29/03/2025: Very close to the famous Piazza del Campo and it is the best of the best in Siena. Home cooking!!! With an open kitchen. A unique delicacy. Do you want to eat really well and feel at home? Well! You have to go here!!! The decor is very simple, typical of a trattoria, the quality of the food and cooking is supreme. Exceptional. The osso buco is amazing as are the picci al ragu, both beef and venison. The peas and turnip tops are delicious. The ribs and tiramisu served in a glass cappuccino cup are also top. Really normal prices. The house wine is excellent as are the rest of the bottles they produce. Do you want to eat real Sienese cuisine? Without a doubt "alla Torre" Top staff! 25/03/2025: We decided to try this place for lunch because of the many good reviews. Do not be fooled. The good reviews are from many years ago and I believe it is under new ownership. We walked in and were the only ones inside. The young man was very kind but the “kitchen” in the corner was tiny and no food was being made. It did not smell like delicious food. The young woman in the kitchen kept glaring at us. We got up and left before ordering any food

08/04/2025: But how do you, in a traditional Tuscan trattoria, find industrial Maremma tortelli, as well as pici??? And what's more, watery and also seasoned with a fake wild boar ragù? Not to mention the table setting, with paper tablecloths and cutlery with plastic handles that are not very clean.... And yes, you pay 2 euros for the cover charge!! And the bathroom above the tiny spiral staircase? Made especially for the elderly and disabled.... certainly light years away from being minimally compliant. I give 2 stars because the mixed roast dishes and the french fries were good and plentiful. But what a disappointment not to find homemade pasta and the famous Tuscan ragù in a restaurant that reviews pass off as typical!! Where has the cook Rosanna gone? Not recommended!

01/04/2025: We had been here ten years ago and had eaten very well. During our time at home, we happened to remember this place and today, passing not too far away, we decided to go back. Now as then. We ate very well, rediscovering the flavors we remembered. Pici all'aglione, appetizer of cold cuts and pickles, soft and juicy meat cooked superbly, serious fries. Everything was excellent, like lunch at grandma's:) Classic Tuscan trattoria atmosphere, not artificial. Thanks, see you next time. A jewel, worth trying.

29/03/2025: Finalmente ho ritrovato il mio Mirko piatti leggermente creativi ma semplici allo stesso tempo ; prodotti di alta qualità un servizio cordiale e competente con un prezzo adeguato al tipo di menù consumato. Una menzione particolare allo spaghetto alla viareggina che per il mio modesto parere da ristorante stellato.

21/03/2025: Siamo ormai clienti abituali per quanto è buono tutto. Menù vario che cambia spesso, tutto sempre ottimo. Servizio veloce, titolari e personale gentili e professionali. Prezzi adeguati.

09/04/2025: The quality/price ratio is absolutely inadequate. Starting from the starter which was modest compared to the cost, a few slices of cold cuts and 2 types of croutons. The first one was good. Poor quality and overcooked steak. Inadequate price even for the side dishes. The dessert is good. Normal environment. Considering the place, the environment and also the quality of the food, which is medium level, the price paid is too high

18/03/2025: We reserved a place for dinner upon the recommendation of the gentleman where we were staying. Meat, appetizers, wine, everything was delicious and beautiful. The most unnecessary memory we have about the place was the meaningless, strange and unnecessary behavior of the young lady at the cash register, which did not fit into such a modest and pleasant place. Apart from that, the service and taste are excellent.

17/03/2025: I didn't like it, the older waiter was rude and unprofessional. He got our order wrong twice. The dessert was very ugly to look at and I didn't want to eat it. I don't recommend it

11/04/2025: Went to Antica Osteria Toscana with 4 of my friends, it is our first time visiting Florence, Italy. We had the BEST dining experience here. The food was amazing; we ordered the Pici Cacio e Pepe Pasta, Asparagus Risotto & Fiorentina Italiana Steak. The highlight was the steak ~ the beef was tender and juicy and we devoured it all within minutes. We drank Prosecco wine and ended the evening with a Tiramisu. A special thank you to our super friendly and attentive server, Adriano, he made our dining experience even more memorable. A definite must visit when you're in Florence! ❤️❤️❤️

