05/05/2026: This isn't a review, but a thank you to Dario and Samanta, two unique and rare people.
We stayed three nights. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the mattress was indescribably comfortable after a day of exploring the area. We decided to have dinner there every night... the pici, the Florentine steak, the burrata-filled sweets, the platters... not to mention their homemade tarts and tiramisu, so delicious that they express all the passion of a couple who put their heart into what they do.
Thank you for letting us spend four days with smiles. The laughter we shared as if we were old friends will stay with me until the next time, and I hope very soon that we'll be back... because we definitely will, your sacrifices leave a lasting impression.
We love you guys, and see you next time.
30/04/2026: We stayed there for 3 nights, but unfortunately we had some problems with the room. The fan in the next room or in the kitchen was making a crazy noise. It was partly resolved, partly not.
One day, we left in the morning and returned late at night to find the door to the room open. I asked for information, and the gentleman who had been in the attic told me that the TVs were broken and they had been left unlocked. With the entrance doors to the rooms always open day and night, they didn't have the key. The gate to the building was also always open, and on the floor we found everything that had fallen through the hatch in the ceiling.
Breakfast was good, the croissants. We asked if we could have savory food... yes, but the lady was very annoyed and she didn't know how to make scrambled eggs. 🤷♀️
Very convenient location for reaching Volterra, San Gimignano, and the surrounding areas. Outside, the garden was a real mess. It's a shame because I had read good reviews.
