15/04/2026: We went for lunch on a Sunday. A very characteristic place where time has stood still in the 1980s. The cuisine is traditional. The snails are very good. The staff is friendly and helpful. Recommended.

11/05/2026: Going to Mantua and not stopping to eat at the Scaravelli restaurant in the main square is like going to Rome and not seeing the Colosseum. A fabulous location, excellent service, and truly remarkable traditional Mantuan dishes (pumpkin tortelli and more). Excellent value.

02/05/2026: The food is very good, from the tortellini to the gnocchi. The problem is the very slow service, at least today for lunch (Saturday, May 2nd): for example, we would have even ordered dessert at the end of the meal... too bad that after more than 20 minutes of waiting for the waiter to take our order, we lost our appetite! And the surrounding tables were practically empty...
In conclusion, a great place to eat in a beautiful, green setting and excellent value. My only suggestion regarding the service: more attention to timing (the staff at the tables were very courteous and welcoming, by the way).
P.S. We had booked.

Fried gnocchi, in my opinion, are industrially produced, and cured meats are of poor quality...

03/06/2026: Monday, June 1st, a quiet evening between holidays, with attentive and friendly service. The dishes were well-prepared, according to tradition, and the coffee was also good.
20/05/2026: Wonderful experience! Super friendly and hospitable service, you feel welcome immediately. Additionally, I really enjoyed the fresh pasta; everything tasted fresh and authentic. Definitely recommended!

05/04/2026: What can I say? I hadn't been there in years, and overall, I was a bit disappointed. The staff was friendly and way too fast. The food was average, with no particular highlights. The mustard wasn't really good; it tasted like cooked fruit. The dessert was basic. Overall, everything was average. I don't know if I'd go back.

16/05/2026: The service wasn't very friendly, which happens sometimes. The wine was clearly less than 10 cl, while the locals next to us had a large glass. Fine. But the food... extremely greasy, tasteless, and the eggplant was indigestible. Definitely not recommended.
