17/04/2026: It's getting worse... we used to go to this restaurant for the quality of the food, but unfortunately the last two times we were disappointed, especially with the meat, which, given the restaurant's name, should guarantee quality. But yesterday they outdid themselves! The steak was tough and sinewy, as well as undercooked, not to mention the artichoke was insubstantial and had a vinegary aftertaste. The prices are high, as they are in almost all restaurants these days, but they should at least be justified by the quality of the dishes, which this restaurant has lost!

31/03/2026: We ordered a mixed fried fish dish, but it was quite greasy and not particularly appreciated. The carbonara was quite good, while the cacio e pepe was appreciated by my companion. The dessert, a berry tart, was tasty. On a less positive note, the wine was quite expensive.

14/03/2026: I have to say that under this new management, the restaurant is a cut above the rest. The staff is very kind and helpful. I ate really well, rediscovering those traditional Roman dishes of the past, and the meat was truly tender and flavorful!!! The bill was affordable. I recommend it to everyone. Congratulations guys!

28/10/2025: Calling it a wine bar is an understatement. I had the pleasure of discovering this place because some colleagues were hosting a dinner on a Friday after work. The place is very well-kept and the atmosphere is relaxing. The background music is just the right volume, allowing us to chat without having to raise our voices. The menu is varied and delicious, the portions are generous, and the food is delicious. Even those who, like me, have allergies or digestive issues will find an owner (and chef) who strives to find a compromise without completely changing the dish ordered. Two things worth mentioning: the owners' expertise in recommending wines and their approach to the customer, which makes each course a true treat. An evening worth repeating. Highly recommended, even for a romantic dinner.

27/01/2026: Rude and disrespectful owner… the chat confirms it… I kindly asked if there was room and he replied like this… the place is dirty and expensive as hell… I deeply regret the old management… they are not worthy in fact they closed… shameful… only the waiters remained nice as always and I feel sorry for them…

14/01/2026: The service was impeccable 👌🏻 the waitress is kind, speaks English, asked if everything was okay. The vibes were out of this world: family operated, welcoming, fairly clean. If you're looking for authenticity, traditional food made with love then you're at the right place. The portions are HUGE and the prices are okay. I loved every second at this place. Truly a hidden gem🥰

24/03/2026: A welcoming atmosphere, live music, and a great place for aperitifs or social gatherings. Recommended.

11/04/2026: Horrible. Owner/manager and his son (?) were rude and unhelpful from the moment we walked in. The restaurant was practically empty, but as soon as they saw we had a person of colour with us, they were dismissive and refused to serve us drinks unless we ordered our food at the same time. They refused to accept that we wanted to study the menu. We were asked to leave.

11/04/2026: Rude and pompous attitude from when we walked in. We had ordered a drink to start and were looking at the food menu but they kept questioning us about the food as though they wanted us to order and pay before they would even serve the drink. 5 trips to Italy over many years and countless restaurants. This is the only bad review I’ve ever felt was worth leaving.

18/04/2026: If you are not an Italian, don’t even think to come here. We ordered what they recommended - signature dishes. They served every Italian in the restaurant before us - resulting in 40 min waiting for two main dishes. We had to ask for bread and it’s not even fresh. The food was not good and the end they gave us the wrong bill 3 times.

07/04/2026: Unfortunately we came across this tavern out of context, a place that was not very well looked after, although kind, the food did not come close to the taste of the carbonara tradition and cacio e pepe, unwatchable, to be avoided, perhaps the old management was good. Too bad

14/04/2026: I do not recommend this establishment. The pasta dishes are small and tasteless. The pasta seems to have come from a discount store and is barely warm. The pizzas are dry, uninteresting, and bland. The cocktails are expensive at 8 euros! Add to that a 10% service charge... In short, don't be fooled by the charming little alleyway; there are much better places. If you take the time to look for them...

15/02/2026: The restaurant is located on Via di Pietralata, but parking is difficult. They don't provide a menu. You have to make do with the list the waiter gives you. The restaurant was half-empty and quite cold, and the bathrooms weren't clean. The food was decent quality. I definitely wouldn't go back.
