A good osteria in the San Giovanni area. You can choose between meat and fish dishes. The appetizers are very good, accompanied by excellent, fresh bread. Recommended for a casual dinner where substance prevails over appearance. The dishes are simple yet authentic and flavorful, and the prices are in line with other restaurants in the city. On the recommendation of Roman friends, I dined at this restaurant, and I must say it did not disappoint. This Roman trattoria is a great place for lunch or dinner, a relaxing experience with excellent food. The atmosphere is superb, and the service is top-notch. We are glad we made the decision to walk 7 mins from our Airbnb instead of the restaurant just at the ground floor of the apartment. The service is good as we are sharing, they tried to divide the serving in three. We ordered white Ragu pasta and fried zucchini flowers, both first time for us. The oxtail was melt in your mouth. The dessert actually surprised us with the cream with marsala. Simple ingredients but amazing flavour for that dessert.

02/06/2026: I went to Pentolaccia for lunch with friends. We sat outside because it was so nice, and the setting was as elegant and clean as the inside. I ordered baked salmon with pea puree, a glass of white wine, and lemon sorbet. Everything was delicious and top-notch! We'll definitely be back!
26/05/2026: The portions are very small. Everything is very scarce. The ham slices are very thin, almost transparent. The same goes for the steak. It's expensive for the service.

20/05/2026: This is still one of those authentic Roman places that doesn't lapse into folklore but maintains the values ​​of good cuisine in a simple yet authentic setting. Excellent food, with a special mention for the carbonara, certainly among the best in Rome. Portions that to call generous would be an understatement, and very fair prices! Unfortunately, I don't live nearby, but every time I'm in the area, I find an excuse to stop here. Open only for lunch, except Friday evenings and a few other exceptions. Reservations are highly recommended. Another kudos to the basic but attentive service.
19/05/2026: Fortunately, we had a great stay in this neighborhood and were pleased to discover this restaurant. The service was quick and attentive, the prices were very fair, and our dishes were wonderful!
