03/01/2026: Excellent food, welcoming atmosphere. Good service and ample parking. Prices are almost in line with local restaurants.

19/10/2025: We had lunch at the restaurant, which has ample parking and an outdoor seating area. The atmosphere is pleasant and very clean. The menu includes appetizers and salads, first courses, and desserts; no main courses are served. We chose tagliatelle with mushrooms: it was delicious, a generous portion, and a fair price. What we found a bit high was the cover charge (€2.50/person), considering there was a paper placemat and paper napkin provided. The host was courteous.

20/01/2026: Excellent restaurant, excellent hospitality, good food, but the room temperature is cold. Turn on the radiators well before opening and keep the thermostat high. This is the only negative note. We will return in the summer.

02/09/2025: A pizzeria offering two options: a nice, high-quality slice of pizza, or a very thin, piadina-like pizza. I ordered the latter with friends and found it tasty and filling. They also brought us a spicy Apulian pickled vegetable to liven things up. You can take out or eat in the small, cozy adjacent dining room, or at the outdoor tables (facing the parking lot). Table service includes a platter of platters and drinks from the fridge. Restrooms are available and kept tidy. And after your pizza, you can order one of the ice creams from the counter. Prices are reasonable.

14/03/2026: Nothing exceptional, unfortunately, the prices are outrageous. The clerk serves you bread, pizzas, and focaccias with her hands, which she then uses to take your money and give you change! My expectations were completely different! A real shame.

26/02/2026: A pastry shop not far from Piacenza station. I went in thinking I could get breakfast, but they don't have a coffee bar. It's a shame... I bought some croissants and left. The quality isn't bad, but it's a shame we don't have breakfast on site... or rather, there's a vending machine with a coffee machine! So BEWARE if you're looking for a place to have breakfast on site, sitting comfortably with a nice coffee, cappuccino, latte macchiato, etc. (bar style), this isn't for you...

06/01/2026: Recommended by a supplier, I bought a savoury panettone for Christmas Eve lunch. It's my first time buying from Groppi. Excellent quality, the bread is soft, fresh, and tasty, unlike the usual sandwich bread I buy elsewhere. The filling is just right and balanced, a 10/10. The crispy focaccia is also delicious, highly recommended. I don't live in the city, but I'll definitely be back to buy other baked goods.

26/08/2025: Lunch for 14 euros. But then you'll need something basic to balance it out. Pasta with ragu; a drowning of poorly cooked farfalle in a puddle of blood with... I think some meat. Grilled meat: one piece was a lump of nerves, the other burned. Sausage is eaten while salt and pepper reign supreme, the frankfurter burnt. Luckily the place had a dog... who ate in my place. Salad with wilted leaves and tomatoes. All served by an agitated woman who doesn't even say hello like the receipt. In short, a disgusting lunch. Congratulations, this way you help the region. Lunch doesn't need to be huge; a little willpower would be enough to do decently. An extra star in the rating in the hope that you'll try to do better rather than thinking this opinion is disingenuous.

08/03/2026: This place has been a regular stop for breakfast and lunch for over ten years during our motorcycle tours in the area. Now the prices have skyrocketed for the area.

02/03/2026: After a beautiful, allegorical day with floats and confetti, we ended up on "Candid Camera"! Sunday evening, they seated us in a small room and served us a "Mrs." It was unclear whether she was there, acting, or in a state of agitation. The portions arrived cold and incorrect, so we ate a little, then quickly and quietly left. Never again! EXTREMELY high prices.

09/01/2026: Luckily, I discovered this wine shop. Compared to other wine shops and wine bars in Piacenza, I can say without a doubt that it's the best. I'd say Andrea is the ultimate local wine expert. I particularly appreciated his endless knowledge of France and Northern Italy. It's clear he has a passion to spare. As for the wine shop, it's become my go-to wine shop. The selection is vast and includes both famous and renowned labels as well as high-quality niche labels. I've personally purchased both premium and standard bottles: the prices are very competitive, comparable to what you'd find online. As for the wine bar, I highly recommend this place for short aperitifs/aperitif dinners (the place closes at 10 pm). The atmosphere is relaxed and perfect for a leisurely tasting. Excellent service, complete with explanations of the wines and their origins. As for the food, I highly recommend the Fassona tartare, Culatello, and Vitello tonnato: excellent quality ingredients, superb preparation, and market-leading prices. The only advice I can offer for now, considering myself only an amateur wine enthusiast, is to explore the already excellent selection of Super Tuscan wines (I realize these aren't wines for everyday use 😁). That said, kudos to Andrea for continuing to offer a gem in Piacenza!
