20/12/2025: Top, very good, polite, competent, and a very nice location... I know they specialize in fish, but the cured meats for two are excellent, accompanied by a salad and fried artichoke. For dessert, the ricotta and black cherries are excellent. The house wine is good, the price is ok... thanks.

01/04/2026: Lunch with friends. Had a lovely day. We ate several dishes from the menu and off-menu, all excellent. Excellent wine and homemade desserts. Perfect service, courtesy and professionalism. Highly recommended.

26/03/2026: Disappointing service and ho hum rooms at a quiet hotel. We weren't exactly welcomed upon arrival or at aperitif time at the bar, and continued to feel like we were infringing on the locals' experience via our presence here. Room was about what I expected for this type of hotel, with a shared toilet/shower arrangement and a satisfactory bed, with little space to stash luggage, etc. The room did have a lovely view of the the local fortress and one of Subasio's valleys, which did add considerable appeal to the space. I can't say I was disappointed in the room furnishings as it's par for what I've seen across Italy for the price, but this was the only location out of seven hotels I've visited in Italy, where I didn't really feel welcomed.

13/04/2026: Happening on a rainy Monday in Scheggino, a beautiful medieval village in the heart of the Nerina Valley, and finding such a well-run restaurant is no small feat! 13/04/2026: During the truffle festival, I had lunch at this beautiful, very characteristic restaurant, beautifully decorated in a rustic style with charming rooms and nooks. Kind and attentive staff. Good food and generous portions. Clean, quiet restaurant.

01/04/2026: Our family with three small children had a great experience at the Taverna del Lupo. The manager/owner went out of their way to find a candle and sing for our middle child who was celebrating their birthday. The food was excellent, and the opportunity to sample different types of typical plates from Gubbio should not be missed!

08/03/2026: We stayed at this country hotel on a half-board basis (breakfast and dinner). Our room was clean and well-maintained, with beautiful stone walls and exposed wooden beams. Both split air conditioning and fan coil units were available. Our bathroom had a bathtub with a shower and a hairdryer. Sky TV and good Wi-Fi, considering there would otherwise be no internet access. A generous breakfast, both sweet and savory, was served self-service, while hot drinks were served at the table by the staff. The restaurant adjacent to the country hotel is where we dined on two evenings. The menu features mostly meat-based dishes, including local specialties, and is delicious and generous in portions. The location is also very convenient, with good access to the highway, making it easy to reach Perugia, Assisi, and other destinations.

25/01/2026: A wonderful place surrounded by greenery and tranquility. The rooms are clean and well-kept, the furnishings are exquisite. Manuele, the owner, is always available to make his guests feel at home and pampered. A special place.

16/12/2025: Beautiful old, original building. Living room/kitchen and bedroom, with a spacious balcony (great for summer). The bed was terrible: if you turn over, the rest of the hotel is awake too. It's a shame breakfast had to be ordered in advance. It's also quite a walk to the village for dinner.

07/04/2026: Simple regional dishes, fantastically prepared/cooked at very fair prices. We've certainly enjoyed more than half the menu and have never been disappointed! At least one visit is an absolute must for us when we're at the campsite.

07/12/2025: A well-maintained and well-maintained establishment, popular with locals and tourists, offering quality and quantity, suitable for ceremonies or simple birthday banquets, or even small groups or romantic dinners. It has several indoor rooms, including two large ones for larger events. The staff is friendly and courteous, the kitchen is well-stocked and well-organized, and every detail is carefully considered, creating a relaxing atmosphere. Outside, there's a large garden with a swimming pool, beautifully landscaped with plants and their embellishments, outdoor sofas and gazebos for relaxing and entertaining, and all this complemented by a picturesque lake view. Ample free and convenient parking is available. Highly recommended, and to be on the safe side, book in advance.

17/04/2026: I had lunch at this osteria today. There were two of us, and we ordered a plate of umbrichelli with wild boar ragù, a plate of umbrichelli with porcini mushrooms, a portion of peposo, and a chocolate and hazelnut mousse. The umbrichelli with ragù were delicious, very flavorful, and although the wild boar meat can sometimes be too strong, in this dish it was perfectly balanced. As for the umbrichelli with porcini mushrooms, they were also very good; for personal taste, I would have preferred them a little more "savory." The peposo, accompanied by roasted potatoes, was soft and creamy. Finally, I was very impressed with the chocolate mousse; I also appreciated the crunchy contrast provided by the hazelnuts. The staff was very courteous, not pushy when serving us the next courses, and willing to explain some of the dishes. If I were to return to Orvieto, I would definitely consider eating here again.

15/04/2026: We went for lunch on April 12th, with four of us and two dogs. The restaurant was traditional and welcoming. The food was high quality and plentiful. The prices were fair for the quality and quantity. I highly recommend it; it was a great experience.

12/04/2026: I stopped for lunch with some customers (part of a tour group). The atmosphere was very nice and welcoming, and the staff was very friendly. I ordered a Baffo all'Orvietana as an appetizer and whole wheat pappardelle with wild boar ragù as a main course. The Baffo was amazing! And the main course was also really good! Highly recommended. The place is located in an alley near the Duomo, so it's also easy to get to.

30/03/2026: A truly enjoyable dinner. I recommend the cured meats and cheeses as an appetizer. With their homemade bread, they literally melt in your mouth. To top it all off, the extremely kind ladies are there. You can taste the quality of the dishes and the care taken in the kitchen. A place I'll gladly return to.

21/07/2025: We were looking for a small restaurant just outside the city and found the perfect one: Le Delizie del Borgo is located in Silvestri Park near the two city gates and the city walls, and offers regional delicacies. We had delicious gnocchi al ragu, pasta al coniglio e con olive, tagliata di manzo, and a very good white wine from Montefalco! To finish, we had a dessert with apricot soufflé and wild berry sauce, and two coffees! The food was excellent, the service very friendly, and the place quiet! The price-performance ratio was very good!

28/06/2025: The owner is kind and friendly. The restaurant is pet-friendly. The atmosphere is romantic. It's a pleasant evening, but don't expect to eat typical Umbrian dishes; the menu is somewhat contaminated, but tasty!

14/03/2026: It's a truly historic restaurant, and that's precisely why it's so special. The food is obviously excellent: we loved it so much we ended up ordering another pasta dish. Even though we were Korean, the entire staff was incredibly kind to us. They explained the menu well and gave us excellent suggestions. The atmosphere is beautiful, but what struck us most is how they continue to respect the traditions of the past. For example, they only serve wine and water, just like they did in the past, with no other beverages. It's rare and very charming. If we return to Orvieto, this place will definitely be a must-see. Thank you so much, we had a truly wonderful meal. See you soon!

10/03/2026: I arrived around 1:30 PM after visiting the Orvieto Underground. I heard they offer a chance to sample medieval Orvieto cuisine, so I went. The server was very friendly. I had the thick, round Umbrian truffle carbonara pasta and the flat fettuccine ragu pasta. Both were delicious, especially the truffle carbonara. I highly recommend it. For dessert, I ordered chocolate cake and drank it with espresso. The chocolate cake was filled with rich chocolate cream, giving it a rich chocolate flavor.
