04/11/2025: Don't be put off by the multi language menus or heavy advertising, this is a gem of a restaurant with excellent food and great service. Not cheap but great value

Truly excellent food and generous portions; we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back. Fresh, high-quality ingredients and absolutely fair prices. A pleasant discovery, highly recommended!

02/04/2026: We visited this rather basic trattoria. The service was excellent, attentive, and fast. We tried the pasta with clams, which was quite good, and a second course of John Dory. We spent €40, a decent price-quality ratio. Positive experience.

15/03/2026: We had the worst restaurant experience ever here. From the outside the place looks like a small cozy place but we were escorted to a vast dining area which was completely empty. We found out from the menu that this place was a different restaurant. When we were seated we asked for a bottle of sparkling water however we got still water.. The waiter was very rude and pushy. By mistake hi kicked my friend’s leg and didn’t apologize. He kept recommending us the most expensive wine from the menu even though we had not asked for his recommendation. He even brought a tasting sample from that expensive wine that we never asked for. At this point we decided to leave because we felt like we were scammed. The nasty looks we got from the waiter when we asked for the bill for the water was reassuring that leaving the place this early was the best decision.

15/03/2026: One of the best places to eat lunch/dinner in Venice. We went for an early dinner (around 7:40 pm) and it was packed, but they let us wait about 40 minutes and then gave us a table. Anyone would say that having to wait that long is excessive, but it was worth it as it's a place that's VERY unfrequented by tourists (if the locals go, it's usually very good, and we were right). The best pizzas we had in Venice, in a comfortable and warm setting. It was quite noisy, but that's because there was a table of 7 people right behind us; otherwise, I'd describe it as a quiet place. Very friendly at all times. Very good prices, although they do charge a cover charge. If I return to Venice, I'll definitely go back!

07/03/2026: Finally!!! After much searching and a string of disappointments, we've finally found a restaurant worthy of the name. Here, you'll eat very well, at reasonable prices, and you'll be treated with care. Grazie mille 🤍🙏🏼

04/03/2026: The atmosphere is reminiscent of an old inn, in the best sense of the word, where you feel at home and immersed in the charm of days gone by. The food is very good. It's close enough to the Rialto Bridge but quiet enough to catch your breath while being pampered by the staff.

28/02/2026: The quality was commensurate with the price. The fish was cooked perfectly. The staff was always attentive.

27/10/2025: In the somewhat secluded Rialto area, this small osteria is a pleasant surprise, serving traditional and non-traditional dishes, from appetizers to dessert. The atmosphere is intimate, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Prices are moderate, with generous portions and excellent ingredients. Reservations are recommended. We'll be back.

27/10/2025: I've known this place for years, and every time I'm in Venice, I always try to return. I had the pleasure of bringing my colleagues last Friday, and we were all very satisfied. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was casual yet elegant. Roberto served us with reverence, entertaining us and making us have a great time. Thank you, and see you next time.

05/04/2026: We were initially told to sit right by the entrance in front of the counter, even though we had booked a table for two on the first floor. We ended up sitting by the stairs next to the restroom. The steak, ordered medium, arrived raw! The side salad we ordered wasn't served before the main course, but alongside it. Luckily, they finished grilling my steak, so I was able to eat the salad beforehand. PS: I received my food when my wife was almost finished.

31/03/2026: I was walking by when I saw how pretty the terrace seating was, so I was drawn into the shop as if I were under a spell. I didn't expect much from the food, but it was so incredibly delicious that I ate every last bit of the sauce. Not only did I get the photos of a lifetime in Venice, but the atmosphere on the terrace by the canal was also the best. The staff were very friendly, and the coffee tasted great. I was also grateful for the complimentary limoncello they gave me at the end.

08/04/2026: I visited a total of four cities in Italy, and during my four days in Venice, I had the most delicious meals of all time. The owner and all the staff were so kind. After paying, they gave me a drink that tasted like alcohol, which I really enjoyed. Thank you for leaving me with such wonderful memories.

22/03/2026: We dined at the Osteria two nights in a row, trying first courses, second courses, and desserts. I must say, everything was truly impeccable. The dishes were excellent and—the icing on the cake—the portions were quite generous. The service was also truly top-notch, with thoughtful recommendations and explanations about dishes and pairings. I can't give it 6 stars because the maximum is 5. We'll definitely be back next weekend in Venice!

14/03/2026: Beautiful location, but the food wasn't up to par. We had dinner for two. A mixed appetizer of cooked fish was good. A first course, ravioli with lemon scallops and bottarga, needed a complete overhaul. The pasta and filling were dry, and the lemon bottarga sauce was tiring after the first few bites. The dish wasn't well-balanced in flavor. A second course, grilled sea bass with vegetables, was bland. Two glasses of Pinot Grigio and filtered water. The bill was €98, excessive for how much and how well we ate. I had high expectations, but they were unfortunately disappointed. I wouldn't return.

21/02/2026: Highly recommended restaurant: the food is good, the portions are generous, and the prices are truly fair for Venice. The best thing is the welcome. The staff is friendly and helpful; they immediately make you feel at ease and take care of your table attentively without being intrusive.

04/04/2026: For us, Osteria alla Staffa was the best restaurant in Venice. A small, traditional, and very authentic place, with fresh ingredients and a cuisine that truly stands out. We ordered the ravioloni neri artigianali and the linguine con orata nostrana, and both were spectacular. Without a doubt, some of the best pasta we've ever had. If we were to return, we would order it again without hesitation. Just be sure to go early because the place is very small and fills up quickly.

21/03/2026: The waiter was friendly and pleasant, and the setting on the square is nice, but that's where the positives end. If you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine, look elsewhere. The wait time was reasonable, but €15 for a plate of pasta that wasn't even a generous portion is outrageous. Don't be fooled by the tourist reviews; it's really not worth it. Very disappointing.

05/04/2026: Rating 3.5 We weren't entirely satisfied with the restaurant's offerings. Typical Venetian dishes have probably given way to more sophisticated options over time. It's a shame. However, these were well presented and well cooked. Overall, the prices are a bit high.

04/04/2026: I met Giacomo two years ago in Mentawai and he told me about his restaurant. So some weeks ago I finally made it to venice and to Osteria da Carla. What to say..
