03/09/2025: Returning after years, we all ate pizza, not fish. The Margherita was limp and tasted burnt, and the fried food (especially the supplì) was "dry." Except for the waiter, who was very nice and kind. I won't be returning, and I'll be reminiscing about times gone by...

12/07/2025: Excellent Sardinian restaurant. Both the pizzas and the fish and seafood dishes (octopus, mussels) are very delicious. Affordable compared to the prices of restaurants in Milan. Correct and attentive service and friendly environment. There is no much street noise. Highly recommended restaurant from my side.

31/08/2025: I haven't actually been there recently, but I've been a customer since it was on Via Casal Lumbroso. I've always eaten there very well, with a very thoughtful menu and impeccable service. I'd like to know if the ownership is still the same. Thanks.

08/09/2025: We had chosen to have lunch there for our wedding lunch in 2021, and after years it is still our choice... yesterday we celebrated our son's confirmation... what can I say, Cavallino della Giara is a guarantee, starting with Giancarlo and his wife, two wonderful and kind people, their staff equally always with a smile... the food is a guarantee, you will leave there super satisfied...

29/08/2025: I went with my girlfriend last night and we had a really good meal, excellent value for money. We spent as much as the previous evenings in mediocre and touristy places. Fresh fish with unique but tasty menu options. My girlfriend is pregnant and we found the staff prompt, kind and helpful, much appreciated and not at all predictable. The location is very nice and well-kept, we dined inside. Booking the table via WhatsApp was very helpful for us, we received a response immediately.

02/08/2025: A family-run restaurant that, despite the challenges facing the restaurant industry, manages to grit its teeth and offer its customers high-quality ingredients and excellent cuisine. We had a truly comprehensive seafood tasting, with everything from appetizers to dessert. The octopus and chickpeas were truly superb, the marinated anchovies were excellent, the mussels (probably local and not Spanish as is usually the case) were very tasty, the carpaccio was fresh and delicious, the octopus (not cuttlefish) and potatoes were exceptional. The raw salmon was flavorful and the fried lattatini were truly delicious. The pasta with veraci was delicious, the seafood linguine was excellent. The baked fish with potatoes was good, although a little overcooked, but that can happen. Very good value for money, impeccable service, and no long wait for the dishes. In short, Sardinia never disappoints; I'll definitely try the meat tasting to enjoy the famous roast suckling pig (which, I remind you, must be booked in advance). Centrally located, yet intimate, with a welcoming dining room and well-maintained outdoor area. The attention to detail and cleanliness of the restaurant go hand in hand with the cuisine, transforming a simple seafood meal into an EXCELLENT seafood meal.

21/07/2025: A wonderful Italian restaurant in the heart of Rome! We had dinner and were absolutely delighted. We ordered antipasti, pasta, seafood, desserts and wine - everything was perfect. The dishes were delicious and fresh, especially the seafood. The staff was very friendly and caring. A real pleasure - I highly recommend it!

07/08/2025: We can only agree with the other positive reviews; we had a wonderful evening with delicious food, a wonderful ambiance, and very friendly service. The view of the surrounding countryside is breathtakingly beautiful. A dog and cats snuck around our feet, but that didn't bother us; the kids were delighted. There was no menu, nor any Coke or beer. Only water and house wine, red and white, were served, just homemade products, as was the delicious menu. We were thrilled and will be back next year. Please make a reservation in advance :)) Thanks to the wonderful hosts!!

10/08/2025: We dined in a friendly, family atmosphere, greeted by the owner in a warm and welcoming manner. The bruschetta was excellent, with superb bread and quality olive oil. The baby octopus was excellent. Unfortunately, the risotto was a little undercooked, but it tasted delicious. The waiters were super kind and smiling. A truly pleasant evening. We'll be back.

03/08/2025: Ho cenato qui con alcuni amici e siamo rimasti tutti entusiasti. Il posto è semplicemente favoloso: immerso nel verde e nella tranquillità più assoluta, un’atmosfera suggestiva, curata nei dettagli e lontano dai rumori del paese. Ideale per chi cerca una serata rilassante e fuori dal caos. Il personale davvero gentile e disponibile. Ottimi gli antipasti e sopratutto la carne! Un luogo che merita davvero di essere scoperto e vissuto. Ci torneremo sicuramente!

27/07/2025: We came to this wonderful corner of paradise on the recommendation of a dear friend, and no advice could have been more accurate! Piccolo Ranch is expertly managed by the excellent Cristian, always present, professional, and discreet. The same goes for the entire staff—Erika, Manuel, and Nicola—who are excellent in organizing the restaurant and eager to please guests with their presentation of traditional Sardinian dishes. All this creates a family-friendly atmosphere, transforming a simple stay of a few days into a wonderful adventure to be repeated as soon as possible! Highly recommended!
