03/07/2024: An excellent spot on the side of the canal. The gnocchi with tuna and sun dried tomatoes was wonderful. My first bite was heaven. The gnocchi was handmade and excellent. Service was solid. Price was good. Again, get the gnocchi!!!

26/06/2024: Two of us shared the seafood risotto and it was flavorful and generous with clams, mussels and shrimp. Spaghetti Bolognese was flavorful with a bit of spice. The chef’s chicken was moist and nicely spiced. The owner was engaging and fun to talk with. We all enjoyed dinner

16/06/2024: Ristorante storico a pochi passi da San Marco. Si trova in una via poco trafficata dove poter mangiare con tranquillità sia all’interno che all’esterno respirando quella che è la tradizione di Venezia. Ottimi piatti a base di pesce e buon servizio! Interessante anche la proposta di vini. Super consigliato!!

01/09/2024: Sono tornata in questo ristorante perché degli amici avevano prenotato qui e non volevamo essere scortesi ma ci sarà un motivo se non ci vengo da anni. I piatti non sarebbero neanche malvagi (ma da rivedere sicuramente) ma ogni pietanza nuota nell’olio. La frittura durissima. Salvo il granchio ma aveva una quantità di pepe da rovinarne il gusto. Acustica pessima confusione totale. Non vedevo l’ora di uscire da quel rumore infernale. I camerieri sono gentili ed efficienti ma la cucina, a mio avviso, va alleggerita parecchio.

25/08/2024: Had a fantastic meal at Trattoria Andri, very simple but delicious quality food. The wine was absolutely delicious, simply white wine in a Murano glass carafe. This is local, family run but beautiful modern interior. Definitely recommend but you will need to book.

17/12/2024: Recommended to us by our hotel unfortunately its wasn't quite what we were looking for the food was ok. The staff were kind but there is no music even background music and tye atmosphere was a little on the flat side. There are better places to eat in Venice for cheaper but of you want a quiet meal this may be the place for you. Also no pizza on the menu which we were surprised about.

29/06/2024: The 7th restaurant in my 11 restaurant ‘eating Venice’ extravaganza Osteria Bancogiro delivered. Located in close proximity to the Rialto Market and bridge, it’s situated in a really historic building, where in the past rich Venetians would use a messaging system to collect credits and pay debts, not liking to handle money personally. It’s a beautiful and atmospheric location to eat Venetian food. Like all my previous restaurants, my table had been booked months in advance, and reconfirmed a few days before. The comprehensive menu had plenty of choice, but with a twist. Thumbing through the pages I opted for the Scallops and Rhubarb cevicé and home made Bigola (thick spaghetti like pasta) with Lobster Sauce, Cavier and Zucchini and for dessert, an interesting looking Bavarian Mascarpone Cake with Cocoa, Maple Syrup and Truffle. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted fantastic, everything was obviously fresh and the chefs skill obvious. Wine was a local Chardonnay which matched beautiful. I have to say, the dessert was particularly interesting with the savoury truffle notes balancing the sweetness of the Mascarpone and Maple Syrup 10/10 another standout place to eat. Service was relaxed and friendly, food knockout and reasonably priced for the quality.

06/12/2024: The Margherita pizza tasted like chewing on cardboard, and the Vongole pasta had a strong seafoody smell. It was truly the worst experience. ㅠㅠ

22/08/2024: La qualité des produits est excellentes, le goût est exceptionnel, si vous aimez la bonne cuisine italienne de poisson n’hésitez pas Acqua e mais est incontournable à Venise. L’avantage c’est que l’on choisit ce que l’on veut en petite quantité si on souhaite découvrir plusieurs saveurs.

08/08/2024: So many good cicchetti choices. Loved it here. Polenta is very good. The meatballs are great. For the adventurous try the fish based items like squid in ink.

21/08/2024: Excellente cuisine, endroit très sympa. Nous nous sommes régalés. La cuisson basse température pour les RIB, le tartare, la mousse de burrata et la pièce de bœuf nous ont séduits.

