12/02/2025: Buffet tradizionale esistente dal 1996. Via Belpoggio è una strada in salita in fondo alle "rive" cittadine e il locale è un po' defilato, con parcheggio quasi impossibile; hanno anche un dehors, ma attaccato alle auto che transitano, per cui è decisamente meglio mangiare all'interno. Sorta di piccola osteria informale, tipica anche negli arredi. La triestinità è totale, l'affollamento è costituito da residenti (pochissime donne!) che parlano in dialetto, l'atmosfera genuina è garantita, ambiente caldo e simpatico. La vetrina dei cibi è ordinata, ricca, colorata e invitante. Si possono assaggiare specialità triestine quali il prosciutto cotto arrosto e la caldaia mista (bollito di musetto, porcina, cragno, vienna). Le tartine (2 € l'una) sono varie, carine e buone, preparate con cura (pane migliorabile) e contengono ad es. salumi, carne alla tartara, gorgonzola; lo spiedino (3 €) con tre polpettine di melanzane-formaggio non è granché; consiglio invece la golosa e saporita polpetta di carne (€ 2), ma non se odiate l'aglio! Vi sono anche paninetti a 2,50 € l'uno con salumi e frittata. I prezzi sono abbastanza giusti, ma è facile farsi prendere la mano (e la gola!) e spendere un po' più del dovuto. I vini sono quelli del territorio triestino (Carso), ma si trovano anche etichette friulane di pregio, come La Tunella. La ragazza che mi ha servito è stata accurata e gentile.

26/01/2025: I would give six stars for the quality of the food and the service, but unfortunately there is this overweight and naturally heavy man, perhaps the owner, who never leaves there. He always talks loudly and about frivolous, uninteresting, unfunny things... I don't know who is really interested in listening to him, but I doubt the whole place. It's a shame because it ruins the atmosphere which, thanks to the two behind the counter, is always wonderful. If you can not let this character get on your nerves, it's a place worth visiting with a top food and drink offering!

30/11/2024: Ci sono stato in una serata con DJ anni'80. Un bellissimo posto, con posti a sedere all'interno, tv dove vedere la partita, sala DJ e ampio plateatico all'aperto fisso e coperto. Un bellissimo locale situato in una frazione di Caneva, fuori dalle strade principali trafficate. Servizo eccellente e prezzi economici.

09/02/2025: Maybe it was Saturday and perhaps the day had been long, but I found everything a bit "cold". The windows are a little bare and the staff "distracted". The bathroom not so good. Come on, it'll be better next time.

17/02/2025: Were here in summer 2024. Maybe it depends on the waiter in charge. At the end of the meal, an envelope containing the bill is placed on the table. We put the money (+ tip) in the envelope and left, like we did 10 times before. This time an employee ran after us and claimed that there wasn't enough in it. Since there were four of us and everyone counted the money again, it was unlikely. Ok if you spoil someone's desire for the admittedly fantastic food and don't want them to come back. Hope the few euros were worth it

16/02/2025: Locale estremamente turistico, che mi è parso più orientato e attento a soddisfare le esigenze dei vacanzieri (soprattutto stranieri) che poi sono anche quelle che fanno incassi ‘facili’ piuttosto che affermare una ristorazione tipica nazionale e ‘personale’. Il che si traduce a mio avviso in piatti discreti, ben presentati, corretti se non abbondanti (i primi) nelle porzioni, ma che non hanno niente né di casalingo né di raffinato e innovativo. Una buona cucina standardizzata, con ingredienti di qualità ma presumibilmente non di mercato, proposta ad un prezzo corretto. Così si riesce sicuramente a soddisfare con successo una certa tipologia di turismo, sicuramente non quella che in una località di mare è alla ricerca di un po’ di schietta tipicità. La mia esperienza passa attraverso degli abbondanti spaghetti alle vongole (troppi, a mio avviso ma forse devono ‘sostenere’ il prezzo di 13,50 euro) e una frittura di calamari (15 euro, pesante e priva del sapore della freschezza di mare). Con un quarto di vino bianco della Casa (3,50 euro) e il coperto (2,50 euro) spendo 34,50 euro. Tempi di servizio biblici probabilmente per un incidente di percorso: la mia comanda si era ‘persa’ per strada. Ambiente curato, così come l’apparecchiatura.

21/03/2025: Cozy, cozy, warm place, with a few well-spaced seats (great added value for me), excellent food. We ate the fixed menu (wine, sparkling water, starter, first course, second course, dessert and digestive). All delicious, homemade (fresh pasta included), and with generous portions. If I have to find a single flaw, they could improve the extraction of the hood given that we left the room with decidedly "scented" clothes. But it's a flaw that they have many trattorias with an open kitchen communicating with the dining room. Except for that, we had a wonderful evening and will definitely return. One of the few "real" places left in the center of Trieste after the mass arrival of tourists. Price absolutely correct and in line with the quality of the food.

04/11/2024: Winery located in Muggia, exquisite place and even more owners. Inside there are very few seats, it's like feeling at home. Traditional cuisine from "grandmother's recipes" are truly delicious. We took a platter of delicious cheeses, dumplings with fondue and chestnuts and a boiler plate, the photo of which is missing because it lasted too short. Wide choice of wines. A truly rare combination of kindness and sympathy Highly recommended!

01/11/2024: Mi è piaciuto moltissimo e sono stato davvero bene. Abbiamo ordinato un piatto di salumii e formaggi misti, la qualità della materia prima è stata ottima e anche il servizio è stato molto cordiale . Il posto e piccolo, ha pochissimi tavoli ma è molto bello, caratteristico e informale. Ci tornerò di sicuro! Bravi!

16/02/2025: This was a well ahead planned dinner with my family. We made a reservation 10 days in advance. When we arrived at the restaurant we were surprised that our reservation was missing and we did not get a table. We had to leave with two hungry children and to search for alternatives ... :(

16/02/2025: My daughter and grandchildren invited me to Sunday dinner. We had already planned the meeting for a long time. Unfortunately our reservation was forgotten and we had to quickly find something else with the hungry grandchildren. A sad Sunday for us.
