Trattoria Gostilna Lokanda Devetak

19/01/2026: An unprecedented culinary experience...this was my first time at Lokanda Devetak. I had lunch there with my family and we were all satisfied. The place is warm and welcoming; as soon as you enter, you're enveloped in a homely, family-like atmosphere, reminiscent of times gone by. You can immediately sense from the delicate and inviting aromas wafting from the kitchen that excellent dishes await you. In fact, each menu item is better than the last, each one more inviting. What stands out most, and what we truly appreciate, is the attention to using local products and the original, elaborate, and meticulously prepared recipes. The wine selection is extensive and excellent, and we enjoyed the clear and passionate advice provided by the managers and waiters.
Everything we ate, from appetizer to dessert, was excellent: warm, authentic, and balanced in flavor and texture... cotechino meatballs, liver, a platter of cured meats, palacinke flan with pumpkin cream, fussili with sausage and cave cheese, ossobuco, rabbit, traditional desserts, coffee...
A round of applause and thanks to everyone for this culinary experience in a place I highly recommend.
PS: Also noteworthy is the fact that many Slow Food Presidia are used, and you can purchase their typical products and even the wine bottled especially for the restaurant.
12/01/2026: A welcoming and elegant venue.
From the moment we were welcomed, it was clear what we were in for...
We chose two appetizers (a plate of cured meats and a cream of mushroom soup) accompanied by two glasses of white wines (Vitovska and Malvasia).
We moved on to the main courses (beef tripe and sautéed rabbit) accompanied by two glasses of red wines (Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso and a Cabernet Franc).
The dinner concluded with dessert: "Kraško pecivo" (a typical Karst cake with raisins and walnuts and cinnamon ice cream).
Everything we tasted was a delight.
The welcome was superb...it was our first time, but we were welcomed as if we were regular customers.
The prices were in line with the EXCELLENT quality offered.
We will return to try other delicacies.
Congratulations to whoever created this wonderful place.
A well-deserved Michelin Green Star!!!

10/01/2026: A small trattoria in the center of Gorizia. A very refined, rustic, and homely atmosphere. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Traditional food, tasty and well-prepared with excellent ingredients. A must-see if you're in the city, but also worth a detour if you're in the surrounding area. I'll definitely be back!
07/01/2026: A private and welcoming atmosphere, with friendly and professional staff and excellent cuisine. It's definitely worth stopping by to discover some traditional recipes, perhaps featuring the splendid and delicious "rosa di gorizia," a local variety of radicchio.

The host was very pleasant and expertly recommended what we could eat, pairing it with top-quality wines.
The food was extraordinary.
The restaurant is delicious and has only a few tables, so it's advisable to book in advance to avoid an empty stomach.
Excellent in every way.

The selection of fresh and tasty dishes includes well-balanced seafood. The dishes are beautifully presented, too.

27/12/2025: We stopped by chance while looking for a possible lunch stop on the way to Trieste. We had a wonderful time. All the dishes were excellent, from fish to meat, and a good value. The lady serving us was incredibly kind, rushing around the place the whole time but never losing her smile. For those coming from Milan, I'd say it's priceless.

29/09/2025: A place that warms your heart ❤️. As soon as you arrive, you can already feel the warmth of the place, with attention to every detail. The love the owners put into this magical place, nestled in the nature reserve, is magnificent! The welcome with a smile, the very polite waiters who pamper you. The clean and well-kept environment. We spent our anniversary exceptionally well and were amazed! From the quality of the food to the presentation, you can taste all the love the chef put into each dish. It's been a long time since I found such a special place, where all you have to do is let yourself be pampered. Congratulations! You can see what I mean from the photos.
17/09/2025: We've had dinner there several times and hosted the wedding reception. What can I say? Everything was always perfect: excellent quality food, beautiful location, friendly, helpful, and professional staff.

04/10/2025: I usually never leave reviews unless I try a place at least a second time, but this time I'm making an exception.
The restaurant deserves five stars for the quality of the food, the owners' passion for their craft, the charming location, and, last but not least, the Palestinian flag at the entrance.
I ate a delicious boreto on a cold October evening; I hope to return soon to try other dishes.
