However, the trofie al pesto (THE Ligurian dish) was truly tasteless. Unfortunately, we couldn't add any more seasoning, as the waiter had already cleared away the salt and pepper before we received our food.

No non-alcoholic beer, very poor chairs for tall people; you'll want to get out of here as quickly as possible and head to the physiotherapist. Oh, my back hurts, which is a shame because the food is delicious.

27/10/2025: The restaurant is located in the busy Piazza del Sedile, and we stopped for dinner by chance. The somewhat retro style of the place might please some vintage fans. There were two of us and we ordered a pizza and a second course: the pizza arrived with only some of the requested ingredients, while the second course, listed on the menu as "roasted suckling pig with roast sugo" (roasted pork with roast sugo), consisted of two thin slices of pork with an unidentifiable sauce drizzled with balsamic vinegar (it all seemed to have been reheated in the microwave). After asking about the missing ingredients on the pizza, they were brought to us on a separate plate just after the meal was over. Furthermore, despite there being two of us dining, the dishes were brought to us 15 minutes apart, as they had to be eaten "separately" to prevent them from getting cold. Unfortunately, we don't recommend it.

The extra virgin olive oil itself, as the owner explains, comes from a small artisan producer who produces just a thousand bottles a year: a detail that speaks volumes about the restaurant's philosophy. The daily menu stands out for its variety, balance, and generous portions, featuring carefully crafted dishes with authentic flavors. The roast coppa is particularly noteworthy: tender, flavorful, and prepared according to tradition. Desserts are a chapter in themselves: the soft meringue with melted chocolate is an irresistible sensory experience, capable of concluding the meal on a note of pure indulgence. The food quality is average; I didn't eat badly, but eating well is another matter entirely. Prices are in line with the market, but service is poor. The waitress is poorly mannered, and despite not remembering the menu, she still allows herself to address the customer in a stern, anxious, and obviously unsuitable manner. The idea of ​​keeping red wine in the fridge and having to justify it is a terrible one... The host/owner, who, noticing his wine was in trouble, tried to remedy the situation, was excellent.
