We expected more from a "4 restaurant" winning restaurant. Pleasant but nothing exceptional. Dry meatballs (no bread inside to soften, or boiled potatoes). In our opinion there is better.

The greatest advantage of this place is the wonderful welcome, the super friendly room service and the love of the two owners for this job. We ate many nights in a row, they let us play the guitar and didn't urge us to leave the table even if we stayed after hours. The first courses of fresh stuffed pasta are excellent and I also loved the meat and side dishes. Wine? Obviously castles!

We had dinner yesterday with friends and I must say we ate very well, the papal platter was exceptional, rich and abundant. The first courses were a pleasure, those ravioli with ricotta, porcini mushrooms and truffle were a spectacle for the palate. What can I say, we'll see each other again soon, I highly recommend it. Excellent value for money.

Excellent tavern... everything delicious and plentiful.
Mention for the exquisite matriciana. The carbonara is exceptional, a little salty for my taste... but the quality shows.

Is there a reason why it triumphed in 4 restaurants? Definitely yes. Popular and fun service, fantastic food with excellent products, see the venison cured meats. I ate some phenomenal pappardelle with white hare ragout. A huge platter of venison and wild boar cured meats, porchetta served hot, two first courses, including a very creamy cacio e pepe, half a liter of red wine from the castles, a water and two coffees €70. Price perhaps slightly high but for the quality put on the table it is ok. Negative note: coffee is €2.

Ho cenato qui con mia moglie e figlia e su 4 cene a Castel Gandolfo questa stravince!
Il locale è in pratica una stanza con pochi tavoli ed un ambiente informale. Io ho mangiato una lasagna bianco ai fiori di zucca e delle polpette alla romana, mia moglie un antipasto con scamorza al miele e bruschette e l’abbacchio, mia figlia dei tortellini in brodo.
Ogni portata è stata di altissima qualità, sincera, genuina. Ci è piaciuto molto. Servizio veloce e gentile, prezzi medio alti ma giustificati veramente dalla bontà dei piatti e qualità dei prodotti serviti

Passeggiando per Castel Gandolfo, ci siamo imbattuti in questa tipica fraschetta.
Ci siamo fermati per la cena ed è stato un colpo di fulmine. Vari piatti della tradizione. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo. Piatti abbondanti dagli ottimi e delicati condimenti. Ottimo anche il rapporto col prezzo. Il proprietario gentile accogliente e disponibile.