13/08/2024: Very nice dinner experience in such a touristic city. We were a group of 10 and each dish was very tasty - the pasta with tomatoes and ricotta was the best we had in Italy .

05/08/2024: Negativo. Sebbene i camerieri siano molto cortesi e la posizione privilegiata sul canale con vista sulle Zattere, la vocazione è esclusivamente turistica, I prezzi sono esagerati per porzioni modeste, acqua e coperto. Il menù online e i prezzi sono diversi da quelli reali.

20/08/2024: Ristorante che fa da cornice allo splendido Hotel Hilton sito sull’Isola della Giudecca…una location accogliente ma soprattutto romantica che affaccia sul canale dell’omonima Isola. luci soffuse e un ottimo bicchiere di bollicine accompagnato tutto con della bella musica dal vivo rendono la serata unica. Ottime le pietanze di ottima qualità, presentate in modo elegante e raffinato. Una piccola nota negativa la devo lasciare a malincuore al pane dei cicchetti Veneziani, che potrebbe essere sostituito con qualche altro prodotto…non è il caratteristico cicchetto Veneziano. Superlativo il servizio, camerieri impeccabili è sempre pronti alle richieste dei clienti. Prezzi medio/alti…ma cosa si vuole? Sei all Hilton a Venezia. OTTIMO

25/11/2024: Il personale accogliente, cibo buonissimo e pesce davvero fresco!Porzioni abbondanti e la cena è stata davvero un successo! Avevo sentito parlare bene di questo ristorante ma la bontà dei piatti e la gentilezza del personale, soprattutto il maitre di sala hanno superato le aspettative! Da tornarci….con l’acquolina in bocca!

26/06/2024: Wij zaten buiten op het terras. De stoeltjes zaten al vreselijk. Geen kussentjes erop. Deze Osteria heeft veel visgerechten op de kaart. Wij hadden vis op venetische bereid met polenta. Het zag er niet aantrekkelijk uit en smaakte ook niet. De gegrilde groenten waren wel lekker. Na afloop konden we geen koffie of dessert krijgen. Het personeel was ook niet vriendelijk of behulpzaam. De volgende keer ga ik naar een ander restaurant. Er liggen er genoeg aan dit plein.

06/12/2024: Fuimos por recomendación de un conocido, sobre todo para degustar la mozzarella in carrozza. Hubo que esperar un poco de cola pero la comida está realmente bien, aunque te la tengas que comer casi en la barra o en la calle dado que los espacios dentro son limitados. Los postres están riquísimos también, recomiendo el tiramisù acompañado de un buen café. Los precios son quizá un poco altos pero estando dónde está, qué le vas a hacer. Volveré seguro cuando regrese a Venezia.

03/07/2024: A question on the Venice forum made me realise I hadn’t reviewed this so I added this review from our trip in May 2022. If you like seafood and are looking for a restaurant with a canal view this is worth the trip to Giudecca. The marinati of the day was three small portions. Aquadelle are local, small white fish like whitebait. A pleasant surprise was they had moeche - soft shelled crab only in season for a very short time depending on the sea temperature. Something my husband has in Venice when available. I had grilled sea bass - tasty, well cooked and filleted. We asked for a wine recommendation which we enjoyed. The moeche upped the price as you’d expect - 2 starters, a shared pasta, 2 mains, a salad, bottle of wine, bottle of water and a grappa cost us €152. If you want to sit on the terrace book. If you want a table at the front of the terrace book one specifically. The terrace isn’t very big and we heard people ask to move to a front table and be told they were booked. Understandable as there are only 4-6 tables from memory.

23/06/2024: bel locale caratteristico, si entra da una calletta e ci si trova poi su una terrazza sul canale, ottima cena a base di pesce con dolce finale che fa finire il tutto in bellezza, prezzo giusto per essere a Venezia e mangiar pesce, che dire, lo consiglierei specialmente per una cenetta romantica, la mia è stata perfetta
