Fraschetta Tuscolana proves that, in Rome, the best restaurants are often the simplest and least pretentious. We stopped in almost by chance for lunch, ordering a chicken tagliata with parmesan, arugula, and cherry tomatoes, and a large mixed salad with buffalo mozzarella. We couldn't have been more satisfied. So much so, that we returned for dinner the next evening, with an even better outcome.
It's rare to find a place where you eat exactly as you would at home: simple, fresh, authentic, and carefully prepared dishes, without unnecessary artifice or concessions to current trends. A special mention goes to the pasta dishes, all truly excellent. A place to keep close to home.

La Fraschetta Tuscolana is a 100% authentic Roman restaurant, located off the beaten path, so you can enjoy authentic dishes without the risk of ending up in a tourist trap.
Everything was excellent; I definitely recommend the porchetta and amatriciana, and I also recommend drizzling it all with some excellent fresh Romanella.

We went to this place the other night and immediately found a welcoming atmosphere and friendly, fast staff. We had the carbonara and gricia with truffles—SPECTACULAR! The porchetta and arrosticini were also delicious. Good value. I highly recommend this fraschetta!

This was my first time at this very cute and informal little place... Perfect for spending some time with friends... A little time, but rightfully so, since it's small, you have to give yourself the opportunity to eat fairly quickly and leave. Reasonable prices, it's a shame there's no dedicated parking... Maybe try it with a few people.
