25/07/2025: Absolutely fantastic dining experience! The food was beyond amazing—every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The waitstaff were exceptional: warm, attentive, and made us feel truly welcomed from start to finish. Even better…. when they are Harley Davidson family. This place perfectly captures the charm and hospitality of Venice. We will definitely be returning!

22/07/2025: Mi marido y yo decidimos planificar un viaje a Italia a última hora basado en un viaje de trabajo. Como el destino quiso, íbamos a estar en Venecia para la Fiesta del Redentor, un gran festival anual veneciano que incluye un espectáculo de fuegos artificiales sobre la Piazza San Marco. Busqué un lugar que tuviera una bonita vista de la azotea de los fuegos artificiales, y La Caravella era muy recomendable. Muy poco después de hacer una reserva, el Dr. Marianna Serandrei (que es un miembro de la familia propietaria y administradora del restaurante desde 1963 , y del hotel Saturnia desde 1908) se comunicó para asegurarme de que tenía clara la cena y para asegurarme de que quería reservar un lugar para la azotea. Ella fue increíblemente paciente tratando con mi banco de los Estados Unidos y me ayudó a organizar todo. La noche del evento, cenamos a las 7 PM. La comida era INCREÍBLE, y el servicio era de primera. Mi esposo tenía un filete que era tan tierno, que dijo que podía cortarlo con un tenedor, y yo tenía el pescado del día que era delicado, sabroso y acompañado de ingredientes locales frescos. Porque los fuegos artificiales no comenzaron hasta las 11 aprox. 30 , tuvimos bastante tiempo entre que terminamos nuestra cena y cuando se abrió la azotea. El personal era servicial en darnos todas las pruebas necesarias que, de hecho, habíamos reservado un lugar para la azotea. Cuando llegamos a la azotea a las 10: 30 , pudimos conseguir un asiento con una bonita pareja de Chicago que amablemente accedió a compartir su mesa. Las bebidas estaban incluidas en la reserva de la azotea, el personal era amable y servicial y el espectáculo de fuegos artificiales desde la terraza de La Caravella no tenía igual. No puedo recomendar suficientemente esta institución familiar. La Caravella es una visita obligada.

13/10/2025: Such an incredible night! The Owner and staff work hard to create an authentic and memorable experience! Beautiful and clean restaurant! We trusted Joseph and he took our menus and brought out incredible dish after incredible dish. True Traditional Venetian food!! It was our last stop before heading back to the US after a month in Italy and what a way to end it!! First my wife and Shared a seafood platter of local caught shellfish next, we both had an incredible clam pasta then, each of us had a whole fish with the traditional grilled polenta cake with mixed grilled veggies (so good). We were stuffed at this point but had to get one last tiramisu before leaving Italy and it did not disappoint!! We shared a bottle of local a White wine, and throughout the entire meal they kept bringing out complimentary digestifs. You will not leave hungry or thirsty!! We’d come back to Venice just to eat here and experience the wonderful food of Ristorante Antica Sacrestia one more time!

11/10/2025: The owner, an elderly Italian gentleman, checks the presentation of the dishes before serving them. The owner was very kind and served us even though we didn't have a reservation. In fact, after offering us a nice table inside, we asked to dine in the patio, a very romantic and peaceful spot. The restaurant's atmosphere is exquisitely quiet, beautifully decorated, and the food is excellent value for money. We spent four days in Venice, and it's our favorite restaurant. While we waited five minutes for our table to be prepared, we were offered a welcome cocktail.

03/08/2025: Une expérience magnifique dans un vrai restaurant avec un vrai chef. Nous nous sommes régalés et l’accueil était absolument impeccable ! Exceptionnellement le chef a accepté de préparer de pâtes à l’ail pimentées : quel bonheur ! Tout est parfait merci beaucoup !!!

03/10/2025: Tourists- do not go here. I sat down with my wife and adult daughter, who are gluten free. They didn’t find anything appetizing on the menu so we got up to leave. The manager shook us down to pay 15 euro for literally sitting for 90 seconds. I paid because I did not want to create a scene- or be breaking any laws. This wasn’t about money- it was about how terribly we were treated. Trust me- don’t go here. Sincerely, Mike

29/09/2025: Tucked into Corte Contarina near Museo Correr, Osteria da Carla hides a modern interior behind its timeworn façade. Once a bàcaro run by Pietro Panizzolo in 1935, later Carla’s osteria, it’s now reinvented with a chic menu. A trio of ciccheti opened the meal – shrimp on ink polenta, ray in braised leaf, and duck with orange and pecorino – thoughtful but uneven (6.5/10). Black ink bigoli with tomato, bottarga and basil had bold Veneto flavours, though the pasta was stodgy (7/10). Baccalà alla Vicentina came with pea purée and crisp polenta taragna – inventive, if slightly unbalanced (7/10). A rare solid eatery steps away from Piazza San Marco.

10/05/2025: Personale gentile e accogliente. Servizio un po’ lento. Cibo buono, ma che non giustifica la spesa secondo noi eccessiva.

