02/08/2025: Conseillé par plusieurs nous y sommes allés assez méfiant mais le régal était au rendez-vous. Accueil chaleureux et sympathique : nous avons commencé par des anchois frits une « tuerie », puis des pâtes au homard un régal et au prix très raisonnable de 25€, et des saltimbocca. De la cuisine faite au moment , avec de bons produits: mériterait une récompense du Michelin

30/11/2025: I returned years after the review below (post-Covid) and the new owners had ruined it. The most disastrous dinner of my life. If the current owners aren't the same as in 2021, then great. But I would change the name if that's the case. -- Excellent. We had the chips as a starter—homemade and delicious—and two pasta dishes. One was carbonara, which was amazing, and the other, a daily special, was homemade fettuccine with Italian bacon, zucchini, and cream cheese. The pasta was incredible, some of the best we've ever had. With dessert and drinks, it came to €20. Very affordable in Rome for such good quality and flavor. Furthermore, the service, the attention to detail in the presentation of the dishes, and the decor of the restaurant were all excellent. Highly recommended, and we will definitely return.

14/08/2025: I'll go by points to try to be objective: Food: far from Roman cuisine. The same seasoning as the bruschetta is found in the spaghetti with clams (with onion). The service was more focused on watching TV than on the service. Ambience: A family atmosphere, but after a while, you felt like you were in the way.

10/01/2026: As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with kindness and friendliness, but the food and service were the sore points of the evening. - Food arrived late - Poor quality - Side dishes arrived at the end of the dinner - Prices disproportionate to the quality of the food. €15.00 for 4 meatballs? Are you serious? Since there's no cover charge, I have to assume the €12.00 was for the bread? 😳😳😳 What can I say? I definitely won't be back.

06/01/2026: Hosteria La Fraschetta di Padre in Figlio in Castel Gandolfo...I have to say it was a real pleasure! The service was impeccable and the food was simply divine! The tonnarelli cacio e pepe were the best! The pasta was fresh and the pecorino cream was perfect, a real treat for the palate! The tonnarelli alla carbonara and the tagliatelle alla matriciana were equally delicious. But not only that, the maritozzo alla picchiapo and the ciriola with artichokes alla cafona, guanciale, and pecorino...wow...they were an incredible surprise! The porchetta...a real treat. In short, if you're in the area, don't miss the opportunity to try this place! The quality/price ratio is incredible and the service is friendly and professional. This place is a true gem of Roman cuisine! Thank you, Hosteria La Fraschetta.

11/08/2025: We went to this restaurant based off of the recommendations from online reviews and Anthony Bourdains travel series. THIS IS NOT the restaurant that people are recommending. While appearances on the outside are the same, the sign above the door still reads Trattoria Settimio and the website and phone number still read Trattoria Settimio, once we were sat down we realized the menu and place mats had a different restaurants name. Not till after did we see a lone review that noted that the restaurant was sold and has changed hands. Food and service was decent but it seems that they are using the likeness and reputation of the Anthony Bourdain recommendation to garner customers.

01/01/2026: The ingredients aren't particularly fresh and the preparation is rather sloppy. The service, unfortunately, is of the same standard.

30/12/2025: A local landmark. Excellent selection of meats, cooked to perfection, from the simplest cuts to the finest. Delicious appetizers, beautifully plated. A simple restaurant, but consistently high in quality. The wine selection is also excellent.

08/06/2025: Este restaurante es una joya del barrio. Si quieres una comida fantástica que esté lejos de las trampas turísticas, visita Al Viminale. Todo lo que pedimos estaba muy bien cocinado, era súper fresco, y delicioso. ¡Debo intentarlo en Roma!

Waiter doesn’t care, no suggestions no information about the menu no desert menu offered , take the glass of wine while the girl still drinking really is a zero NEVER GOING AGAIN ! Look for better place this is just waste of money here!

01/02/2026: We stumbled upon this place by chance during a weekend in Rome. It's a less touristy place and very authentic. Between the location, the staff, and the service, 5 stars aren't enough. Flavio's kindness and Manuel's charm made this dinner a true culinary experience. The meat and wine selection are extensive and high-quality. It will be the first place we return to in Rome.

25/01/2026: Excellent, everything! Led by Valerio, we journeyed through top-notch dishes and exquisite natural wines. The best welcome was the melt-in-the-mouth Nebrodi black pig prosciutto, followed by an excellent Picaña carpaccio. Special mention goes to the boiled meatballs: the crispy, firm, and not at all greasy breading encloses an incredible boiled meat. The grilled meats are to die for. Valerio chose a Danish and a Spanish steak for us, both of which were, of course, amazing. Not content, for dessert we opted for a small plate of capocollo, also from Luisa Agostino, like the prosciutto we had at the beginning. I can't wait to return. Bravo!
