09/11/2025: A beautiful location, simple yet pleasant, with a partial view of St. Mark's Basin. Away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy destinations, it's a great place to spend a lovely evening with friends or a romantic dinner. Recommended.

02/11/2025: A true Venetian gem. Altanella combines a gracious, old-world welcome with a refined yet unpretentious cuisine that captures the essence of the lagoon. The dining room, adorned with mid-century works by Venetian painters, exudes understated elegance. A place for those who appreciate authenticity, heritage, and perfectly executed simplicity.

11/03/2026: We went to have a beer which the price on the QR code was €4 and then they charged us €5 because the menu was wrong and that was the price if we took the set menu, which they did not tell us.

06/03/2026: A fish restaurant with a tranquil atmosphere. High-quality, delicious dishes – the mixed antipasti are especially recommended. It's Venice, after all.

08/04/2026: We spent two nights at this delightful restaurant, even sitting indoors at night without a view of the canal. The service, food, and overall experience were impeccable. The price was fair, including an appetizer, main course, and dessert, all accompanied by Chardonnay wine from Verona on both nights. The staff were extremely attentive. We could have tried other restaurants during our stay on the island, but we preferred to return and repeat this delightful experience.

07/04/2026: The AC Hotel Venezia recommended this restaurant. When I read a bad review from someone I thought differently the review said it was expensive for what was received. I then looked at the menu and saw Black pasta with calamari and my wife saw the Sea Bass with creamy polenta. We decided to go. Needless to say that the guy who said it was expensive for what received is an idiot. Both plates were excelent and portion was more than enough. We also had the proshuto with bree cheeze, glass of wine and a beer and all of it was 82eu. I live in Miami and any chain restaurants will easily cost $150. As you can see I gave them 5 stars across the board and intend to go there for the 2 more days I will be in Venise.

08/03/2026: The food was fantastic, the service was very attentive, extremely courteous, and friendly. The ambiance was unique and historically very interesting. We received a complimentary welcome drink and digestif – both delicious and special. Highly recommended!

07/03/2026: Do not eat here! This was the absolute worse restaurant we ate at during a 9 day stay across Italy. Food came way overcooked and very bland. The lasagna was complete mush, you could not differentiate between what were noodles and where the filling began. Staff was very nice and location was quiet, but the food was really just not good at all. The dessert that came with the prix fix menu is fruit cocktail… all of the fruit we received was bruised and mushy. We just finished at this restaurant and our on our way to go get a proper dessert elsewhere!

11/04/2026: Definitely this restaurant is underrated! Not a tourist trap, all local vibes… I have been in Venice twice and both times I’ve been there. All food is good quality and taste. And also the ambience is like authentic Venice vibe! After I see another restaurants which are around 4,7-4,8.. This should be more!

08/04/2026: Venetian osteria. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. The place is clean and the staff is friendly and efficient.

24/03/2026: A regrettable experience. Overall it was fine, but ultimately the ratio between the quality of the food that was offered and the price asked was unsatisfactory. Half the price would have been a fairer value.

24/03/2026: Another recommended restaurant which I didn't really get. QR code for menu and couldn't get it to work...felt a bit rushed into ordering. Didn't have side dishes explained to me so I just had a main course which didn't come with much veg. Had bass which was actually really well done. But a bit of a weird table set up...sat between two couples on a 6 seater table arrangement and felt a bit of a lemon tbh and that I was imposing on their space. Other foid coming out looked great...its just a bit of a strange set up if you're a solo traveller. Felt as if the staff didn't really want a single person there taking up space ...just the vibe I got. Was happy to get up pay the bill and be off. A bit expensive for what I had but not madly so. Just not my thing but I'm sure others will find it perfectly good.

29/11/2025: We stopped for a spritz...we noticed they made the cicchetti on the spot, so let's go for it!! Both the cod one and the shrimp in saor one were fabulous. Then we saw a plate of fried fish at the next table and ordered that too...excellent both in terms of the way it was cooked and the quantity and variety of fish. Well done!!!