15/02/2025: Avevo letto le recensioni positive e mi ero incuriosito. Poi arrivando in questo paesino ormai periferia di Montalcino, si fatica a credere quale valore si trovi entrando al primo piano al ristorante. Accolti dal Sig Gianluca in un ristorante piccolo ma curatissimo e con tavoli sufficientemente distanziati, ho fatto la cosa migliore che potessi fare: farmi guidare da lui stesso in un mini percorso culinario. Aperitivo antipasto e primi, tartare di chianina, finocchiona con pecorino e miele, crostino al pesto di pomodori secchi e freschi, crostini con fegatini.. sublimi, primi: tagliolini con cavolo cappuccio cavolo nero e Pomodorini secchi, pici all Ombelico del mondo al sugo di salsiccia cotti al dente pasta speciale un piatto che lascia senza fiato davvero ( scarpetta obbligatoria) Una selezione di vini rossi ottimi, e il dolce, cantuccini con crema appena fatta..e un salame di cioccolato con riso soffiato.....che dire..niente foto non ho fatto in tempo..ci siamo goduti il momento esterrefatti da tanta qualitá e sapori, non costretti in porzioni ridicole ma porzioni degne. Siamo stati fortunati a godere della presenza quasi esclusiva del Sig Gianluca in una giornata ed un orario poco affollato, della sua esperienza, delle sue spiegazioni e dei sui aneddoti. Una convivialità e un pranzo davvero speciali. Grazie grazie grazie! Consigliato assolutamente.

10/02/2025: Nel regno di Sua Maestà "la bollicina"...in casa dell'Oste Gianluca Monaci, Gran Cavaliere dello Champagne: momento di alto godimento. Cucina nostrale, sapori di una volta, della nonna, materia prima a km zero, gusti genuini...esaltati da vini di gran pregio, da una cantina con etichette prestigiose ma non solo...bollicine, italiane, francesi e rossi di struttura. Cortesia, gentilezza, professionalità e tanta simpatia e buonumore da parte di tutto lo staff. Lasciatevi guidare ed accompagnare per mano dal Mastro Oste in un viaggio sensoriale molto particolare. Consigliatissimo.

29/03/2025: If you come for a tour in the province of Florence you can't miss Trattoria da Sciabolino. My friends and I went there for dinner and we had: the Tuscan antipasto platter and the crostino with burrata, anchovy and truffle, simply extraordinary. We then continued with a second course of first courses: pici with white sauce and truffle, which were exquisite, and the unbeatable gnocchi all'ortica, absolutely a must try. For the second course, rosticciane, sausage and then the Florentine steak, the best I've ever eaten, with a side of fried artichokes and potatoes. All accompanied by excellent wine. Finally, the tiramisu to conclude a spectacular dinner. The setting is perfect for both formal and informal dinners. The service is of great quality. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

25/03/2025: Locale secondo me sopravvalutato: ambiente curato così come l’apparecchiatura, servizio discreto. Degno di nota il proprietario, molto simpatico e disponibile. Il cibo nulla di che, antipasto abbastanza anonimo, primi nella media e carne freddina. Insomma, avrei dovuto spendere la metà di quanto ho speso per quello che ho mangiato. Sinceramente non ci tornerei.

03/01/2025: Piatti gustosi, carne morbidissima, verdure fritte e funghi trifolati molto buoni. Cantina ben fornita. A chiudere una buonissima torta di mele. Ambiente accogliente, lo staff è attento e velocissimo, trasmettono il piacere di fare bene il loro lavoro. Si spende il giusto, Lo consiglio vivamente.

08/04/2025: The view was amazing. The dining room was beautiful apart from that the only music we got was the hip hop from the kitchen. Service was okay, could better check if the food was okay after served. The food was horrible especially for the price. The beef dish we ordered was very very tough. We ordered medium for the doneness, received something closer to rare. Was hard to cut with the knife, impossible to chew it, literally had to spit it out. We let the staff know when he came to clear to plate, which was the only time a staff was presence after the food was served, but no action was taken.
