31/01/2026: Too expensive for what it offers. A plate of candles with Genovese sauce for €18 is way too much. It's supposed to be a trattoria, but its prices are those of a luxury restaurant. There's little attention paid to celiacs. Even if they apologize, they can't be excused. It takes a little goodwill and professionalism to please customers, even those with food intolerances, which aren't dictated by lifestyle choices, but by health issues! It doesn't take much to please a celiac without apologizing for not even having dessert or an appetizer. Finally, raising prices and not improving the service or the food... it certainly doesn't entice customers. It's a shame because they could do so much better. I don't think I'll return... it's not worth it!

22/12/2025: Never again. Supermarket cheeses considered elite, and even poorly served. Two micro burgers with two sides of very gourmet baked potatoes. The eggplant mushrooms and chicory in a micro bowl are also gourmet. A bottle of wine for three people is of poor quality. Three micro cannoli for dessert, and they say they offered it for €35 per person. I will never go again. For €35, I can eat much better, both in quantity and quality, elsewhere, even in much better locations.

10/05/2026: Good, but unfortunately there's not much choice. I didn't love the croquettes, but the calzone and pizza were good.

18/04/2026: Good products, but there is a difference compared to the past

10/12/2025: Our stay was a complete disappointment and a terrible experience. The establishment bears no resemblance whatsoever to the description provided on the booking website. * The advertised swimming pool does not exist. * The room, described as having a sea view, actually overlooks the main terrace with constant foot traffic and no privacy. It was impossible to open the window. * The solarium and jacuzzi are extra, and there is no private beach as mentioned in the listing. * The restaurant was booked for a birthday party with extremely loud music and an MC shouting into a microphone until 1 a.m. * The following morning, the staff started cleaning noisily at 8 a.m., making it impossible to sleep. * When we complained, the manager acted in bad faith, even going so far as to claim that the establishment was not a hotel, but only a restaurant. This is unacceptable, especially when you are renting rooms. We had to cut our stay short and cancel the following nights, but despite the problems we encountered, no refund was possible for the night we spent there. In short, the promises made in the advertisement are far from reality. We absolutely do not recommend this establishment!

01/06/2026: We came here for lunch. The fish dishes are very tasty, and the waitresses are friendly. Absolutely top-notch!

02/05/2026: The restaurant is modern and very beautiful. The outdoor tables offer a stunning view of the sunset. Ideally, it would make for a lovely evening. Unfortunately, the waiter is rushed. He practically pressures you to look at the menu and order immediately, completely ignoring the fact that you're admiring the sunset. Paying is also unpleasant. He runs to the till—the only place to pay—and then seems surprised when you don't chase after him. The fish of the day is okay, but nothing special, and I find it too expensive and too small for what it is. The food lacks a certain finesse, in my opinion.

02/05/2026: Avoid them carefully. They have the same grace with customers as an elephant in a hall of precious crystal. I have reported their proven incompetence to the competent authorities.

05/04/2026: Nice place, good coffee and excellent aperitif.

08/03/2026: I had a grilled fish (a plaice?). There were still a lot of bones in the fish. And the price was far too high: 30 euros. That's without the side dishes that are usually charged extra in Italy. The dining room, under a kind of covered terrace, was clean but simple, so the ambiance doesn't justify the high price.

16/05/2026: Today, for the first and last time here... We arrived around 12 for an aperitivo with friends, and of course the place was super crowded. They sat us inside, where the age of the place is clearly evident. Despite having a 4-year-old child and a pregnant woman, we had to get the menu ourselves... A very ordinary toastie, not even at a service station (€8), a small milk sandwich for the child with cooked ham (€6), a cooked omelette (€13), lemon tea (€7)... and a very ordinary spritz for only €15!!! I think you've completely lost your mind!! Never again!

13/02/2026: Very friendly staff, light yet filling pizza, perfect location, and excellent value. We ate in a wooden barrel, two of us. We ordered fries in the middle, two pizzas, a Coke, and water for €35. Very cheap for such unique pizzas.

22/09/2025: The food was amazing, authentic Italian flavors, and the service was excellent. I had the best sea bream I've ever eaten, and the gnocchi was incredibly fresh.

12/04/2026: I came here on purpose because I was sure I could try the scazzetta, a typical dessert from Salerno, I took the mini version, which the owner then claims is how this dessert is normally made, and then they also extended the recipe to a larger version, so I went away and ate it and I must say that it was special for its color but also very very good.

21/05/2026: A must! If you're passing through Eboli, you absolutely must stop here. Their tuna genovese is simply out of this world, one of the best I've ever had: flavorful, creamy, and with meat that fell apart in your mouth. Friendly service and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended!

20/05/2026: We went to this restaurant for lunch on a Wednesday and, to our surprise, it was very crowded! Even though it was midweek, the restaurant filled up quickly, a sign that quality always attracts people. We had seafood, and it was all incredibly fresh and beautifully cooked. The place is very cute and welcoming; it may not be a fancy restaurant in the formal sense of the word, but it absolutely does its job. For us, the essence is what matters: eating well, using quality products, and paying a fair price. The staff handles everything perfectly despite the crowd. We'll definitely be back, highly recommended!

17/01/2026: Each time, the same wonderful confirmation: exquisite dishes, expertly prepared, with authentic and well-balanced flavors that manage to be intense without ever being heavy. The cuisine is respected, enhanced, and served with the care that makes the difference between "eating well" and "mementoful eating." Even takeout—which is far from a given—maintains the quality, flavor, and abundance worthy of table service. Da Carlo is the classic place where you go with peace of mind, knowing you'll make a great impression on your guests and that you'll leave happy (and definitely full) first. A serious, reliable restaurant, but with that genuine warmth that makes you feel at home. Highly recommended for special occasions... and for when you simply want to eat truly well.

19/10/2025: We went to Ristorante Romano da Carlo for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. Excellent products and impeccable service. Plus, it's excellent value for money. I recommend you go and try it. Well done!!!
