The food is average and does not leave a memorable impression, nothing special compared to other offerings in the city. 01/07/2025: The place was recommended to us by a dear friend who has been going there for many years. The location is really nice, right on the canal. The owner is very attentive and you can see that she cares about her products and her history! In addition to being an excellent lunch break for the delicious food, it was also an opportunity to say a few words of sympathy! We had the sandwich with smoked eel (a real explosion of flavors) and the "Lido degli Scacchi" piadina with the typical Zia Ferrarese salami. Nothing to say about the excellence of the products which obviously require a medium-high price.

24/06/2025: I was verbally attacked for moving a chair from one table to another. They are plastic chairs, one chair was in the sun and I moved it to one of the tables that were in the shade because there were three of us eating. In front of all the other customers the owner started yelling, saying that We shouldn't have taken the liberty of moving a chair, which by the way wasn't bothering anyone. We sat down and she continued with the attacks. So we got up and started to note that the week before we had 50 foreigners visiting and we brought them there, promoting the place. I see from the many comments that it is not the first time that the owner has made racist comments or behaved in an aggressive and arrogant manner. Dear lady, this is not the way to keep customers. We will definitely not return.

23/06/2025: We had lunch twice at Bar Astra and were very satisfied. The service was attentive and scrupulous, especially regarding food allergies: they do not use wheat flour, but rice, which is great news for those who are celiac. Also interesting is the possibility of tasting local products such as craft beer, gin and Comacchio bitters. You can see great attention to detail and to the customer: a real mission for them. Honest prices: cover charge €2.00, coffee €1.40. Highly recommended!

08/06/2025: Top place for celiac menus, for the rest I was not satisfied, cold dishes not well cared for, in the great mix of fried food there was mainly polenta

28/04/2025: Ci sono ritornata dopo diversi anni,forse 8/10 fa,lo trovato diverso. Il servizio al tavolo prima non c’era,e ricordavo che affianco avevano una pescheria con pesce fresco in vista. Comunque tutto sommato ci ho mangiato bene. Abbiamo preso frittura mista con patatine e 3 pezzetti di anguilla,1/2 gassata e 1/2 vino alla spina. In due abbiamo speso €46

04/05/2025: The atmosphere of the medieval tavern will surely get you as we did. I believe that if I wasn't driving a car, even wine tasting would be great. The food is very original. Spaghetti al dente which was great. On hot days, everything feels like an oasis. We enjoyed it very much.

02/06/2025: Today June 2nd at 10:02 ordered a macchiatone, a large cup of barley and a bread amberjack......at 10:26. Not yet served. Asked for explanations to the ordering clerk who TURNED BACK AND DID NOT HAVE THE COURTESY TO JUSTIFY THE DELAY OR TRY TO REMEDY IT. Reported incident to the owner who HOWEVER DID NOT APOLOGIZE OR TRY TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. ........................The plastic cups in a delicatessen in the historic center of the city are unacceptable.

30/05/2025: I highly recommend it to enjoy local specialties in a quiet environment with an amazing view of the palace. Good service and very good prices, delicious food!!!!

26/05/2025: It's a different experience, nestled in a barge on the river. So rustic, with a fixed menu for lunch €35 and evening €40 including Saturday Sunday. Friendly staff with fast service. I recommend it

23/05/2025: Highly recommended stop for those traveling by motorbike along the Po or in the Ferrara/Rovigo area. Eating on these floating boats is an experience in itself, but here you can add over 12 courses of very fresh fish with a really convenient fixed formula. Also ideal for groups and motorbike tours: you eat a lot, well and without surprises on the bill. The staff is welcoming, kind and ready to chat, which is always appreciated after a day in the saddle. Convenient parking and space for motorbikes. Recommended for those looking for authentic flavours and an out of the ordinary atmosphere!

22/06/2025: We have been going to the restaurant for several years and we have always had a good time and we have always eaten very well; unfortunately this year the first dinner with friends was disappointing... out of 4 glasses they brought us for wine 2 had lipstick marks and we had them changed... the skewer that has always been excellent had pieces of sausage... I had the tagliata... it was a piece of meat with bone but more than anything half was fat and cartilage, for 21 euros I expect better... in the end we had thought about dessert or coffee, but after half an hour of waiting with the table cleared we went to the cashier. A disappointment..

28/04/2025: Trovata per puro caso questa trattoria lascia stupiti per più punti, di cui uno di questi è la qualità del cibo e del servizio. Entriamo incuriositi in quanto a prima vista pare una rosticceria molto casereccia, veniamo accolti da 2 signori poi rivelatesi molto simpatici, cortesi e pieni di consigli sul cibo. Partiamo con 2 primi (tortelli e pasta) di ottimo livello, ma poi ci scateniamo con la salama da sugo e purè, roba d'altri tempi, gusti forti ma per palati fini, il tutto condito con un ottimo vino della casa (casereccio) Prezzo buono e usciamo felici, se torniamo a Ferrara state sicuri che ci torniamo!

16/02/2025: Scoperta per caso, ma piacevolmente sorpresi. Proprietari gentilissimi e davvero super disponibili. Cucina tipica e tutto fatto in casa, davvero ottimo. Anche il prezzo assolutamente competitivo. Ci torneremo senz'altro e lo consigliamo.

15/06/2025: We are on vacation at Lido delle Nazioni and yesterday evening, walking around dinner time, we stopped for an aperitif in this small, very nice place. The non-alcoholic fruit cocktail made by Luca was delicious. Then we also stopped for dinner and between hamburgers and piadinas with porchetta, we left very satisfied and certainly during our vacation, we will return to visit Luca the owner together with his boys.
