24/08/2025: We stopped for an aperitivo. We thought we'd give a chance to historic establishments in Udine, rather than the usual overcrowded, trendy ones. We sat down and ordered a Malvasia and a Spritz Hugo. They arrived in two tavern-style glasses, accompanied by chips as old as the place. We finished both glasses in one go. Knowing the Malvasia producer, she must have been treated badly. Not to mention the Hugo. The same amount as the white wine and without ice, with still wine on tap. Total: 9 euros. Needless to say, for us, the experience ended there.

14/09/2025: Good ice cream. I like the idea that I can put as much ice cream as I want and put whatever I want on top. You pay by weight.

18/10/2025: Bad experience. Poor online order handling (order arrived over an hour late), rudeness from the person who answered the phone when I contacted them to find out where my order was (she practically hung up on me). Prices are way too high, the worst vegan sushi I've ever had; the rest of the food wasn't bad, but it was good and definitely not. Poor and repetitive vegan option.

07/08/2025: Wonderful place, food served quickly and freshly made. The courtesy is undeniable. We had dinner today, but I come here often because I work downtown, and I've never had any complaints. In fact, they also have Greek beers and desserts that are truly out of this world. Highly recommended.

28/07/2025: On Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 9:00 PM, my family and I chose this place for a dinner unlike any other. After consulting the menu, we showed up at the counter and were told the kitchen was closed! We were disappointed and had no choice but to go to the wiener house across the street. I must say, two very kind ladies greeted us. Once seated, we checked the Kalos Tiare website and saw that closing time is 10:00 PM. We checked the reviews and realized it's customary to not accommodate customers during opening hours by saying it's too late to eat. We wonder... Is it possible that a manager doesn't intervene with the staff who close early, causing a loss of revenue and giving the place a bad reputation?

27/09/2025: The Apulian and the Triestina only saw the 5-star rating online. It seems that many of the positive reviews aren't genuine, but rather written by people close to the management. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't positive and doesn't at all match the image they want to project. Transparency should come first.

14/09/2025: Pizza with good dough but too much tomato sauce, which kept the top crust raw during cooking. Poor service: they brought us water, and I had to ask for glasses later... the pizza chef sneezed on the pizzas. At least the water was good.

04/09/2025: One of the dirtiest places I've ever seen. There's everything on the floor inside, and the owner sits there with his phone in his hand, scrolling. In the bathroom, the sink gives you a sense of overall cleanliness. The white porcelain has a yellow mark, indicating that it hasn't seen any detergent since it was installed. See photo. The lady who prepares the poke is also very kind and nice, but that doesn't excuse the lack of cleanliness. When you go into the bathroom, you can see a small storage room...terrifying. STAY AWAY.

15/08/2025: The young man who prepares and serves food is very helpful and kind, the ingredients are excellent, and the atmosphere is well-kept, with several tables where you can enjoy a cool lunch break during the hot summer hours.

25/11/2025: I recommend it. Really tasty pizza by the slice, enough to fill you up. The place is conveniently located.

09/11/2025: The worst pizza I've ever eaten in my life. My family and I stopped here for a quick bite. The pizza was inedible, with terrible dough and cheap, unpleasant-tasting ingredients. On top of that, the staff was rude and unfriendly, and the place had a bathroom, but it was broken. Highly discouraged. Never again! Run away from this place! I'm sad because they could do better, but maybe they just don't want to improve.

17/06/2025: Era da un po’ che volevo provare questo posticino, anche perché avevo sentito pareri contrastanti sulla cucina proposta; quindi, ero curiosa di farmi un’opinione personale. Il menù è piuttosto essenziale, ma con alcune proposte interessanti e originali. Abbiamo ordinato dei taglieri di salumi e formaggi da condividere, davvero di ottima qualità. Io ho scelto anche dei macaron salati con diverse guarnizioni: l’idea è curiosa, ma il biscotto era poco friabile e non semplicissimo da mangiare. Consiglierei di ridurre leggermente la dimensione per renderli più pratici. Come primo piatto ho preso un orzotto con zucchine, caprino e olio alla menta. La presentazione era molto curata, ma il gusto piuttosto piatto: non si percepiva bene né il sapore del caprino né l’aroma dell’olio alla menta. Nel complesso la cucina non mi ha convinta del tutto, ma consiglio comunque il posto per un aperitivo al tramonto, anche solo per godersi il paesaggio e l’atmosfera

20/04/2025: Posto come sempre fantastico, ideale per un aperitivo, soprattutto se goduto all'esterno. Gli affettati discreti, per i formaggi stiamo ancora attendendo di conoscere che formaggi erano. Il secondo un disastro, una tagliata di pollo cotta a bassa temperatura, che non era tagliata, di sapore indefinito con punte di limone. Anche il dolce , cheesecake, non corrispondeva alle aspettative, alla fine era una crostatina alla ricotta e neppure troppo buona . Peccato, perché in passato questo locale era per noi un riferimento per la cucina genuina e tradizione con vari da 10 e lode.
