10/04/2026: Go easy with your food order - huge portions! And everything was excellent! With some few basic changes (such as switching to warm light) this could be an excellent local eatery.
10/03/2026: I'm writing a review for this place again, and I'm very happy to do so, because I can only reiterate everything positive I've written previously, both about the pizzeria and the restaurant.
Fantastic people, always ready to accommodate their customers' needs.

30/03/2026: Fabulous! The food is simply outstanding – fresh, authentic, and incredibly delicious. Add to that a wonderfully welcoming, family-like atmosphere where you immediately feel at home. It's also nice that German is spoken. We'll definitely be back!

17/01/2026: I must say that for me, and for the guests who accompanied me on this journey, today was truly a wonderful experience!!! I was completely satisfied and, above all, amazed by the mastery with which Chef Francesco manages to enhance and make the simple flavors and products of our land special. I believe this is a place that deserves the attention of us, ordinary customers (even if increasingly demanding) and those charged with evaluating the excellence of the restaurant industry, giving credit where credit is due!!!
My experience here was truly amazing... in no way inferior to many Michelin-starred restaurants... in fact, I wonder why there's still no star here???!!!!

14/04/2026: Every time we return to Cilento, this restaurant is our go-to. Here, you can experience the authentic flavor of traditional cuisine, with simple dishes prepared with high-quality ingredients. The food is authentic and flavorful, just like the food of the past, reminiscent of grandmothers' homemade dishes. Even the kids love it; my son, in fact, can't resist the inevitable "scarpetta" (to mop up the bread).
03/04/2026: The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, and offered great hospitality. The cuisine was based on traditional, authentic flavors. They recommended several dishes, even telling us the history of each dish. Everything in the kitchen was delicious, and the pizza we tried as an appetizer was also excellent. A truly positive experience, highly recommended. We'll definitely be back.

Dining at Al Convento is a magical experience. The interior dining room, created from the ancient cloister, offers an authentic, fresh, and intimate atmosphere. The anchovies are superb in every sauce, a true celebration of the local area. Honorable mention goes to the squid ragù: flavorful, expertly cooked, truly exceptional. The bill was absolutely fair and consistent with the exceptional quality of the ingredients. An absolute must-try in Cetara.

Perfect, forget about them, the food here is good, in fact, excellent, and that's enough. The service is courteous, attentive, and never intrusive, the food is excellent, and the prices are fair. Kudos to everyone.

01/11/2025: A great beach restaurant with a magnificent view and very reasonable prices for a beachfront location. The place is clean and the staff are friendly. We were there in mid-September and it was quiet.
It's a shame that many Italians smoke at their tables.

15/03/2026: This establishment is quiet and exceptionally well run. Everyone greets you like a friend, and serves you with every intent to make your time there memorable.
We had octopus on a potato crème sauce, Vongole that had a fabulous flavor, escarole with raisins and olives that was luscious, and the best tasting verdure grigliata we have ever experienced.
Also, talk to your waiter about the local wines as they are very good.
All in all, we believe restaurant Masaniello is under rated and should be a must try.

He, the chef, offers traditional local cuisine, rich in flavor and color, but always with a creative, personal touch.
She manages the dining room punctually, ensuring impeccable service, sometimes recommending a good wine to pair with the dishes!
The atmosphere is familiar and welcoming...the quality/price ratio is excellent...it's no coincidence that I returned for the third time, this time for a family lunch!

14/04/2026: I don't understand the concept of seafood being so costly on the coast. Basic economics say that higher supply should lower the cost. €26 for a grilled fish is insane, considering it doesn't come with a salad or potatoes. The fish in the lemon sauce was delicious but not worth the price.
I was also charged more than what I ordered and judging from the previous reviews, not the first time it has happened.
Opening times are wrong, this place doesn't stay open until midnight.
Underwhelming experience!

22/02/2026: The first course was quite good and plentiful, the second course of fish was inedible. The fish soup contained 3 whole gurnards and lots of tomato with some clams. Some of the fish was raw and others were overcooked, terrible and bitter. Not only did they not change the dish, but they said it was my mouth that gave it a terrible taste, and besides, it's very expensive. For what you get and what you eat, it's terrible, terrible, terrible.
30/01/2026: The slow food here is truly slow, in the sense that even though the restaurant isn't very large, we waited 40 minutes just for some bread and a plate of macaroni with sauce, which isn't exactly ideal with a child. I would definitely return because the food is good, the atmosphere is well-kept and clean; if you can appreciate the details, you'll be amazed. In short, you're stepping into the owners' home, who, albeit in a "slow" way, will welcome and pamper you with this restaurant's fine cuisine. A fair menu at fair prices. P.S. Be careful, pizza is only available for dinner.
