19/06/2025: I had lunch with my family at this restaurant yesterday. The first courses were excellent. Special mention for the carbonara. All in all, a very good experience.

11/06/2025: It is an old-fashioned trattoria. The furnishings convey the time and tradition that is passed down from father to son. When you enter you have the feeling of dining at the home of old friends. The food is quality. The prices are average. I enjoyed the dinner and recommended to try it.

19/05/2025: Such a great neighborhood restaurant. The pizza was so delicious and the pasta dishes were strong. We ordered the carbonara and the amatriciana. Both very good but the carbonara was better. However, the star of the show was definitely the pizza. Highly recommend this place.

17/05/2025: We went to get three take-away pizzas (€25) and the guy forgot to bring them to us, leaving them on the counter for 10 minutes, cold pizza so not good.

17/06/2025: Locale storico del Pigneto che non ha bisogno di presentazioni e che presenta un'offerta che parte dalla colazione, attraversa il Pranzo, incontra la Merenda, e scivola via verso l'Aperitivo, la Cena, fino al drink della tarda serata. La qualità della materia prima non si discute, con una cucina che coniuga i piatti della tradizione romana con quelli del resto della penisola con qualche contaminazione estera. I Dolci sono strepitosi a dire poco. Carta dei vini curata e ampia. Il vero problema di Necci rimane però il servizio: disorganizzato, e apparentemente un po' improvvisato, con dei ragazzi che forse avrebbero bisogno di un po' più di training professionale prima di essere messi in sala. Sul resto nulla da dire: ambiente gradevolissimo sia all'interno che all'esterno. Conto in linea.

21/05/2025: A Perfect Roman Dinner Experience My wife, our baby, and I had an absolutely wonderful dinner at Le Grotte. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome — warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, especially toward our little one. The food was fantastic — we had traditional Roman dishes that were full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The pasta was fresh, the wine selection was excellent, and the tiramisu was the perfect ending to a great meal. The ambiance was cozy and romantic, yet relaxed enough for a family. It’s not easy finding a place that feels right for both adults and kids, but Le Grotte got it just right. We’ll definitely be coming back the next time we’re in Rome!

08/06/2025: Very nice place, warm and refined atmosphere. The food is high quality, excellent choice of combinations and originality in the menu. We opted for the appetizers and the main courses. Everything really delicious. Desserts are average. Good service, prices a little high

07/06/2025: The place is very nice, we had as appetizers: Caramelle, bombette, "fritto mezzo". To follow as a first course I chose tonnarello with red tuna and borage. All of excellent quality. Friendly and kind staff.

03/06/2025: The lady, very kind, told me the history of the place, and her father's passion for the horses that adorn the interior. Dinner with chicory, gricia and a glass of red. Quiet atmosphere, silent place immersed in a relaxing corner of the neighborhood.

23/05/2025: The place has two different souls: the area on the upper floor is certainly more refined and pleasant, with a pleasant atmosphere, while the area on the lower floor, unfortunately, is more reminiscent of a bunker than a welcoming space — dimly lit and a bit closed in. As for the food, nothing particularly negative, but nothing that really stands out either: the dishes are average, without any sparks. The menu is always the same, and after a couple of times it starts to seem predictable. A touch of creativity or some seasonal proposals would certainly make the difference. The real sore point remains the price: for an aperitif, the final bill is decidedly disproportionate to what is actually offered, both in terms of variety and quality. In short: a place with potential, but that needs to freshen up a bit — in the menu, in the space and in the quality-price ratio.

17/05/2025: Qué comportamiento. Incluso si claramente hicimos una reserva para la mesa interior se “preparan” como una mesa exterior con un clima bastante frío. Cuando insistimos en asientos interiores nos colocan en la mesa junto a la entrada del inodoro. Comportamiento de servicio muy común hoy en día en Italia ofrecido a personas que no hablan italiano. Probablemente ahorrando mejor mesa para caminar - en los clientes italianos. Cuando nos quejamos de la posición de la mesa nos dijeron que el restaurante está lleno, lo que era una mentira evidente, ya que había 20 : 30 y solo unas pocas mesas donde se utiliza. Por lo tanto, no podemos cambiar la mesa por una mejor posición. Camarero y gerente fue grosero y arrogante y decidimos irnos. Pitty lo que, una vez buen restaurante, se convirtió. Si quieres comida agradable y sabrosa y un servicio educado y NO eres italiano, ten cuidado con este vertedero. Usted puede encontrar mejores lugares para gastar dinero en comidas y vinos caros. NOTA: Después de mi reseña en GOOGLE, el dueño del restaurante responde y con sus “palabras” confirma todo lo anterior pero también demuestra que es chovinista grosero. ¡Eso lo explica todo!

17/05/2025: What a behavior. Even if we clearly make a reservation inside they “prepare” as a table outside with rather chilly weather. When we insist for indoor seating they place us on the table next to the toilet entrance. Very common service behavior nowadays in Italy offered to non-italian speaking persons. Probably saving better table for walk-in Italian customers. When we complain thay told us that restaurant is fully booked, which was obvious a lie, since there was 20:30 and just few tables where used. So, we can’t switch the table. Waiter and manager was rude and arrogant and we decided to leave. Pitty what, once nice restaurant, become. If you want nice food and polite service and you are NOT Italian, beware of this dump. You can find better places for spending money on overpriced meals and wines.

01/06/2025: Very friendly and helpful staff. Cosy atmosphere sat outside, although you are right next to the road. The best bread ever had at a restaurant in Rome. The pear and truffle raviolino was 10/10: not too rich, not too heavy, very tasty. The Amatriciana had some large chunks of tomato in and the Gricia was not very crunchy.

29/05/2025: This is a restaurant that was recommended to me while staying at a Korean accommodation - Pilgrim Guesthouse. Another person (local guide) also told me to try this place - Lobster Pasta (for 2 people) - so I went. It was close to the accommodation and easy to find on Google Maps. I was a little worried because there were several reviews mentioning racial discrimination, but they were very friendly and had a great atmosphere. I can't really rate the taste because I never eat pasta while traveling abroad or in Korea, but my husband was very satisfied. It wasn't salty at all, the seasoning was just right, and the portion was generous for 2 people. I sincerely thank the staff for their kind guidance.
