03/01/2025: An acquaintance recommended this restaurant with homemade food, which is not on the tourist route. We asked for a dinner reservation. We arrived and there was still room. The attention was immediate. Their specialty is fish and seafood, although we ordered meat. Tasty, simple food. The house wine is very good. However, it seemed expensive for the simplicity of the place and the dishes.

14/11/2024: Tuve una experiencia desafortunada en este restaurante. Había reservado una mesa para dos, pero debido a que mi acompañante enfermó, tuve que asistir solo. Al llegar, en lugar de un cálido saludo, inmediatamente me recordaron su política de cancelación en un tono que se sentía frío y poco comprensivo. Le expliqué que mi acompañante estaba enfermo, pero el funcionario repitió la política sin ninguna empatía, lo que fue decepcionante. Para empeorar las cosas, al final de mi comida, el mismo miembro del personal se dirigió a mí en voz alta delante de todos, haciendo referencia a mi crítica anterior, que llevó a miradas incómodas de otros en el restaurante. Una amable pareja sentada cerca intentó consolarme por este comportamiento, destacando lo fuera de lugar que estaba. Para mí, no se trata del dinero, sino de cómo se trata a los clientes. Los modales y la empatía deben ser lo primero en la hospitalidad. Esta experiencia dejó una impresión negativa e hizo que lo que debería haber sido una comida agradable se sintiera incómodo.

14/10/2024: Reservado accidentalmente el día anterior a nuestra llegada a la ciudad. Llamó al restaurante para solicitar el traslado de la reserva al día siguiente. l (Esto esencialmente no causaría pérdida para el restaurante, ya que podríamos ser penalizados por no presentarse en la segunda noche si no fuimos a pagar por una comida). Sin embargo, en lugar de aceptar el traslado de la reserva, el restaurante simplemente nos dijo “estos son los términos y condiciones. . ” como en, vamos a tomar 80 euros de su bolsillo en lugar de mover la reserva. No nos habíamos comprometido con un menú degustación, así que cualquier reclamo de ingredientes desperdiciados sería una defensa difícil para el restaurante. El hombre al teléfono se rió bastante ya que simplemente se negó a discutir el traslado de la reserva un día. Parecía una verdadera obra. No es el tipo de lugar donde quieres gastar dinero. Hay numerosos restaurantes excelentes en Venecia sin tener que alimentar a la gente cínica y laxa que prefiere tomar su dinero por nada a haber venido a la noche siguiente. De hecho, lo perezoso que puede ser alguien para hacer que el restaurante se vea mal en lugar de mover la reserva. 01/09/2024: Sono tornata in questo ristorante perché degli amici avevano prenotato qui e non volevamo essere scortesi ma ci sarà un motivo se non ci vengo da anni. I piatti non sarebbero neanche malvagi (ma da rivedere sicuramente) ma ogni pietanza nuota nell’olio. La frittura durissima. Salvo il granchio ma aveva una quantità di pepe da rovinarne il gusto. Acustica pessima confusione totale. Non vedevo l’ora di uscire da quel rumore infernale. I camerieri sono gentili ed efficienti ma la cucina, a mio avviso, va alleggerita parecchio.

25/08/2024: Had a fantastic meal at Trattoria Andri, very simple but delicious quality food. The wine was absolutely delicious, simply white wine in a Murano glass carafe. This is local, family run but beautiful modern interior. Definitely recommend but you will need to book.

22/08/2024: La qualité des produits est excellentes, le goût est exceptionnel, si vous aimez la bonne cuisine italienne de poisson n’hésitez pas Acqua e mais est incontournable à Venise. L’avantage c’est que l’on choisit ce que l’on veut en petite quantité si on souhaite découvrir plusieurs saveurs.

08/08/2024: So many good cicchetti choices. Loved it here. Polenta is very good. The meatballs are great. For the adventurous try the fish based items like squid in ink.

06/01/2025: Surprisingly good and spicy dishes despite the location on the tourist mile at absolutely fair prices. Excellent cozze in white wine, delicious pasta and good house wine.

21/12/2024: Davvero questo “ posto” è stato il peggiore in assoluto tra i locali che ho frequentato durante il mio recente soggiorno a Venezia. Ci sono capitato, purtroppo, la sera del 5 dicembre, appena arrivato a Venezia, su consiglio di uno dei portieri dell’albergo dove ho soggiornato. Il locale, tutto sommato, non è male e potrebbe anche passare per un ristorantino caratteristico e gradevole, se solo la qualità dei cibi offerti fosse quantomeno “dignitosa”. Ma così non è stato, almeno in base alla mia esperienza. Tralasciando gli antipasti, banali come non mai, abbiamo optato per il fegato alla Veneziana e per il baccalà mantecato. Il fegato alla veneziana era buono, certamente perché era stato necessariamente preparato al momento, proprio per la tipologia della carne che non consente una conservazione di lungo tempo. Solo che era accompagnato da fette di polenta dura e senza sapore, fredda e sicuramente preparata dal mattino, se non il giorno prima! Ma peggio è capitato a chi ha scelto il baccalà’, davvero di pessima qualità e sapore, chiaramente preparato chissà quanto tempo prima e leggermente maleodorante! Per farla breve, non ci è rimasto altro che alzarci e andar via , dopo aver pagato un conto assolutamente spropositato rispetto alla pessima qualità dei cibi proposti. Questa la nostra esperienza, per cui sconsiglio vivamente a tutti di recarsi in questo locale.

