08/05/2026: Sunday lunch with friends and two girls, ages 5 and 3. Surrounded by nature, the place offers plenty of space to stroll. Good, traditional food. The wait between courses was a bit long, but the opportunity to spend time outdoors made up for it, considering we weren't in a rush.

02/05/2026: Avoid! I'd like to highlight two things: 1) This morning, during the farm tour, a bale of hay began (inexplicably) rolling from the top of the hill (area owned by the couple who run the farm) and crashed (fortunately) against a tree located near the donkey pen and very close to the farm. If it hadn't been for the tree, who knows what kind of disaster it would have caused. Well, this caused a certain understandable fear among those present at the tour, and none of the owners thought to reassure us or apologize for what had happened, explaining the reason for this grave human error. I find it absurd that there was no protective barrier marking the boundary between the sloping field and the farm area. There was a very high risk that the bale could crash into people. Not a word from the owners. Shameful. 2) The outdoor picnic cost €22/adult and €15/child; I found it subpar on every level. The coppa and pancetta were terribly quality, even badly cut. The cannelloni were lukewarm and the portions meager. You'd eat better in a school cafeteria. A place run by amateurs. Stay away.

25/04/2026: The prices on the Corte San Carlo restaurant website are not truthful because I paid €22 for a regular pizza round and €30 for the one with a beer round.

18/04/2026: I have to say that here in Northern Italy, people are very, very sad. Especially dissatisfied with their jobs (generally speaking, of course), but sometimes you find really friendly people.

01/06/2026: Absolutely fantastic! A traditional Italian restaurant in the Italian countryside, 200 km north of Milan. The owner is welcoming and her dishes are divine.

13/05/2026: Quality comes at a price, and those seeking high-quality food and drink, excellent service, a historic/artistic/monumental medieval setting (where the 1985 film Ladyhawke and the 1968 TV series The Black Arrow were partly filmed), and an exceptional view of the town/valley/plain—all combined—can't go wrong with Taverna del Falconiere. First course, second course, side dish, dessert, nocino liqueur, coffee, plus bread, water, and a half liter of excellent red wine, €54 per person. Includes a tour of the building and a chat with the owner about historical and artistic topics. And no reservations required.

17/02/2026: The only one who's putting in a bit of effort is the girl... as for the rest: I'm all for the desire to work. Sure, it's easy to say you own a bar, and then talk about football (amateur football, by the way!)

29/11/2025: I came here for breakfast, and everything was fine: - The food was good. - The staff is well-mannered and friendly. - The prices are a bit high, but overall okay. - There is a play area where smoking is prohibited, but people smoke there without any problems. I think the value for money is 4 stars.

26/02/2026: A pastry shop not far from Piacenza station. I went in thinking I could get breakfast, but they don't have a coffee bar. It's a shame... I bought some croissants and left. The quality isn't bad, but it's a shame we don't have breakfast on site... or rather, there's a vending machine with a coffee machine! So BEWARE if you're looking for a place to have breakfast on site, sitting comfortably with a nice coffee, cappuccino, latte macchiato, etc. (bar style), this isn't for you...

06/01/2026: Recommended by a supplier, I bought a savoury panettone for Christmas Eve lunch. It's my first time buying from Groppi. Excellent quality, the bread is soft, fresh, and tasty, unlike the usual sandwich bread I buy elsewhere. The filling is just right and balanced, a 10/10. The crispy focaccia is also delicious, highly recommended. I don't live in the city, but I'll definitely be back to buy other baked goods.

23/12/2025: A pretty horrific experience: aside from the thin, crispy pizza, which you might or might not like (in my case, not at all), the service was incredibly slow, and the dining room was huge, poorly lit, and confusing. But above all, the problems were almost Nas-like: among the dishes we ordered, we ordered spaghetti with clams that were not only overcooked, but had rotten clams (the smell was unbearable, as was the taste; the waiter's response was, "I have a cold and I can't smell them"). We also ordered a pizza with porcini mushrooms, and they were full of small, dark worms. The table next to us had the same problem with their mushroom pizza. We definitely won't be returning.

27/04/2026: The pizza, not much to say, simple but delicious. I didn't particularly like some of the flavors, but those are my personal opinions. The owners are very kind. The atmosphere is nice, but it could be better, and after school it's always very crowded, so you have to eat outside.

07/02/2026: A good value pizzeria. The Margherita pizza is very good, but I didn't like the 4 cheese, cherry tomato, and onion pizza very much.

26/08/2025: Lunch for 14 euros. But then you'll need something basic to balance it out. Pasta with ragu; a drowning of poorly cooked farfalle in a puddle of blood with... I think some meat. Grilled meat: one piece was a lump of nerves, the other burned. Sausage is eaten while salt and pepper reign supreme, the frankfurter burnt. Luckily the place had a dog... who ate in my place. Salad with wilted leaves and tomatoes. All served by an agitated woman who doesn't even say hello like the receipt. In short, a disgusting lunch. Congratulations, this way you help the region. Lunch doesn't need to be huge; a little willpower would be enough to do decently. An extra star in the rating in the hope that you'll try to do better rather than thinking this opinion is disingenuous.
