09/06/2025: I have been to this place a couple of times and, overall, I had a great impression. The first visit dates back to May 1st, during a holiday, when we were a large group: we were all fully satisfied with the choice. The quality of the food was very high and we particularly appreciated the sommelier's attention to the selection of wines, really well-curated. The place is small and also has an outdoor area. During that first visit we had ordered traditional Roman dishes revisited in a pop key, such as a vignarola and a ricotta and sour cherry tart: really well executed. We returned recently for dinner and tried different dishes, including fish and a bun with chicken cacciatore. The prices are medium-high, but justified by the quality. The fish seemed slightly undercooked, but overall still pleasant. The bun, on the other hand, won us over. I give 4 stars to this restaurant, both for the attention to service, always courteous and present, and for the quality of the cuisine, creative but faithful to tradition. A beautiful gastronomic experience that deserves to be tried.

03/06/2025: Excellent first courses, definitely abundant. Even the desserts were very good. Service and location in line with expectations. €3.50 for a 0.65 bottle of water, in my opinion, should be reviewed.

02/06/2025: In short we were happy with the dishes served, really good and generous portions. Too bad that one of us never ate during the two-hour wait. I understand that the restaurant was full, even if being in the center of Rome I think it is always this full). In all this we were not offered a coffee or a bitter, I hope that you will find it better

04/06/2025: A truly beautiful evening thanks to the enchanting place, the goodness of the food and above all the friendliness and courtesy of the restaurateurs, which is anything but a given in these places!! We ate there on June 2nd, on the advice of a friend...my partner was initially a bit reticent given his Roman origins and the place being so touristy. Instead, never was advice more appropriate...even the biscuits with coffee, almost as if they had read my mind. Thanks guys, I hope to come back soon to visit you!!🤗

25/05/2025: We were part of the first reservations for dinner. They were out of clams, out of lasagna, out of rabbit. we actually ordered vongole and lasagna and they didn’t even tell us they were out until we asked where our dishes were. Lastly, we overheard a staff member talking about one of our table members to another table! We’ve been to La campana 5+ times over the years, this was by far the worst. Hope to come back and treated properly.

23/05/2025: Very wel known restaurant with good reviews and kind personel. So we made reservation with high expectations .We were however a bit disappointed regarding the dishes. Quite plain and simple. Like the swordfish carpacchio was most dissapointing ; just slices lightly smoked fish with oliveoil. (See picture) The price quality ratio is regarding our experimenten too high. The interior is also plain, like a bit cold canteen style and simple, no cosy 'old style' atmosphere. Overall we were dissapointed.

07/06/2025: A super nice atmosphere, very friendly service, and pleasant conversations. You felt very welcome. The food was also very good. Special requests for children were no problem at all.

06/06/2025: We had an awesome last dinner in Rome at this spot. They have all the specialties you can think of and they're well executed. You do need to book in advance though. Maria was our waitress and she was extremely nice and energetic, simply the best. We will definitely come back when we're back in Rome, thank you guys for a memorable dinner

Una pinsa insignificante, una calamarata buona, ravioli ricotta e spinaci affogati nel pomodoro, lasciati in buona parte. Altri primi senza infamia e senza lode. Una, presunta, crema catalana servita al piatto come tre quenelle con zucchero caramellato sopra, fredde... Conto fuori dalla logica, 31€ a testa per un primo e un dessert dimenticabili

22/05/2025: Siamo tornati dal Focolare per cena. Atmosfera sempre la stessa, molto accogliente e personale molto gentile e disponibile. Abbiamo gustato Insalata di mare quale antipasto, spigola al forno e seppie con carciofi per secondo e per finire le fragole con zabaione, vera specialità della casa e preparata come sempre direttamente dal proprietario. Tutto molto buono e gustoso. Questa volta però qualcosa non ha funzionato sui tempi, benché il ristorante non fosse pieno, entrando alle 20:15, siamo usciti dopo più di due ore con soste troppo lunghe tra una portata e l'altra. Prezzo circa €60 a testa
