05/05/2026: This isn't a review, but a thank you to Dario and Samanta, two unique and rare people. We stayed three nights. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the mattress was indescribably comfortable after a day of exploring the area. We decided to have dinner there every night... the pici, the Florentine steak, the burrata-filled sweets, the platters... not to mention their homemade tarts and tiramisu, so delicious that they express all the passion of a couple who put their heart into what they do. Thank you for letting us spend four days with smiles. The laughter we shared as if we were old friends will stay with me until the next time, and I hope very soon that we'll be back... because we definitely will, your sacrifices leave a lasting impression. We love you guys, and see you next time.

30/04/2026: We stayed there for 3 nights, but unfortunately we had some problems with the room. The fan in the next room or in the kitchen was making a crazy noise. It was partly resolved, partly not. One day, we left in the morning and returned late at night to find the door to the room open. I asked for information, and the gentleman who had been in the attic told me that the TVs were broken and they had been left unlocked. With the entrance doors to the rooms always open day and night, they didn't have the key. The gate to the building was also always open, and on the floor we found everything that had fallen through the hatch in the ceiling. Breakfast was good, the croissants. We asked if we could have savory food... yes, but the lady was very annoyed and she didn't know how to make scrambled eggs. 🤷‍♀️ Very convenient location for reaching Volterra, San Gimignano, and the surrounding areas. Outside, the garden was a real mess. It's a shame because I had read good reviews.

10/08/2026: Excellent restaurant! We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious wood-fired pizzas and the gnocchi for the children. Plus, the service was great with very friendly waiters! We highly recommend it 😊 and it's very good value for money.

31/07/2026: Pleasantly busy with many locals, typical Italian atmosphere. Tasty food and friendly staff. Unfortunately, there were no gluten-free pasta options, even though this was indicated when making a reservation. Good value for money.

30/05/2026: Last Sunday I had the pleasure of attending a communion at Casale La Piaggia, and I truly feel compelled to leave this review because I've rarely felt so welcomed. The location is simply wonderful: a well-kept, authentic place, surrounded by greenery, with an elegant yet warm and familiar atmosphere. But what truly makes this place special are the people. The service and welcome were impeccable, attentive, genuine, and never predictable. Special thanks to the owner, an extraordinary person with an uncommon kindness and sensitivity that was immediately apparent. The food was excellent, prepared with quality ingredients and with great care. But what truly struck me was the attention given to me: despite being notified very quickly that a vegan person (me 😅) would be present, they didn't just "adapt" something. They created a truly vegan menu, delicious, carefully crafted, and thoughtful, making me feel not only welcomed, but truly cared for. Even the owner, who is also a chef, told me he personally searched for an ancient Tuscan recipe to prepare a special dish for me. A gesture that speaks volumes about the passion, the love for this job, and the attention to guests. In a time when those with special dietary needs often feel like a "problem," here I felt exactly the opposite: welcome. And that's something you won't forget. My compliments, truly. A place I hope to return to ❤️

14/07/2026: A small, intimate location, not huge, but very welcoming; on some days of the week in the summer, you can even eat outside. The food I tried was truly amazing. Everything was delicious, but if I had to express a favorite, the wild boar pici... THEY'RE SUPER GOOD!!!! 🐗🐗🐗🐗, as was the wild boar I had as a main course, AMAZING!!!! Ludovico, Roberto, and Ginevra pamper you and guide you through their dishes. Excellent wine selection. I also tried the truffle dishes, top! In short, I was EXTREMELY SATISFIED with this place, from the appetizer to the coffee... which, by the way, they have three different blends, also top-notch, quite different from the usual, sad, coffee they usually serve you at the end of lunch/dinner. Go there, you'll definitely be very satisfied.

12/08/2026: If you're patient enough to get there and don't mind the curves, it's worth it. It's not exactly cheap, but they offer fixed-price menus that allow you to eat at a good price.

09/08/2026: If you enjoy well-cooked Tuscan food, you're in the right place. Excellent cured meats and cheeses, and the tagliata steak is delicious and well-cooked. A must-try.

12/05/2026: Quick lunch before catching the train back to Rome. The staff was incredibly friendly, always attentive, and smiling. We had two excellent steaks with arugula and parmesan cheese...zero waste! And a plate of delicious roast potatoes. Congratulations, guys!

25/04/2026: Dinner with friends... There were eight of us, but since it was a Monday night, I wasn't expecting it to be full! However, the service and wait times were impeccable!!! The appetizers were good and plentiful, then we opted for two 2kg steaks, two different types of fish, but both sublime! The wine was served in the house "Fiaschetto" (flask), but it was truly excellent!!! The girl from Verona who served us was truly friendly and nice. A fair price, in my opinion, and more. Would I go back? Definitely YES!

I wanted to replace the potatoes with mashed potatoes, but the girl who took the menus walked away without listening to my request. Leave this restaurant to Borghese. It was the only one with a table on Easter Monday. Does that mean anything? It's not worth the expense.

We ate divinely: refined, original dishes prepared with great care, each course surprising in taste and quality. Everything was truly exquisite. The atmosphere is relaxing and intimate, perfect for a special dinner, and the service was impeccable: attentive, professional, and always friendly, making us feel pampered from start to finish. We had a fantastic evening that we will fondly remember. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a high-end dining experience. We will definitely be back!
