01/04/2024: A place with a claim. I booked through Google Maps, they responded promptly. We were greeted warmly, all the waiters were incredibly attentive and helpful. The restaurant is not the largest, the atmosphere is pleasant, with increased comfort, there is a small wonderful terrace. They kindly offered prosecco for an aperitif. Then they brought a bread basket, although it did not contain the most delicious bread. But the Sauvignon Blanc was wonderful. And, despite the fact that I ordered a glass, they opened a new, perfectly chilled bottle in front of me. The thin grissini were the best. First they brought a compliment: arancini mini with basil cream. As an appetizer, I ordered baby squid with mashed peas. Well... the dish is about nothing. For main course - eel. It completely copied the banal unagi in marinade and glazing. Garnish: mashed potatoes. The portion is not very big. Not a masterpiece either. The choice of mille-feuille with orange cream for dessert was disappointing. The dough was too dry and there was a hint of salt; only the orange cream was tasty. We must pay tribute to the waiter: in response to my comment, he brought me a wonderful piece of homemade Colombo for coffee and deducted dessert from the bill. Overall, overpriced. I wouldn't go a second time.

13/04/2024: Une belle découverte à l’occasion d’une escale à Venise. Mise en bouche originale, très bon poisson et surtout un tiramisu d’une légèreté exceptionnelle. Excellent cappuccino.

16/04/2024: Voici la deuxième fois que nous revenons dans cet établissement .le souci est que le maître d’hôtel parle français , mais ne le comprend pas! La moitié de la commande était passée à l’as ! Nous avons attendu une demie heure pour un plat qui n’est jamais venu! Ceci dit la langue ( en entrée) est bonne et le foie de veau à la vénitienne sympathique . Ne commandez pas de pâtes , elles sont chères , servies en très petites portions et pas meilleures qu’ailleurs . En revanche les vins sont excellents et abordables si on écoute le maître d’hôtel le plus âgé . Pour le prix les nappes sont blanches, les serviettes en tissus et les clients envoyés par les concierges des palaces ne semblent pas désargentés . Pour le soir le cadre intérieur est superbe . Environ 150 € à deux .

15/04/2024: Wonderful evening here at this very elegant Venetian establishment. Despite not being the absolute best food I’ve ever had in Italy, the meal was very delicious and prepared with style. We’d particularly recommend the duck! However, what made this experience 5 star in my view was the wonderfully knowledgeable sommelier, Davide, whose knowledge of wines and local cuisine (and history) was shared with us with such passion and authenticity. Honestly, I think the best thing to do at this restaurant is ask for Davide, give him an idea as to how much much food you’d like to eat and let him guide you through some lovely Venetian tastes. It’s guy like him that make Italy so special, so do yourself a favour and forget what you think you like or want and trust the expertise of these Italian professionals. Like that you can’t go wrong! Thank you Davide - Grazie da Matera!!

18/04/2024: Gentilissimi fin dalla prenotazione al telefono. Grande cura ed attenzione. Abbiamo gustato un fritto ottimo, gli spaghetti alla Busera e sarde in saor. Tutto buonissimo. Conto più che onesto per la qualità offerta. Felice di aver portato le mie amiche che hanno apprezzato moltissimo

04/04/2024: A most pleasant dinner. It was recommended to us by a hotel in Verona and I would recommend it to anyone. The service is a 10 and they make you feel at home. Furthermore, the food leaves no one indifferent, everything we ordered was delicious and when we return to Venice we will definitely repeat 👌

06/04/2024: If you go to Venice, come here to eat, at the ancient dolo you eat like God. We had several first courses, they were prepared with so much care and it was a pleasure for the palate. Perfect service, everything taken care of down to the smallest detail. I absolutely recommend you take the freshly assembled Tiramisu! Everything was perfect, we had a very, very good time. Very welcoming place, congratulations ♥️

09/04/2024: We were staying in Bologna and I planned a day trip to Venice just to go to this restaurant. Just managed to get the last reservation available during our visit to Italy. Completely felt welcome as soon as we walked in, looked after throughout our lunch and the food was wonderful! I’d go back to Venice just to eat here again. Felt very lucky and grateful I got to experience Osteria Alle Testiere.