17/12/2024: Recommended to us by our hotel unfortunately its wasn't quite what we were looking for the food was ok. The staff were kind but there is no music even background music and tye atmosphere was a little on the flat side. There are better places to eat in Venice for cheaper but of you want a quiet meal this may be the place for you. Also no pizza on the menu which we were surprised about.

09/07/2024: Beautiful location in the shadow. Small menu with basic selection. Famous for the seafood Cicchetti and did also have some starters.

29/06/2024: The 7th restaurant in my 11 restaurant ‘eating Venice’ extravaganza Osteria Bancogiro delivered. Located in close proximity to the Rialto Market and bridge, it’s situated in a really historic building, where in the past rich Venetians would use a messaging system to collect credits and pay debts, not liking to handle money personally. It’s a beautiful and atmospheric location to eat Venetian food. Like all my previous restaurants, my table had been booked months in advance, and reconfirmed a few days before. The comprehensive menu had plenty of choice, but with a twist. Thumbing through the pages I opted for the Scallops and Rhubarb cevicé and home made Bigola (thick spaghetti like pasta) with Lobster Sauce, Cavier and Zucchini and for dessert, an interesting looking Bavarian Mascarpone Cake with Cocoa, Maple Syrup and Truffle. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted fantastic, everything was obviously fresh and the chefs skill obvious. Wine was a local Chardonnay which matched beautiful. I have to say, the dessert was particularly interesting with the savoury truffle notes balancing the sweetness of the Mascarpone and Maple Syrup 10/10 another standout place to eat. Service was relaxed and friendly, food knockout and reasonably priced for the quality.

14/12/2024: Very clean rooms and good maintenance of the hotel, charming receptionists and the breakfast surprised us by being very good, cold cuts, delicious croissant, fruit, juice, coffee. The situation is unbeatable, 3 min. walking from St. Mark's Square in front of the vaporetto stop Highly recommended

09/12/2024: Un lugar local de gestión familiar que sirve varios platos de pasta de mariscos y comida veneciana para los dedos, principalmente mariscos en polenta. Los platos eran caseros y delirantes y el ama de casa acompañó todo muy bien.

01/12/2024: In questa frugale osteria il tempo sembra essersi fermato agli anni settanta/ottanta. Nulla è finto o ricreato ma è semplicemente stato mantenuto così com’era quando è nato. C’è un solo primo: tagliolini fatti in casa con condimento a base di pesce da scegliere. Poi tante varianti di cicchetti ancora con pesci e crostacei. Gradevole il modo di servire da parte del gentil gestore; fa tutto lui, supportato dalla signora in cucina. Ambiente semplice ma pulito. Prezzo giusto…. Si esce sazi e rilassati con poco.

05/08/2024: Negativo. Sebbene i camerieri siano molto cortesi e la posizione privilegiata sul canale con vista sulle Zattere, la vocazione è esclusivamente turistica, I prezzi sono esagerati per porzioni modeste, acqua e coperto. Il menù online e i prezzi sono diversi da quelli reali.

26/06/2024: Wij zaten buiten op het terras. De stoeltjes zaten al vreselijk. Geen kussentjes erop. Deze Osteria heeft veel visgerechten op de kaart. Wij hadden vis op venetische bereid met polenta. Het zag er niet aantrekkelijk uit en smaakte ook niet. De gegrilde groenten waren wel lekker. Na afloop konden we geen koffie of dessert krijgen. Het personeel was ook niet vriendelijk of behulpzaam. De volgende keer ga ik naar een ander restaurant. Er liggen er genoeg aan dit plein.

18/12/2024: TOP, INSANELY GOOD! I went today evening, December 17th, for a quick dinner and then ran away just two minutes away from the Do Forni restaurant to attend the sumptuous Christmas concert in the Basilica. As an appetizer, scallops with mushrooms and rice pilaf, an absurd contrast between a seafood and a land mushroom! But really good of course with the mushroom sauce!!! As a first course, the famous Tiziano risotto with champagne, a Stratospheric house classic! Side dish Grilled artichokes and vegetables. For dessert Le creeps souzet Flambate! With a scoop of ice cream! Very high quality of product and service

Avevo sentito parlare bene di questo ristorante ma la bontà dei piatti e la gentilezza del personale, soprattutto il maitre di sala hanno superato le aspettative! Da tornarci….con l’acquolina in bocca!
