11/08/2025: We went to this restaurant based off of the recommendations from online reviews and Anthony Bourdains travel series. THIS IS NOT the restaurant that people are recommending. While appearances on the outside are the same, the sign above the door still reads Trattoria Settimio and the website and phone number still read Trattoria Settimio, once we were sat down we realized the menu and place mats had a different restaurants name. Not till after did we see a lone review that noted that the restaurant was sold and has changed hands. Food and service was decent but it seems that they are using the likeness and reputation of the Anthony Bourdain recommendation to garner customers.

27/07/2025: The house antipasto was excellent and plentiful, the pizza was very good, a generous size, thin and crispy, and excellent in flavor. The pappardelle with wild boar ragù was VERY good, and the service was courteous and prompt. In the summer heat, the sparkling wine on tap was definitely a welcome treat. See you soon!!!

09/06/2025: As for the experience at this place, it's definitely not one to repeat. We're only talking about the pizza we ate at this restaurant; obviously, I can't comment on anything else. The product is small, giving the immediate impression of being little more than a cheap focaccia, but for the same price as a full-sized pizza. The crust is too crusty, making it seem far removed from what one would expect from a traditional pizza. The staff is friendly.

21/01/2026: Perfect 10 out of 10 experience. It was a real Italian experience for me and my friends as foraigners.

17/01/2026: Average food, cozy resturant. The waiter behave very weird and tried to be funny and forced one of us to drink a full glass of red wine, and continued to behave strangely the rest of the dinner.

30/12/2025: A local landmark. Excellent selection of meats, cooked to perfection, from the simplest cuts to the finest. Delicious appetizers, beautifully plated. A simple restaurant, but consistently high in quality. The wine selection is also excellent.

30/12/2025: The food was good, but when ask for the bill they charged us extra for things we did not order. Adding 30 euros to our bill. So if you come here make sure you all for a detailed bill and do not pay before reviewing it!!!

08/12/2025: Always a pleasure Even today, my husband Alfredo and I ate wonderful mixed grill and tripe at Romoletto. Everyone was very kind and very quick despite the crowds. You are a guarantee.

07/01/2026: I've lived outside of Rome for several years, and when I return, I always try to stop by La Bruschetta: the flavors are authentic, and the staff is excellent and warm. I'll be back soon, I promise!

17/10/2025: I'm back after almost 30 years. I used to come here as a child with my family and to eat with friends in high school. If you're looking for a real Roman restaurant, leave the city center and go to a place that hasn't sold itself to "poshness." Roman pizzerias are like this: a casual atmosphere, a varied menu, generous portions, good food, reasonable prices... less show, more substance.

01/02/2026: Fair prices and good products, I would give 5 stars if it weren't for a bad experience I had one time in particular: I was standing in line for a while and when I started to order, the lady on staff started taking an order from another gentleman who was behind me, skipping the line, and made a fairly large order, finishing off all the pastries I wanted to order.

01/01/2026: It was not possible to use the 20% discount with the fork.. as the prices were increased for the 31st dinner by 20% (yellow post-it) on the menu, without prior notice.

07/12/2025: Service and vibes were wonderful. Great drinks and my pasta was delicious- they even let me change up my order that wasnt on the menu. My husbands steak was cooked rare when asked for medium, and it was the listed special but was much more expensive than any other steak on the menu. Our fault for not asking what the price was. Overall, great meal and the atmosphere was nice but we'd do things a little differently next time for sure.

30/11/2025: Probably the best pasta I have ever gotten in my life. Most recommended by my brother and he was 100% right. The owner and the atmosphere were also a big plus.

04/01/2026: Without a doubt, this was my worst dining experience during our six days in Rome. We went in because, visually, the restaurant seemed authentic and traditional, but from the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was tense. The food was average, nothing special, but the real turning point came when we received the bill. 91 euros for three pasta dishes and one simple meat dish, plus two beers, a bottle of water, and two coffees, seemed excessive. There may have been a misunderstanding due to the translation, but I understood that the side dishes (potatoes or salad) were included, and yet they still charged us an extra 5 euros for the potatoes. We were also surprised by the 9 euro service charge, as well as the price of the beers (6 euros each). In short, very poor value for money and an experience we wouldn't repeat or recommend. 27/12/2025: The food is undoubtedly excellent, and the quality of the ingredients is evident. However, I've noticed with regret that year after year the portions are getting smaller while the prices are rising. Paying €2.50 for a single Ascoli olive and €14 for a Margherita seems excessive, despite the quality of the ingredients. It's a real shame, because the food is worth it, but the current quantities leave a bitter taste.

25/04/2025: Per quanto riguarda il cibo ed il servizio nulla da eccepire. Il problema sorge quando si arriva alla cassa dove la proprietaria calca la mano sul conto in maniera vergognosa...4 fettine di pane da 1 cm ciascuna 6 Euro...una grappa 9 euro...una liquirizia 5 euro . Vino che puoi acquistare a 9 euro te lo fanno pagare 24 euro...X me questo si chiama furto...Non mi vedrete mai più..

14/04/2025: Cibo di buona qualità, servizio cortese ma prezzi davvero esagerati. Il caffè costa 4 euro ed il pane 3...da lì si parte.

09/12/2025: It's hard to classify this place...from the outside it looks stuffy...and from the inside, perhaps even worse, with a lot of mess and dirt. I ate here because a friend had booked for lunch with friends. On the other hand, I found the first courses to be VERY GOOD. The roast suckling pig was VERY good...the grilled meat...I didn't like it...it seemed reheated. The price was below average for what I ate.

26/11/2025: A traditional trattoria serving Roman specialties. Welcoming, helpful staff. Two gorgeous dogs. Always free parking within 150 meters, although it's very difficult to find nearby, located a few kilometers from Cattinara.
