I went to school in this building in the 80's & loved the then small, Cantinetta. I visit whenever I return. Last there in 2024, Jeff Goldblum arrived just after us. Excellent food & service. The Palazzo is nearly 500 years old I believe. Steeped in history, offering a current menu of perfectly prepared Italian fare.

Cantinetta Antinori is a wonderful family-owned restaurant - part of family business group, that didn't disappoint. Highlights included the rich mozzarella, a curated wine list🍷, and excellent service on the upper floor.🤵🏻
The decor is also lovely. Rating the Florentine steak 4 out of 5🥩

This ristorante is visited by Antinori wine fans from all over the world. They serve great wines, and only accept vintages of your favorite wines. I love Gualdo Altasso, so I had a great one. The atmosphere has changed quite a bit since I went there 20 years ago, but it's still very nice, and the staff were very friendly and made my time enjoyable. The food was of course delicious, and they listened to my requests, which made it a great experience. If I go to Florence again, this is a restaurant I'll definitely visit!
We visited as a couple on a weekday in late February for dinner to celebrate a special occasion, with a reservation. The staff were attentive and welcoming, and although we are not particularly knowledgeable about wine, they made the experience curated and approachable. The food was excellent, the atmosphere sophisticated yet intimate, and the overall balance between service, setting, taste, and price was impressive. A place that works very well on all levels.

Incredible service, location, atmosphere, and food! It's more upscale, you can tell it's a local place, and they do everything well. The only thing I would change is adding a little more salt to the bread :). But it's amazing, though you definitely need to make a reservation.
