Osteria Da Fiore In Venezia

A place with a claim. I booked through Google Maps, they responded promptly. We were greeted warmly, all the waiters were incredibly attentive and helpful. The restaurant is not the largest, the atmosphere is pleasant, with increased comfort, there is a small wonderful terrace. They kindly offered prosecco for an aperitif. Then they brought a bread basket, although it did not contain the most delicious bread. But the Sauvignon Blanc was wonderful. And, despite the fact that I ordered a glass, they opened a new, perfectly chilled bottle in front of me. The thin grissini were the best. First they brought a compliment: arancini mini with basil cream. As an appetizer, I ordered baby squid with mashed peas. Well... the dish is about nothing. For main course - eel. It completely copied the banal unagi in marinade and glazing. Garnish: mashed potatoes. The portion is not very big. Not a masterpiece either. The choice of mille-feuille with orange cream for dessert was disappointing. The dough was too dry and there was a hint of salt; only the orange cream was tasty. We must pay tribute to the waiter: in response to my comment, he brought me a wonderful piece of homemade Colombo for coffee and deducted dessert from the bill. Overall, overpriced. I wouldn't go a second time.

Really well made dishes. The imprint of the cuisine is decidedly Venetian, with interesting variations perfectly inserted into the context. Elegant environment. Extremely satisfying experience.

Eccezionale esperienza sensoriale

Abbiamo avuto modo di cenare qui la scorsa settimana con una coppia di amici. Essendo in quattro abbiamo avuto modo di assaggiare buona parte del menù che è focalizzato su pesce crudo e cotto della tradizione veneziana con un tocco di contemporaneità. Il piatto che ho preferito era a base di gamberi crudi con una spuma leggera e caviale, semplicemente fantastica! Ottima anche la carta dei vini che è parecchio estesa dando a tutti la possibilità di assaggiare vini locali e internazionali. Per noi veneziani è sempre una garanzia e un porto sicuro quando si vuol fare bella figura con amici e parenti. Prezzi in linea con gli altri ristoranti storici di pesce a Venezia.

Del tutto per caso sono tornato in questo magnifico locale una sera nella quale cercavo un posto al caldo dove trascorrere solo un quarto d’ora in attesa dell’arrivo di una persona. Sono stato accolto dal titolare, Maurizio, e da uno staff estremamente affabile e professionale...

Felice di aver scelto questo eccellente storico ristorante per la nostra veloce visita a Venezia di fine novembre. Consigliato da amico veneziano avevo leggermente nicchiato ma poi ha prevalso la curiosità. Cenato alla carta molto ma molto bene con davvero ottimi consigli dal patron in sala. Non facendo foto al cibo nel 90% dei luoghi dove voglio gustarmi una cena con la mia signora ne pubblico due dal web ed altre mie sulla città. Fateci un giro.
