30/05/2026: Excellent food, we stumbled upon it by chance, but everything was truly excellent and the service staff were extremely kind. The meat was fresh and cooked to perfection.

06/05/2026: We came in for a platter and two glasses of wine. The suggestion to make it more unique than usual made us very happy and satisfied. We truly appreciated the welcome and the owner's philosophy of using "humble" ingredients to create unusual and truly exceptional combinations! The panforte and vinsato (a sweet dessert) were also truly delicious. The only drawback was the slightly higher price compared to the standard fare. Is this justified by the uniqueness of the offering? The answer is certainly subjective.
06/05/2026: We went here for cheese and ham platters in the afternoon. We like the entrance of the place, covered by plants, very beautiful. Inside is very cozy and the owner is very friendly. Food was amazing! Love the cheese with Porcini, highly recommended and the owner made it himself! Also try the Porchetta sandwich!

04/04/2026: Excellent location, rather homey from the outside, but inside it reveals a luxurious and romantic setting. Typical Tuscan cuisine, excellent pappardelle with wild boar and sausage. Very professional and fast table service.
31/03/2026: Had an otherwise lovely dinner soured by the behavior of other patrons. The table near us had a child with them that they allowed to watch Bluey (a child's tv show that has a lot of sound effects) out loud while they were there. The location is small, intimate, and cozy so this was very distracting, annoying, and really took away from the ambiance of our romantic dinner. We asked our waiter if they could request the child put in headphones or turn it off. The table apologized to the waiter but did not make the child put in headphones or turn off the show. No respect for other patrons or the wait staff who tried to stop this. So for about 1.5 of our 2 hours there we were forced to listen to it. Unacceptable behavior that should not be tolerated, especially at a fine dining restaurant. Outside of that, the local wines were fantastic and the ravioli was amazing. The ravioli portion was small though (4 ravioli). The wild boar parpadelle was alright but I was expecting more to the sauce or at least some freshly grated parmesan on top, it wasn't much more than minced meat and noodles. But it was a better portion size than the ravioli. Additionally, the noodles were overcooked and not al dente. They were so overcooked they fell apart when you picked them up. We also ordered a second course. The guinea fowl with gravy had rich flavor but was dry. The gravy made it easier to eat. The potatoes were flavorful and cooked perfectly. Service was good. Just disappointed in this experience at the price point.

08/06/2026: The restaurant, now located inside a tennis club, is welcoming and meticulously maintained. Impeccable service offers a surprisingly refined and far from ordinary dining experience. While we waited, they brought us many delicacies, such as schiacciata and mortadella, a crispy cecina-style tartlet, creamy chickpea soup, and meatballs with livers stuffed with exceptional boiled meat! The cuisine stands out for the very high quality of the ingredients and a creative approach that doesn't overwhelm, but rather intelligently reinterprets. The cacio e pepe, for example, is offered in an unusual version with raw prawns: a contrast that works perfectly. The ravioli are among the most memorable dishes: unique, with an aromatic filling of chicken, thyme, and black truffle, they are very balanced. The Livorno-style cod is also excellent, prepared lightly, with tomato sauce and fried vegetables, but without being heavy as often happens in more traditional versions. The sea bream, accompanied by a very unique sauce, is striking for its precision and clean flavors: each element remains recognizable. The dessert concludes the experience coherently: a revisited zuppa inglese, delicate and fragrant, with a pleasant hint of orange blossom that makes it fresher and less "classic" than usual. Overall, a restaurant that focuses on technique and a contemporary identity, with well-conceived dishes and a confident hand, capable of surprising without being overbearing. They'll be moving soon, so they're worth a visit! Highly recommended!

03/06/2026: Truly excellent value for money. Being right in the center of Montalcino, I'd highly recommend it. The place isn't the most aesthetically pleasing, but the quality/price ratio is commendable. A positive note also goes to the staff (we were looked after by a young man with a long beard and no hair). Despite being short, I think, at least two members for the day ahead, they managed to handle the large crowd in more or less adequate time and always with courtesy.
31/05/2026: We were lucky enough to find the last free table on a Saturday night: the crowds never lie. Special and delicious dishes, a casual atmosphere, friendly staff, and fair prices: the best ingredients for a holiday meal. Try the saffron tripe. Recommended.

