We chose the proposed menu and were very pleased. The traditional Roman dishes were all very good. The only flaw was the lamb, which we found far too salty, probably due to the broth, so much so that we couldn't eat it.
I would, however, like to highlight the great kindness of the waiter, who immediately offered to bring us a small plate of lamb without broth. A much-appreciated gesture, demonstrating customer care.
At the end of the dinner, we were also offered sambuca. Excellent value.

My impressions: I ordered the following dishes at this restaurant:
Polpette di bollito con salsa verde (Boiled beef meatballs with green sauce) €14.50
→I recommend these meatballs instead of pasta. I thoroughly enjoyed them.
Guancia di manzo brasata al Cesarea (Beef cheek braised in red wine) €20.00
→The beef cheek was incredibly tender and the seasoning superb.
Restaurant information:
The menu focuses on traditional Roman and Lazio cuisine, using local, seasonal ingredients, carefully selected from small local producers whenever possible.

Grappolo d’oro is a hosteria that’s featured on the Michelin Guide. We had the tasting menu and everything was decent and cooked authentically. The only slight disappointment, however, was that despite being a Michelin guide restaurant, nothing really stood out apart from the exquisitely tender beef cheek. A great value for money nonetheless!

Food was ssooo good 10/10 but! We were asked to give a tip, which is not usually a thing in Rome. We didn’t like we had to choose between 10, 15 and 20%, the waitress was there asking us to tip so it was awkward. Other than that the food was very good and honestly the food was incredible, we had pasta and some drinks and it was just divine. Perfect cacio e pepe, the staff was very incredible, had we had not been asked for the tip this would be a 10/10 place.
It was our last meal in Rome and it was wonderful, thank you Tom for your kindness.

My husband and I came here for dinner while visiting Rome. The tasting menu was incredible in both value and flavor, giving us a chance to sample a lot of different local specialties. Our favorites were the Amatriciana and the Beef Cheeks. The service and wine selection were also excellent. Would highly recommend!!

I had a truly pleasant experience. The atmosphere is welcoming and authentic, with a typically Roman feel. The dishes are prepared with quality ingredients and respect tradition, with authentic flavors and generous portions. The staff is courteous, attentive, and helpful, helping make the meal even more enjoyable. The quality-price ratio is also excellent. I recommend this restaurant to both those visiting Rome and those who want to enjoy authentic Roman cuisine. I will definitely be back!

The carbonara was the most palatable.
I think I lack understanding of the other dishes....
I can't find any umami or deliciousness in them at all.
Difficult foods
We had a lovely dinner here and shared a couple of pasta dishes. The carbonara was recommended to us, along with the amatriciana. Both were well made, with perfectly al dente pasta and fresh ingredients, although I personally found myself wishing for a little more flavour.
We also ordered the red wine braised beef cheek and wow … that was absolutely superb! Tender, rich and packed with flavour. It was easily the standout dish of the night.
The service was wonderful throughout and made for a very enjoyable evening.