06/04/2026: MUST TRY CHICCETI HERE. They have such a wonderful selection! A little pricey for the small sizes but definitely tasty and worth it.

05/04/2026: A true gem in Venice 🇮🇹✨ I had the pleasure of enjoying ravioli with burrata and langoustines, delicately cooked with an asparagus sauce… a pure delight. The flavors were perfectly balanced, the ingredients incredibly fresh, and every bite was a true moment of pleasure. Special mention for the exceptional service: Helena was absolutely wonderful. She gave us excellent advice, all in French, which made the experience even more enjoyable and seamless. Between the quality of the food and the friendliness of the service, this is a place I wholeheartedly recommend. A truly memorable culinary experience in Venice!

16/04/2026: Friendly welcome. Overall, the food was very good. The salad was fresh and really tasty. The pizza was excellent. The spaghetti pescatora (seafood) was a bit too salty for my taste. However, the portion was huge. The seafood was cooked to perfection.

12/04/2026: Fantastic food with exceptional ingredient quality. It has very reasonable prices but the quality you get for what it costs makes it a no brainer.

25/07/2025: Absolutely fantastic dining experience! The food was beyond amazing—every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The waitstaff were exceptional: warm, attentive, and made us feel truly welcomed from start to finish. Even better…. when they are Harley Davidson family. This place perfectly captures the charm and hospitality of Venice. We will definitely be returning!

22/07/2025: Mi marido y yo decidimos planificar un viaje a Italia a última hora basado en un viaje de trabajo. Como el destino quiso, íbamos a estar en Venecia para la Fiesta del Redentor, un gran festival anual veneciano que incluye un espectáculo de fuegos artificiales sobre la Piazza San Marco. Busqué un lugar que tuviera una bonita vista de la azotea de los fuegos artificiales, y La Caravella era muy recomendable. Muy poco después de hacer una reserva, el Dr. Marianna Serandrei (que es un miembro de la familia propietaria y administradora del restaurante desde 1963 , y del hotel Saturnia desde 1908) se comunicó para asegurarme de que tenía clara la cena y para asegurarme de que quería reservar un lugar para la azotea. Ella fue increíblemente paciente tratando con mi banco de los Estados Unidos y me ayudó a organizar todo. La noche del evento, cenamos a las 7 PM. La comida era INCREÍBLE, y el servicio era de primera. Mi esposo tenía un filete que era tan tierno, que dijo que podía cortarlo con un tenedor, y yo tenía el pescado del día que era delicado, sabroso y acompañado de ingredientes locales frescos. Porque los fuegos artificiales no comenzaron hasta las 11 aprox. 30 , tuvimos bastante tiempo entre que terminamos nuestra cena y cuando se abrió la azotea. El personal era servicial en darnos todas las pruebas necesarias que, de hecho, habíamos reservado un lugar para la azotea. Cuando llegamos a la azotea a las 10: 30 , pudimos conseguir un asiento con una bonita pareja de Chicago que amablemente accedió a compartir su mesa. Las bebidas estaban incluidas en la reserva de la azotea, el personal era amable y servicial y el espectáculo de fuegos artificiales desde la terraza de La Caravella no tenía igual. No puedo recomendar suficientemente esta institución familiar. La Caravella es una visita obligada.

30/07/2025: Excelente comida, preço honesto e a porção generosa! Melhor refeição que fizemos em Veneza em 4 dias de visita a cidade! Sem dúvida indicaria para amigos! A massa deliciosa, os mussels tb! Pedimos salada e carnes e tb estava maravilhoso! Atendimento de primeira!

24/07/2025: Hemos comido muy bien, el camarero que nos atendió ha sido muy amable, incluso hablábamos español, la comida estaba muy buena , se nota que es casera, hay gente de la ciudad comiendo aquí, por eso entramos y acertamos. Lo recomiendo mucho. Muy buen precio, por cierto.