07/05/2025: Wir sind jedes Jahr zu Besuch in Venedig und verbringen den letzten Abend in der Osteria Oliva Nera. Der Service ist ausgezeichnet, die Beratung ist kompetent, es gibt kaum Wartezeiten und die Tische auf der Straße vor der Osteria bieten viel Unterhaltung. Fior di Zucchini mit Baby-Artischocken aus Sant´Erasmo, Fegato alla Venziana bzw. Spaghetti alle Vongole und danch noch der Mont Blanc: purer Genuss! Wir werden 2026 wiederkommen und sind jetzt schon gespannt auf das Menü.

12/10/2025: Excellent food and they offer gluten-free options. The service is magnificent. It overlooks the canal, yet the prices aren't excessive.

11/10/2025: Aperitivo and lunch at Bacaro: excellent spritz, delicious and plentiful cicchetti, and reasonable prices. Perfect location, away from the hustle and bustle. We'll be back!

03/10/2025: I just dropped in, but the friendly service despite my broken English made me very happy. The squid ink pasta and the recommended onion and sardine pasta in oil were both delicious. This is a restaurant that even those who aren't confident in their English can feel comfortable using!

11/05/2025: Durante una meravigliosa passeggiata a Burano (che merita sempre!) ci siamo fermati a pranzo in questo locale, fidandoci delle opinioni positive e devo dire che non posso far altro che confermare! Servizio super carino, veloce ed attento, personale simpatico, piatti deliziosi, tradizionali ma non banali e soprattutto non "per turisti". Conto corretto. Bravissimi.

The incredibly welcoming staff knows how to put you at ease, making you feel part of a story that goes beyond just dinner. 18/10/2025: Very average, expensive for what you get. If they offer you a shot, it's not free! They'll charge you €6 in a shot glass for a limoncello. I don't recommend it; there's more variety and it's much better in Venice.

16/10/2025: Definitely worth the long detour. To avoid it. The owner and staff aren't even pretending anymore. Sad and not good.

09/06/2025: Great restaurant that recently changed name and management. It used to be called Antica Mola dei Costa. The menu is also different and very good. Great service.

The staff made us feel welcome and took care of every detail. As for the food, it was very good! We will definitely be back 👍

02/05/2025: I’m sure sitting by a canal is nice but to truly experience this restaurant you should ask for a table inside the restaurant. The atmosphere is pure Italy, loud, friendly, people bursting into song and the locals greeting each other like long lost brothers. It’s magical. We had a great meal, and it was very reasonably priced. The service was good although the air conditioning was up just a little too high. That said, we would return there every night if we thought we could get a table. Reserve to avoid disappointment.

02/05/2025: Grande esperienza. Posto consigliato da un'amica e devo dire che è stato un super consiglio. Locale fuori dalle "vie" principali ma pur sempre vicino, con posti a sedere direttamente sulla riva. Personale meraviglioso, gentile, simpatico e molto venice style! Cosa non scontata. Cibo buonissimo, dagli antipasti, primi e secondi. Consiglio di lasciare uno spazio per i dolci: strepitosi! Passerò parola!

13/07/2025: Auf Empfehlung eines Venzianers haben wir diese Osteria in einer kleinen Gasse gefunden. Sehr nette Bedienung, wir konnten mehrere Weine probieren und haben von einem kleinen Weingut einen ungewöhnlichen Garganega getrunken. Für Venedig gab es ein paar ungewöhnliche Gerichte, die wir probiert haben und die alle sehr lecker waren: Zucchini mit Käse, Nudeln mit Tintenfisch und Tomaten, Schweinerippchen!!! Eine Empfehlung von uns!

27/05/2025: Accueil détestable. Pas sourire, pas de bonjour !! Pour la Politesse on repassera.. C'était très exigu on ne pouvait même pas se tourner et on n'a pas voulu nous donner une autre table. Du coup on s'est levé et reparti... On a trouvé mieux ::

20/06/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Pesce freschissimo, in un posto magico. Abbiamo cenato in questo ristorante di pesce a Venezia e siamo rimasti entusiasti. La location è semplicemente incantevole, curata nei minimi dettagli. Il pesce è freschissimo e cucinato con maestria: ogni portata esalta i sapori autentici del mare. Il personale è stato estremamente cordiale e preparato, pronto a consigliare sia i piatti che il vino. Andrea è una persona fuori dal comune, di quelle che sembrano appartenere a un’altra epoca. Ogni conversazione con lui è un viaggio: ti arricchisce, ti fa riflettere, ti lascia qualcosa. Un vero piacere scambiare anche solo due parole con lui Un'esperienza che unisce gusto, atmosfera e qualità. Se siete a Venezia e amate il pesce, questo posto è una tappa obbligata. Consigliatissimo!

08/06/2025: capitati per caso durante una passeggiata ci siamo tornati due volte cibo buono, possibile assaggiare del cibo tradizionale locale, proprietario un simpatico personaggio super disponibile! approvato!
