Delicious food and superb service. We arrived without a reservation and they accommodated us anyway. The hostess was very attentive, and the waiter guided us and answered all our questions about the dishes. It's a cozy place that allows you to have an intimate meal with whomever you're with.

Located at the foot of the Ponte Vecchio, founded in 1945, "Orafo" derives its name from the goldsmiths (orafí) who once lined this street. Descending into the stone-built basement, the touristy city of Florence seems to fade into the distance. The star of the evening was Trippa alla Fiorentina. A pinnacle of Florentine folk cuisine, made with tripe simmered for a long time in tomatoes and herbs, it had absolutely no unpleasant odor, and the collagen-rich sauce, alongside the pappardelle ragu, made for a truly superb dish. Here, you'll find a "violence of ingredients" that showcases the incredible power of offal. Grazie 🍝✨

A typical Tuscan trattoria, but with a twist. The location is meticulously crafted, welcoming and authentic without sacrificing a touch of sophistication. The wine list is interesting, with excellent labels and a well-curated selection. You can sense great attention to quality, even in the details: from the high-quality wine glasses (which is certainly not a given) to the discreet yet attentive and present service. The ingredients in the dishes, such as Casentino prosciutto, tortellini with helichrysum, pecorino terrine with red onions, and the typical rump... are all carefully crafted, clearly demonstrating the careful selection of ingredients and the attention to detail, right down to the final dish.

The owners welcomed us very kindly and pleasantly, giving us TOP RECOMMENDATIONS for both food and wine. Fantastic ingredients, top quality. We definitely recommend the tempura shrimp with a fantastic sauce and the rump flavored with rosemary oil and pecorino flakes. Kudos also to the truly exceptional chef!

We stumbled across this restaurant during our trip to Florence. My son treated me to a wonderful meal here for my 60th birthday. We hadn't booked but they fitted us in. A great location, just steps from the Pontevechhio. The staff were very friendly, the atmosphere was lively and relaxed. The food was delicious! Artichoke salad and artichoke flan to start; Ossobucco and beef cheek for mains; washed down with some local wine. Would thoroughly recommend this place for both the food and welcoming staff. Very reasonable, considering the quality and location. A perfect finish to our day. Grazie!

Every time I visit, I enjoy both the wonderful food and the welcoming attitude of that friendly family. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Florence. If Costanza or Allegra greet you at the door when you arrive, tell them you are Turkish; they will give you a wonderful welcome.

I studied in Florence in the 1990s, and this dear restaurant brought back many memories of the simple, authentic flavors of Tuscany. Cozy, welcoming and elegant. One of my favorite dinners a long time. Skip the tourist traps and try this gem.

Best meal I've had in Europe, which has includes a few Michelin restaurants. Veal Scallopini and add a side of roast potatoes... Great service, I felt welcomed like a long list family friend.

The best meal I’ve had in Florence….my Florentine airbnb host highly recommended…it has undergone new ownership since October 2025. The owners and staff are incredibly welcoming and warm. The dining room is intimate and lovely and the food is exceptional. My waiter was spot on with his suggestions for every aspect of the meal. Truly delicious, wonderful bursts of flavor with the best service and hospitality. Highly, highly recommended…
