08/01/2025: Location elegante e raffinata, finemente curata nei dettagli. Nei piatti abbiamo trovato eccellente qualità della materia prima, sapientemente trattata, rispettando i sapori della tradizione che il menù propone. Servizio attento e professionale. Carta dei vini molto ampia con un importante scelta di annata. Sicuramente ritorneremo se faremo nuovamente tappa a Pitigliano.

17/03/2025: Fantastic food and super authentic Tuscan cuisine - this was definitely a highlight on our road trip through the hills of Tuscany. Make sure to stop for lunch/ dinner here at Il Conte Matto when you're traveling through Trequanda. The staff was super friendly and passionate about the food they were serving. Can highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic Tuscan meal.

I love the appetizer of finely sliced ​​mixed cured meats, the fried pie and Borrettane onions are also excellent and the giardiniera is superb! Menu with wide choice, with traditional homemade first courses. Excellent service: a really attentive, fast, kind and smiling girl! Friendly owner and attentive to customer needs. 02/04/2025: All’Antico Vinaio is the chaotic sandwich heaven you never knew you needed. The paninis? Absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and basically the size of your head. Totally worth the hype. Now, the ordering system? It’s like they took Italian street chaos and turned it into a sandwich queue. No clear lines, lots of shouting, and a general vibe of “just go with it and hope for the best.” You might wait 30 minutes, or you might accidentally become part of a local film crew—who knows. But honestly? I’d do it all over again. For that sandwich? I’d fight through the confusion, the crowd, and my own social anxiety. 4 stars for the flavor and the full experience—just eat it fast before someone asks for a bite.

12/03/2025: Si salva solo la zuppa castagnetana. Antipasti ( a parte alcuni assaggi di cacciagione , mal presentanti anche ), i tortelli buono il ripieno ma del tutto sciocchi; la tagliata era grassissima e pochissima per il prezzo. I dolci, si salva solo il tortino di pasta frolla. Conto esagerarissimo e servizio lento nei nostri confronti rispetto ad altri tavoli che pur arrivando dopo , hanno ricevuto maggiore attenzione ( ad es. richiesta di gradimento di formaggio a parte per i tortelli ). I camerieri gentili, la zuppa buona ma non vale il viaggio. Le aspettative erano alte. Ps: i piatti presentati sul loro sito non sono come in realtà. Es: Patatine fritte in stick, supposizione: surgelate.

14/01/2025: Christmas lunch with fixed menu, around 40 euros per person (including children) for Tuscan appetizers, two first courses, dessert and coffee, water and wine. We found the bottles on the table already open, we had to ask several times to get the bread, I wasn't asking for dazzling smiles but at least not to feel like I was in the wrong place. I have no right to judge the quality of the cuisine but if most people leave large leftovers on their plates I think there is a reason. Nobody forces a restaurant to open specifically for 30 people but once they decide to open, diners pay real, good money and expect the service and quality of the dishes to be equally good.

19/02/2025: Walking through Volterra, we decide to stop and eat some truffles and therefore decide to ask for advice on where we can go to eat. They recommended 3 restaurants to us and taking a look on the internet we decided to try this restaurant. Very beautiful and elegant location, even though there were no other customers, we decided to go in and stop for lunch. The chef, a young boy, and the girl in the dining room, made us spend an excellent lunch with very good and well presented food, excellent choice also on the wine list. Equally interesting desserts. Good value for money. I recommend it
