04/01/2026: This delightful restaurant and pizzeria is located near the entrance to the Velia excavations. The atmosphere is very refined, clean, and spacious. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Serenella (the owner) She welcomes guests with great warmth and friendliness, and is also a top-notch sommelier. In fact, she always manages to amaze by recommending the perfect wine to complement each dish. We enjoyed both the pizza, which has a very personalized style that evokes both the Neapolitan flavour and the pleasant crispness of Cilento. And the cuisine. Full of freshness for the fish and plenty of flavor for the meat. In short, The expertise of the mother in the kitchen and the father Angelo at the pizzeria ensures every dish is guaranteed. 20/02/2026: Excellent pizzeria located near Altavilla Silentina. It offers a wide selection of pizzas and appetizers. It also has excellent craft beers and a good selection of wines. You can dine inside or outside. The service staff is very friendly and courteous. The owner is very welcoming. I recommend trying it.

28/01/2026: I'm giving one star because unfortunately I can't give any less! The owner is rude and ill-mannered. There were five of us that evening (and we weren't spending a little money... quite the opposite) when my son's water suddenly ran out, and since no waiter was coming, my son, an autistic boy, got up and politely asked if he could bring us water at the table. The "owner" not only refused, but also had the nerve to tell my son that if he wanted water, he could go and drink it at the fountain... obviously, my son was so upset that he returned to the table in tears. When we got to the cashier to pay the bill, we told his wife everything. She was mortified by her husband's rude behavior and told us to get a free bottle of water. Obviously, we didn't take it, but one thing is certain: neither we nor our friends or family will EVER set foot in this place again. Shame!

17/01/2026: Each time, the same wonderful confirmation: exquisite dishes, expertly prepared, with authentic and well-balanced flavors that manage to be intense without ever being heavy. The cuisine is respected, enhanced, and served with the care that makes the difference between "eating well" and "mementoful eating." Even takeout—which is far from a given—maintains the quality, flavor, and abundance worthy of table service. Da Carlo is the classic place where you go with peace of mind, knowing you'll make a great impression on your guests and that you'll leave happy (and definitely full) first. A serious, reliable restaurant, but with that genuine warmth that makes you feel at home. Highly recommended for special occasions... and for when you simply want to eat truly well.

19/10/2025: We went to Ristorante Romano da Carlo for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. Excellent products and impeccable service. Plus, it's excellent value for money. I recommend you go and try it. Well done!!!

08/03/2026: I had a grilled fish (a plaice?). There were still a lot of bones in the fish. And the price was far too high: 30 euros. That's without the side dishes that are usually charged extra in Italy. The dining room, under a kind of covered terrace, was clean but simple, so the ambiance doesn't justify the high price.

27/03/2026: We booked this hotel for 2 nights and had a very disappointing experience. Upon arrival, the road from the Salerno direction was completely closed due to a landslide and roadworks. We reached approximately 500 meters from the hotel, but it was impossible to proceed further – even on foot. Police and firefighters confirmed that access from that direction was not possible. The hotel did not inform us in advance about this, even though it is critical information considering the location and limited access to the property. As a result, we were unable to reach the hotel or check in, and we did not use the accommodation at all. Despite this, the hotel still charged us for the first night. When we contacted the hotel, their response was that the property was “operational” and that we could have walked or taken an alternative route requiring around 2 hours of driving, which was not realistic or feasible in our situation, especially without prior notice. We believe this kind of treatment towards guests is unacceptable. If access to the property is not possible or significantly restricted, guests must be informed in advance. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this place based on our experience.

06/04/2026: First time and disastrous experience, 2 hours wait after ordering, food not worth the price.... I want to think it was an unlucky day for the staff... being in the profession I can understand, but I just can't tolerate the total lack of explanations and customer care from the owners... I'll return to see if it was just a bad day.