17/05/2026: We spent four days in Colle di Val D'Elsa and ate at various standard/mid-range restaurants. Compared to the other restaurants, the average lower rating is surprising. The food tastes great, balsamic vinegar is served with the salad (unlike at a more upscale and better-rated restaurant), the service is friendly and attentive, and the dishes are reasonably priced. A notable difference compared to several other restaurants in Menaggio, Prato, and Colle di Val D'Elsa: here, fresh bread is served with the cuperto (a traditional Hessian dish) instead of tasteless, dry bread! The terrace offers a lovely view of old Colle di Val D'Elsa. I only have to deduct one star for the interior, as it has a hall-like atmosphere and is relatively noisy.

05/05/2026: Delicious food and superb service. We arrived without a reservation and they accommodated us anyway. The hostess was very attentive, and the waiter guided us and answered all our questions about the dishes. It's a cozy place that allows you to have an intimate meal with whomever you're with.
04/05/2026: Located at the foot of the Ponte Vecchio, founded in 1945, "Orafo" derives its name from the goldsmiths (orafí) who once lined this street. Descending into the stone-built basement, the touristy city of Florence seems to fade into the distance. The star of the evening was Trippa alla Fiorentina. A pinnacle of Florentine folk cuisine, made with tripe simmered for a long time in tomatoes and herbs, it had absolutely no unpleasant odor, and the collagen-rich sauce, alongside the pappardelle ragu, made for a truly superb dish. Here, you'll find a "violence of ingredients" that showcases the incredible power of offal. Grazie 🍝✨

02/04/2026: I very rarely give 5 stars. Only to places where, as you walk out, you’re already thinking about when to come back. And honestly, I almost never give 2 stars either — I simply don’t visit such places. But Carmagnini del ’500 is the kind of place worth getting on a plane for and flying to Tuscany. Royal lilies on the walls, plates with a family crest. But this is not arrogance. This is self-respect. Quiet, confident, unquestioned. I’ve never had venison prosciutto like this — deep, elegant, no drama. The duck — fantastic, the kind that makes conversation unnecessary. The tiramisu — exactly as it should be. No experiments, no “modern art.” And then comes the moment when you think: “Alright, I’ve seen it all.” And they bring you the pasta with cheese… And you realize — you haven’t seen anything yet. By the way, first time in my life I was charged a €4 coperto per person. And what? I didn’t even feel offended. When the system works — even the fee becomes part of the experience. In short: this is not a restaurant. this is a place that sets the rules — and you’re perfectly happy to follow them.

07/05/2026: Nice little restaurant in the center of Arezzo. Good, tasty traditional cuisine. Friendly and helpful staff. Fast service. Pici all'agliona, rabbit in porchetta, pan-fried cooked vegetables, chickpeas in oil and rosemary, sausages, ribollita, and Chianti d'Arezzo wine. My daughter and I, while visiting Arezzo, had lunch and dinner at Il Saraceno. Highly recommended! I returned to Arezzo with my husband and had lunch at Il Saraceno. I always order rabbit in porchetta with pan-fried vegetables; my husband has tagliatelle with hare sauce, mixed salad, good wine, biscotti, and Vin Santo. Whenever I get a chance to return to Arezzo, I absolutely have to stop at Il Saraceno. The staff is very friendly and fast.
05/05/2026: I couldn't give a higher rating to Trattoria Il Saraceno in Arezzo. My partner and I discovered this place by pure chance, and we couldn't have asked for anything better! Unique atmosphere. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by a truly rare family atmosphere. It's a place where you immediately feel at home, surrounded by warmth and courtesy. Extensive menu. The selection is truly wide, capable of satisfying every craving. Excellent quality. The dishes we chose were simply exquisite. Excellent raw materials and authentic flavors that linger. Affordable prices. Excellent value. In short... We highly recommend it to anyone in Arezzo. We've already decided that every time we're in the area, we'll be returning here. 17/04/2026: A bit of Tuscany in Pavia doesn't hurt. A small restaurant in a hamlet along the main road to the Lodi area, very welcoming. Polite staff. We had a fillet steak and a tagliata, and beforehand a very good appetizer. The meat was tender and excellent, including the wine we chose. For dessert, I had a tiramisu, which was also really good. We booked through THE FORK, and the bill for what we ate was very reasonable.

04/05/2026: Years ago, I accidentally stumbled upon it on a motorcycle ride, and I returned on May 1st. Even though the restaurant was packed, we ate wonderfully, confirming my memories. The traditional first courses were delicious, and the tartare al taglio (a traditional Italian pasta dish) was divine. I'll gladly return.
24/04/2026: Definitely worth a try! I stopped in for lunch during my work break. The service was excellent and the food was truly delicious (the most tender lamb I've ever eaten!) The view was unforgettable on this spring day. I think I'll be back with my family.
