one of the two entrees. Attached are photos of all the evening's courses with their respective menus. Thank you for taking us on this journey of flavors. It was a wonderful experience and we'll definitely be back.
I highly recommend visiting Prater, especially during their themed evenings, which showcase seasonal products and are held throughout the year.

02/02/2026: I've been there often, both for lunch and dinner, and I have to say I generally enjoy coming here! There are, however, a few small issues that I find annoying, but nothing I can't resolve or overlook. Let me start by saying that the place is rustic and beautiful, nestled in the countryside with ample parking and divided into a ground floor (literally the brick and wood stable with seating) and an upper floor (with windows and more space). Regarding this, I have nothing to say about the decor, except for the fact that if you're on the ground floor, as quaint as it is, you have to be prepared for a fair amount of echo from the voices of all the customers eating. I always struggle to talk to others and feel deafened by the noise it creates, even when people aren't actually speaking out loud; it's really the fault of the layout of the room! Luckily, this problem doesn't exist upstairs. As for the service, I'll first say that the waiters are kind and super helpful! Sometimes, however, the service can be a little slow in bringing everyone's dishes... The food is good and homemade, and they offer all kinds of options... Pizzas, appetizers, first courses, and second courses of meat and seafood... The prices are reasonable! I recommend the pizzas and first courses! The meat dishes aren't bad, but in my opinion, they tend to always overcook the dishes. So if you like your meat medium-rare, ask for rare.
In short, overall, I rate the place positively. They just need to improve the speed of service and the attention to detail on some dishes. If you don't like the loud noise, ask for the upstairs. 😘😂

We visited this restaurant last night and were immediately struck by its extraordinary impact: the location is stunning and offers a breathtaking view that, alone, is worth the visit. We were a group of friends (two couples and a friend), and the welcome was impeccable: the staff and the atmosphere immediately proved extremely friendly, making us feel at ease.
The cuisine: local and passionate
We began by sharing a variety of appetizers. An honorable mention goes to the giardiniera: despite its simplicity, it exudes all the flavor of local produce and a passion for the region. It was a promising start and did not disappoint.
For the main courses, we split:
The grill: The rest of the group shared two Florentine steaks, masterfully cooked and tender as butter.
My choice: I preferred to focus on seasonal flavors, enjoying a superb seasonal first course followed by a masterfully cooked wild boar. Despite the generous portions, the quality was such that I finished everything with extreme satisfaction.
Drink and finish on a high note
We paired our dinner with their own wine, a deliberate choice that proved to be a perfect fit and consistent with the restaurant's philosophy. To finish on a sweet note, the panna cotta was the icing on the cake: delicious and with the perfect consistency.
The verdict:
An excellent experience not only for the food and the view, but also for the quality-price ratio, truly competitive given the high-quality ingredients.
24/02/2026: The view is stunning and breathtaking, especially at sunset. There are three adorable kittens. The service is friendly and polite, and the owner is helpful and friendly. The food is good; although the menu is limited, it's very well-curated and well-prepared. I had a great time, and the air is also very cool. Perhaps the only downside is that it's not exactly easy to get to, but I think this is a minor inconvenience for enjoying a lovely dinner at this restaurant!

28/01/2026: Small refreshment place with the possibility of stopping outside or sitting in a small room. Run by two young brothers who cook simple food but with good proposals. Parking on the street side.
04/01/2026: We stumbled upon this kiosk by chance and decided to stop for a piada. It's a family-run place, and the people are incredibly kind! In the winter, they have a small dining room where you can sit and eat in peace. We tried the classic piadina and the crescione with potatoes and pumpkin, which were so good we returned the next day; the owner recommended the fried piadina, which was also amazing! Congratulations! 😉
