30/01/2026: Always perfect. We visit this charming place from time to time for over 10 years. And it is always perfect: the quality, the presentation, the tradition, the creativity, the atmosphere, the service, the local wine selection. Rome is not Rome for us without Apuleius.

The artichokes alla giudia, puntarelle, and abbraccio a scottadito are unsurpassed. The traditional first courses and the house tiramisu are excellent 😋

Delicious cacio e pepe, spectacular vegetables, unbeatable desserts, and for those coming from Pavia, that wholesome, warm Roman atmosphere that stays with you even afterward!!!

The cured meat appetizers are delicious, with a special mention for the porchetta, flavorful and well-balanced.
The arrosticini are also excellent, grilled, fragrant, and flavorful.
The bucatini and artichokes are average.

08/03/2026: Delicious. We tried the white pizza with pear and the fettuccine with ragù, accompanied by a limoncello spritz (strong but tasty), and it was wonderful. Large portions, made to order (it takes a little while), busy, friendly but not overly attentive waiters. Some of the best food in Italy.

21/03/2026: We went to this restaurant for lunch today for the first time because a friend of mine knew they served dishes from Basilicata. We enjoyed the food, the table service, and the hospitality. Even though it was busy, we could talk without shouting, which certainly made our lunch a peaceful experience. Thanks to Mr. Nino, who is always there to check with the tables to make sure everything is okay.

We booked at this restaurant last week and were very pleased with both the food and the service. The staff is also really friendly and professional.
Everything was excellent, and the interior is spacious.
It was crowded, so we weren't served at the same time, but the wait was worth it; the dishes were delicious, from the starters to the desserts. :)
I'll definitely be back.

11/01/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant near the tomb of Cecilia Metella and rediscovered the unique atmosphere of ancient Rome, both in the delicious dishes revisited according to the recipes of the ancient chef Apicius, and in the superlative hospitality of Paolo (the host) and his staff.
