18/07/2025: We stumbled upon Ponte Rosso while exploring the area and decided to dine there. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the charming Italian chef, who is also featured on the restaurant's posters. Once inside, we found an authentic restaurant with a friendly staff who spoke excellent English and gave us a warm welcome. We were invited to sit on the rooftop terrace with a beautiful view of the mountains. The menu is diverse and full of delicious dishes. We chose the coccoli, salami pizza, quattro formaggi pizza, and spaghetti carbonara, which were all absolutely delicious. For dessert, we had the caramel and chocolate cheesecake, which was also excellent. The locally brewed specialty honey beer is also highly recommended! If you're looking for fresh, authentic, and delicious Italian dishes, you've definitely come to the right place.

01/09/2025: I was a little disappointed. The prices are high and not justified by the dishes. I didn't particularly like anything; everything was okay except the scallops au gratin, which was inedible. I imagine the view is beautiful during the day.

29/08/2025: A wonderful location. Fantastic food of the highest quality, decidedly gourmet but plentiful. Excellent wine. The chef coming to say hello is fantastic. The lady in charge of the dining room is truly a lady. The surprise of the divine ambrosia at the end. We were there a few years ago. We'll be back.

08/08/2025: Dining at Ambrosia Restaurant in Cortona was an incredible culinary experience! The location is quaint and welcoming, and the dishes are superb in quality, flavors, presentation, and food pairing. But what made the experience even more special was Chef Matteo, who is not only an impeccable professional but also a warm and passionate person. We had the pleasure of attending one of his cooking classes and were won over by his passion and ability to share knowledge. I highly recommend this restaurant to food lovers, to anyone looking for a high-quality culinary experience and a welcoming atmosphere.

04/06/2025: The food and prices are very good. The staff is friendly and dog-friendly. The lasagna, insalata mista, and Tuscan pudding are delicious.

24/08/2025: The place is on top / side of the hill and the terrace offers a view onto Florence in the distance. We came for dinner in August but the terrace was not open / served. The food was a little disappointing as we head good things. All we ordered was pre-prepared and came very quickly. The Peposo del Milione was dry. The deserts however were delicious. (Pre-preparation does no harm here) Waiters we're not unfriendly but not very attentive.

24/08/2025: I was disappointed to receive mayonnaise and ketchup in containers at McDonald's along with the burger, which on the menu was offered with its own sauces. I thought I was getting sauces made by you in containers like little cups placed on the plate, and not brought and placed on the table. Also to enhance the meat, which was good. Too bad.

29/08/2025: We arrived at almost 10 pm, and they kindly let us eat, only closing the kitchen when we'd had everything. The handmade pasta dishes were truly unique. The desserts, too, were homemade, simple, and delicious. It felt a bit like stepping back into Tuscan family cooking. I'll be back for the meat dishes. The prices are fair for the quality.

23/08/2025: We ordered tortelli with meat sauce, two covers, and two bottles of water, and we spent €42. The tortelli were good, but the rest was pretty poor. The atmosphere was typical of a trattoria, a bit run-down (the bathroom wasn't clean). The cured meats at the counter were all oxidized. Furthermore, the service was very slow (about an hour for the meal).

29/08/2025: We made a reservation for 8:00 PM on August 28, 2025, and my husband, wife, and one child ate there. The T-bone steak (medium) we ordered that day was excellent, and the bread, starter, salad, and potatoes were also satisfying. My child enjoyed it, and it was by far the best steak we had in Florence. All but one of the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. They explained the unfamiliar food culture to us and were attentive to our needs, which was greatly appreciated. The only disappointment was the chubby, short, round-faced woman who first ushered us to our table. She looked angry from the moment we entered. Her service was completely inconsistent with the restaurant's reputation and atmosphere. Her English pronunciation was impeccable, and she spoke to us in a hurried manner. I even saw her rudely throwing plates at our 11-year-old. It was a fun family trip, so it didn't cause any problems, but it left us feeling very uneasy, and my wife couldn't eat much of the food because of it. If you see this review, please pass it on to the staff. As adults, especially in the service industry, your feelings shouldn't be your attitude. I hope you mature enough to be worthy of a fine restaurant.

29/08/2025: We were a little hesitant because we hadn't seen the menu outside...we went in and had a great time!! Excellent baked pecorino with walnuts and honey, handmade pici with Tuscan ragù, and exceptional stuffed tortelli! Excellent wine by the glass, and a special highlight for us was the lady who manages the tables, kind and very helpful. Highly recommended. Thank you!! Maria.

21/08/2025: The pici all'aglione were delicious. We didn't order a main course, just a side dish of chicory and beans with onion, both excellent. The mascarpone with amaretti biscuits dessert is a must. The price is right. If this restaurant were closer to home, I'd definitely be a regular. The staff was very kind and attentive. 15/05/2025: Wine bar with Tuscan cuisine, small but welcoming and well-furnished, wood predominates the furniture which is warm and in typical Tuscan style. Located near the Medici villa. The menu is well structured, we tasted cutting boards and first courses accompanied by an excellent Barco Reale wine. Helpful staff. My friend and I spent a special evening, we will definitely be back❤️

04/08/2025: A typical local restaurant; we ate there for lunch on Sunday. Local dishes, quality ingredients, and excellent service. A very quaint location and lovely atmosphere. Excellent value. Recommended if you're in the area!
