07/07/2025: Taking a cooking class with Chef Matteo at Ambrosia was an unforgettable experience that awakened every sense. From the moment we stepped into the warmly lit grotto, it was clear we were in the hands of a master who cooks not just with skill, but with soul. The highlight of the class was the pasta — hand-rolled to perfection and paired with green tomatoes and what Chef affectionately called "kissing garlic." The balance of acidity and sweetness, elevated by the subtle kiss of garlic, made for a dish that was both rustic and refined. And then there was the spinach flan — a revelation. Delicate yet rich, it practically melted on the tongue. The nutmeg crème added a velvety warmth, and the tomato shavings brought just the right brightness to round out each bite. It was a dish that felt both traditional and inventive. Chef Matteo’s passion is contagious, his techniques approachable, and his storytelling elevates every moment. Ambrosia has crafted more than just a cooking class — it’s a celebration of flavor, community, and the kind of food that stays with you long after the last bite.

02/07/2025: This spot came highly recommended, but unfortunately, it missed the mark for us. From the moment we arrived, something felt a bit off. While the one waitress on duty was impressively efficient, the overall service lacked warmth or welcome. The menu looked promising, but the food was average at best — a 3 out of 5. Compared to other meals we enjoyed throughout Italy, it simply didn’t measure up. It may have just been an off night, as the couple next to us said this was their 2nd time dining here.

15/05/2025: Wine bar with Tuscan cuisine, small but welcoming and well-furnished, wood predominates the furniture which is warm and in typical Tuscan style. Located near the Medici villa. The menu is well structured, we tasted cutting boards and first courses accompanied by an excellent Barco Reale wine. Helpful staff. My friend and I spent a special evening, we will definitely be back❤️

28/05/2025: Trattoria dall’Oste no es la opción más barata de la ciudad, pero vale cada centavo. El servicio era cálido y profesional, la comida era excelente, y la selección de vinos era excelente. Si vas a visitar Florencia, tienes que probar la bistecca fiorentina aquí, perfectamente cocinada, tierna y llena de sabor. Fácilmente una de las mejores comidas que tuvimos en nuestro viaje. Muy recomendable si buscas una experiencia gastronómica de calidad y un sabor real de la Toscana!

08/12/2024: Family-run restaurant, so simple and welcoming, with an outdoor veranda that can be used in the summer. Traditional cuisine, more than generous portions. Excellent price/quality ratio. Even though I ate a very substantial meal, I had no digestion problems. I will definitely return.

I prezzi sono veramente onesti, come non si trovano più da nessuna parte. La proprietaria è stata molto gentile con i nostri figli, ci ha persino regalato un pezzo di crostata a testa per far fare loro merenda! Se ci troveremo nuovamente nella zona ci fermeremo senza ombra di dubbio! Super consigliato!

16/06/2025: What an incredible experience we had at the Pasta Lovers cooking class. We loved cooking the 3 delicious sauces, the mouth watering meat stew, the pasta & gnocchi, & the creamy tiramisu as well! We had a lot of fun in a small group, getting to know our fellow classmates, giggling together as we sipped our wine & thoroughly enjoyed the experience guided by chef Giuseppe the owner, & chef Ayoub, who were both extremely warm, friendly & highly skilled. Sitting down in the neighbouring restaurant to eat our creations was so rewarding. Money well spent for a fantastic 3 hours in total. Loved every minute of it!

26/06/2025: Great restaurant. Here you are really a guest. Is a family business with delicious dishes for very reasonable prices. Definitely recommended! Especially the pici is great here, is a starter see 1st photo. The hamburger, see 2nd photo is a topper. Many hamburger restaurants can take an example from this. You can tell from everything that they work with fresh ingredients and that a lot of care is taken.
