We went to Cianci Bistrot in Piacenza for an aperitif the evening before the competition with the Accademia Scherma San Marco, and it was a truly enjoyable experience. A welcoming place, a relaxed atmosphere, and kind and helpful staff. The aperitif was excellent, with quality products and well-prepared drinks. It was the perfect place to get together and spend some quality time as a team before the competition. Recommended for an aperitif with friends or a quiet evening in the center of Piacenza. We'll be back! 🥂

We stumbled upon this place almost by chance; it was the only one open in Piazza Duomo in Piacenza at 10:30 on a Saturday night. The window display is small; if it weren't for the lights, we wouldn't have even noticed, but inside is a delightful little room where we enjoyed an excellent hot chocolate with cream. We'll definitely be back.

Ristorante Taverna del Falconiere

01/06/2026: Absolutely fantastic! A traditional Italian restaurant in the Italian countryside, 200 km north of Milan. The owner is welcoming and her dishes are divine.
13/05/2026: Quality comes at a price, and those seeking high-quality food and drink, excellent service, a historic/artistic/monumental medieval setting (where the 1985 film Ladyhawke and the 1968 TV series The Black Arrow were partly filmed), and an exceptional view of the town/valley/plain—all combined—can't go wrong with Taverna del Falconiere. First course, second course, side dish, dessert, nocino liqueur, coffee, plus bread, water, and a half liter of excellent red wine, €54 per person. Includes a tour of the building and a chat with the owner about historical and artistic topics. And no reservations required.
