21/10/2025: We spent four weeks in southern Italy, and for us, this trattoria remains our best memory in terms of food, wine, welcome, and service! Thank you for these two evenings that deserve our 5 ☆☆☆☆☆

21/09/2025: There's no need for many words to describe this place, which we've been enjoying frequenting for several years. Each visit is a unique experience, beginning in a welcoming and elegant setting, with attentive and friendly service, an excellent selection of wines and cellars that accompany authentic dishes that delight the eyes, mind, and taste buds to the point of inducing the natural and ancestral gesture of "scarpetta" (tossing the bread), of course, using the delicious homemade bread. Then, we finish with wonderful desserts and excellent spirits. Congratulations to Rocco, Terry, and the entire staff.

30/11/2025: We were extremely satisfied with the food!!! It was incredible. There was also no problem with splitting the bill into 8 separate parts, which is rare. Hidden gem in Bari !

08/11/2025: We appreciated the friendliness of the young men serving us. The pizzas were delicious and the tiramisu was incredible!

03/11/2025: After two months of waiting, we finally went to lunch at the famous Il Capriccio restaurant. What a disappointment! The much-vaunted and highly praised tagliolini all'aragostella (lobster-like tagliolini) is nothing more than a mass of pasta with a questionable pulp (lobster?) mixed with a lot of cream. But can you serve a fish dish(?) with cream? An experience I'll never forget.

06/12/2025: Located in the center of Treviso, this excellent restaurant specializes in Apulian cuisine. Its modern, appealing dishes are beautiful and delicious. The place is very charming and quiet. For a different kind of evening, this is a must-try!

08/07/2025: Excellent place, delightful staff, and excellent food quality. Highly recommended for gluten-free options. Certified and with attentive customer service, I'd give it 5 stars just for the three different types of gluten-free bread they offer.

02/07/2025: Very good Italian restaurant with specialised food from Puglia and Piemonte. They have a lot of glutenfree options for lunch and dinner. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they speak really good English. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you want to eat different dishes instead of pizza, which they don't.

21/10/2025: Very homely, the girl takes all the orders by heart... for 3 or 4 tables... so if she makes a mistake you forgive her because the food is good.

09/11/2025: We had dinner at this great restaurant, inside because it was November, but the small terrace looked very nice. We opted for the classic, enormous T-bone steak, cooked to perfection, accompanied by a delicious local wine.

23/11/2025: NEVER AGAIN We had dinner with eight people at Osteria degli Spiriti, and the experience was completely unacceptable, absolutely forgettable, especially due to the terrible handling of the truffle. The final bill would have been justified if only they had shown us what truffle they were serving, how much they had grated on our plates, and at least informed us where it came from, considering the disproportionate price of each course. We found the truffle directly on the tagliolini, without seeing the piece or the weight: three dishes were overpriced, and one even more, with differences that could only make sense if you showed what you were selling! The same goes for the fried eggs with truffle: an insane price per dish, again without showing anything. A total lack of transparency. Plus, the service was incredibly long: seated at 9:00 PM, up at 12:30 AM. In return, we were treated to two cantucci each and a small piece of panettone, kindly offered by the house. Such a generous gesture that it (almost) made us forget the bill.

22/11/2025: We had a first course with ragù and meatballs (good), a classic dish with broad bean and chicory puree (excellent), and a fish main course, a very mediocre cod. This cod, in addition to being extremely salty, was immersed in a liter of cream (also extremely salty), which was not requested and not indicated on the menu, a serious matter precisely because the presence of so much lactose in a fish dish is not indicated. Instead of the rosemary potatoes as advertised, they served us a sort of puffed rice spread over this liter of cream, which they claimed was actually potatoes, but puffed. The price of the dishes is insane, unjustifiably high, and the portions are rather small.

07/12/2025: Chosen from a thousand, we returned two nights out of two because everything was fantastic. Authentic, traditional food, and the staff are a shining example: young and attentive, loving, and kind. A must-visit for a relaxing stay in Bari Vecchia. Plus, there's a recently opened shop across the street selling fabulous traditional products! Paolo and Simone

05/12/2025: The tasting menu is definitely worth the try as you get to experience a variety of flavours from the cold and hot dishes, and at a reasonable price. Staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful! Worth visiting if in Bari.

26/11/2025: Everything is spectacular but… the paccheri with monkfish are out of this world 😍

24/11/2025: Between one visit and another, we stumbled upon this restaurant. The lady who served us was very kind. The service was very fast (upon our request). The orecchiette with turnip tops were superb! Naturally handmade.

The cuisine is excellent: authentic, carefully crafted, and flavorful dishes, prepared with fresh, quality ingredients. From appetizers to desserts, everything is perfectly balanced and served with a smile. Furthermore, the value for money is excellent—it's rare to find such good food at such a reasonable price. A place that absolutely deserves to be tried (and revisited). Highly recommended! 👏🍷

02/11/2025: Third time in Bari and third time at Le Arpie ❤️. Delicious food, family atmosphere. Even if you have to wait for a table, I assure you it's worth it.

01/11/2025: Locals come here, and our hostess recommended this place. I don't regret a penny. The food is delicious, with a touch of spice, and the wine is only on tap because it's theirs, not a commercial enterprise... that's what you come here for... so savor every bite. Thank you, and kudos to the kitchen.

09/11/2025: An unconventional osteria, striving for simplicity but with quality and attention to detail. Fresh, locally sourced, delicious food. The meats and vegetables are excellent, as are the pasta dishes. There's no menu, but that's fine because the recommendations are always excellent. The wine cellar is exceptional, with great wines and excellent options for every budget. A delightful discovery.

26/09/2025: At this restaurant, located on the outskirts of Altamura, I enjoyed a culinary experience that highlights tradition and local ingredients. The menu draws inspiration from locally sourced and seasonal produce, offering dishes from the Murgia region prepared simply yet effectively. The appetizer served as an excellent overview of local flavors, with a selection ranging from classics like fried olives, eggplant parmigiana, and peppers, to more unusual combinations like friggitelli peppers with fava bean purée and farm cheese with apricot jam. Altamura bread meatballs and Venere rice with vegetables provided a touch of originality. The first course, homemade spaghetti, successfully combined the delicacy of wild fennel with the savory flavor of anchovies, all enhanced by a pleasant crunch of toasted almonds. The highlight of the evening, a Murgia lamb shank, was served with baked potatoes and raw barattieri, a combination that highlighted the quality of the meat. The dessert, finally, maintained its high standard: the ricotta and pear tart won over with its lightness, while the San Marzano cremolata with affogato provided an unusual and memorable finale.