05/04/2024: I’m not sure I can add much to the already glowing reviews of this tiny and totally true to its principles restaurant tucked away down a side street in Venice. Mind you, a lot of the more interesting stuff is tucked down the side streets of Venice! It’s so small, we walked past it the first time, then noticed all the stickers adorning 1 of the doors, from all the guides and reviews that have been published, so in we went. Immediately put at ease by the front of house team, we sat down in a corner and started looking through the menus. Advice was sought and given, especially over wine and the evening just flowed by. It was all so relaxed and congenial. The pictures (sort of) do justice to good the food was. Dessert made my partner appreciate Tiramisu for the first-time ever and when the bill arrived, we were pleasantly surprised. It wasn’t that bad, especially considering what we had just eaten and how much we’d get charged for that sort of quality in London! A must if you enjoy food and are in Venice. Book early!

31/03/2024: We wanted to return to this welcoming restaurant....and like the previous time...we had an excellent lunch, fast service and a special compliment to the restaurant manager who took care of my daughter's requests with great attention...truly a excellent professional. TOP restaurant 😁🖐!!!

30/03/2024: Liver was great! Gnocchi with salmon sauce was great! Staff were very friendly and gave good recommendations for wine. Worth a quick stop for lunch or drinks by the water (they serve through a cute little window if you sit outside).

07/04/2024: This was one of our favorite restaurants from the whole 2-week trip we took to Italy, but still some pros and cons to share. Pros: the wait staff is very friendly and the food is superb. We got the seafood risotto for two (it comes in a wooden gondola, see the pics below!) which was to die for even for people who don't like seafood. We also got lasagna, a crab linguine, a tiramisu and then the restaurant gave us free cookies and pastries which were also fantastic. The desserts really knocked this experience out of the park for us. Cons: We had to wait more than 30 minutes outside and it was confusing how to sign up for a table and how long the wait would be. When we finally got to the front of the line expecting to be seated next, two families walked up (without reservations) and were seated first only because they had small children. I understand the logic from the wait staff, but something to keep in mind if you plan on showing up without a reservation.

07/04/2024: Visiting Ridha definitely means wanting to have a good time! This restaurant was recommended to us by a wine bar near the Rialto, perfect because very close to where we had an aperitif! The restaurant is a must in terms of atmosphere, welcome and price. And, even if I ate very well, I cannot say that we would choose this place for haute cuisine. The dishes are very good, very plentiful, fresh,… there is no desire to show off with flowers or unnecessary decorations and that’s fine! On the other hand, it is advisable to book because as many people want to spend some time there, there is a line…! Thank you in any case to the boss and their entire team for the moment of relaxation they gave us, it was great and we will come back!!!!

30/03/2024: Over rated,Over priced, bland food/but nice pressented/. Staff not really attentive, it supposed to be a family restaurant...to make feel a customers more engaged , more welcomed...but unfortunately Lack of atmosphere, no family touch. I understand to be busy, but it was only 3 tables to be served. We giving them 2 stars only because we really liked the zucchini flowers and the bread.

25/03/2024: Dans un décor classique et sobre, on vous propose des plats locaux savoureux et délicatement préparés, accompagnés d'excellents vins locaux. L'ambiance est familiale, le service attentionné et très sympathique. Nous y sommes revenus le lendemain, c'est dire !

17/04/2024: We had a lovely experience at Da Mamo. The restaurant was small and intimate. The service was quick polite and efficient. The food was very good and everyone enjoyed their meals. As may be expected in the middle of Venice the price was quite high but as a special occasion it was not unreasonable. We would recommend a visit but do consider making a reservation as it was very busy with limited seating. We saw a few walk in customers turned away. Overall very pleased with our choice of restaurant for the evening.

15/04/2024: .. siamo a Venezia e se non fosse per questo ci sarebbe subito da dire che i prezzi sono alti.. però essendo a Venezia già e’ un miracolo trovare ristoranti non commerciali e non da turisti dove oltre prendere fregature ti svuotano il portafogli .. ecco questo e’ un ristorante non da turisti dove si spende tanto ma almeno si mangia davvero bene il pesce si sente che e’ freschissimo e il posto e’ molto bello.. crudi davvero buoni come anche i cicchetti e i primi. Soldi spesi bene in una Venezia sempre più cara.

13/04/2024: Location comoda e suggestiva ma cucina assolutamente di scarso livello. Ristorante turistico, personale gentile e in piattamento curato ma nulla di quanto abbiamo ordinato era meritevole. Crudi di scarso valore e pacchero al pesce scotto. Peccato.

06/04/2024: Disappointing value for money. In an old-fashioned setting. Their location near the rialto in Venice certainly saves them a little.
